Yea my total was pretty scary as well lol.

Can someone check to see what excursions are already closed? I get to book 3/12 FINALLY!!! We want to do Costa maya ruins and scuba diving. At Caymen Islands Catamaran snorkel and Cozumel Jade Caverns.

What is everyone doing for port excursions? Since we can book ours tomorrow I'm interested in what others are doing.

Cozumel - passion island/twister
Costa maya - dolphins
Grand cayman - Atlantis submarine
Castaway - parasailing

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards so ignore my spelling.

We have no excursions planned whatsoever :). I know that does not answer your question, but I am posting it just to mention that you do not always have to schedule port excursions. We enjoy Disney cruises more for the on-ship experiences. I am so happy at port when the majority have departed to do whatever they want to do. We have the ship mostly to ourselves, the kids get a relaxing and relatively quiet club to enjoy, the restaurants are mostly abandoned at lunchtime, you can ride the Aquaduck a dozen times in an hour, etc. It is simply nice to relax on some of those port days with nothing on the agenda.

We are thinking of booking a couple excursions. I do think it's a good idea to enjoy the ship when it's less crowded so I'm keeping that in mind also.

I normally don't do any excursions, but I am taking my stepson and his family with us. This will probably be a once in a lifetime for them. And not everyone in out group is doing every excursion, my younger son and I have done some things already and we have a 2 year old in the group so she can't do many things.

I booked Palo Brunch and massage for myself and DIL. (Her birthday is during cruise)
Dolphins for DIL and older granddaughter
Stingrays for 3
Grand Cayman duck boat tour for all
Watercraft at Castaway Cay for the 2 boys. (Youngest's birthday)
Pirates League for younger son and older granddaughter.

I have 2 more cruise booked for younger son and I, and probably won't have any excursions on those lol. I may even try to sneak in another this summer if other plans fall through.

Is there a way for someone to see if there are openings on the Seaworld Explorer Semi Sub or the Nautilus Undersea Tour in Grand Cayman? Has anyone done either of these?

So far we have booked the following:

Cayman: Tiki Beach
Costa Maya: we are going to try Tropicante on our own
Cozumel: Catamaran Snorkel
Pirates League for our son
Palo brunch on sea day
Castaway: Hubby on jet ski

I have not done these, but as of now there is 11 am available for the Nautilus Undersea tour, and 11am, 12am, and 1 pm available for the Seaworld Explorer.

Thanks! Looks we have quite a few options.

Grand Cayman-nothing planned
Costa Maya-nothing planned through DCL; visiting Tropicante as a recommendation from Cruisers in our FE group from last summer:woohoo:
Cozumel-Cozumel Highlights and Mayan Ruins
Palo Brunch on Day 6:banana:
Castaway Cay-we plan to snorkel (we bring our own gear), the 5K, and water trikes

We don't have much planned as far as water activities because our 7 year old is deathly afraid of fish in the water!:confused3 We have told her it's the ocean and it's where they live, but she's not buying it.

During our first cruise ever, which was with DCL, we did book anything and just enjoyed the on-board activities. Our second trip we booked an excursion because we had extended family with us--the glass bottom boat excursion was not that exciting. :( We prefer to book fewer things so we don't feel rushed to get up and ready in the mornings AND to cut down on cost. I usually end up spending too much in Shutters anyway!!! They need to stop taking so many cute pics of my kids;)

Maybe this is a dumb question but I just booked some excursions and it gave me a confirmation, but where do you see the total cost? Can you pay for them early or only on the boat?

Thanks!

For now, you just have to add up the total yourself based on the prices listed by age. You won't be charged until you actually attend in May. The total will be lumped together in your final bill (with gratuities or anything else bought onboard) that you'll receive the night before we head back to Port Canaveral. Make sure to have a credit card on file because DCL will only allow $300(I think) to be charged to your stateroom without a credit card attached to your account.

Not a dumb question because I would've been wondering the same thing.

If you change your mind about excursions can you change it?
