May 25th, 2013 Fantasy Western!

Does anyone know if I can bring my clothes steamer on board???

According to the FAQ, you can't. While not spelled out exactly, I think clothes steamer falls under "etc".

Question
What items are not permitted on board?
Answer
(among other things . . . )
Electrical appliances such as rice cookers, hot plates, coffee makers, electric irons, bottle sterilizer and bottle warmers, electric blankets, electric blenders, etc. Please note: A limited number of approved bottle warmers and bottle sterilizers are available upon request through Guest Services. Also all ships offer laundry facilities with irons and ironing boards. Valet laundry service is also available for a nominal fee.

Just think.. when the Fantasy leaves tomorrow the next time it comes back will be for us!!!!! I was really hoping to watch it tomorrow, but will be at the Aquarium in Chicago with my son and 2 of his friends.

OK, I talked with my Disney contact and everything should be good to go on our two mixology tastings. She said she is just waiting on confirmation on where they will be putting us. I guess we will just find out when they leave the tickets in all staterooms the first day. We are set though for the date and times. She thinks we may be in the Meridian or Skyline but isn't sure. We are leaving tomorrow so I will see all of you at the meet & greet.:cheer2::grouphug:

Thanks for doing this Laura. You're very appreciated! I'm so jealous too.... Leaving tomorrow?!!!! Lucky you.

TEAM DEWEY! (blue team)

Note the room change from 8001 to 8053 for Rae! I'll try to remember to change the delivery map as well, but if you have one printed out already, just make note of the change.

Just updated the delivery map as well.

Great list! Thanks. It's not so overwhelming. I haven't really started packing yet. I've just been throwing stuff in a box as I think of it. I'll officially start tomorrow.

I know someone a while back posted an email address that can be used if anyone needs to reach us. Can you repost it?

When you carry-on water it has to be in a bag right? You can't just carry on the whole case. And alcohol has to be in your carry-on also? I have a soft sided cooler... can I put a few things in there?

Also...what is allowed? Extension cords, power strips or the plug ins that make six (IYKWIM)? I've seen different things that are and are not allowed. I just don't want something taken away if I bring the wrong thing.

Is this true? I planned on just grabbing a case on the way to port.

It's 6:55 PM EDT on May 18, 2013.
One week from now, we'll be at sea!
My first trip on the Fantasy.
It will be a difficult wait. ::yes::

I've started packing today even though we aren't leaving until Friday. We are sooooo ready!!!

If my boys wear swim trunks and tshirt to board will they be going against a dress code?? We always wear shorts and tees and then bring swim stuff in carry ons. But that is a pain to carry.
It would be easier if I just wore swim suit under my clothes. But the boys swim trunks would be too bulky to wear under shorts. What is every one else doing???

Do what is easy for you, it is vacation time. Boys in swimsuits and t shirts would look entirely fine for boarding.

Not only did my boys and husband wear swimming trunks with t shirts but I also wore swimsuit with a nice cover up to board. No weird looks for us but then we wouldn't care anyway as Disneywonderfun said its your vacation. Go for what makes you happy!

Thanks. It will be much easier to just wear our swim clothes. Now my only carry on will be alcohol. Lol. Last year I had so much stuff the stroller was used just for carting bags around.

Ok. I may start asking a lot of questions. This is my second one today, umm. Maybe third.
Should I bring cash at ports?? And if yes do they accept American money ???
We have Mayan ruins , dolphin swim and turtle farm. And adventure park booked. All through dcl.

Hi, my understanding is that Disney banned soft sided coolers from boarding now, so don't bring that one! Alcohol does have to be in a carry on, as well as the water.

I would always carry cash, and american money is gladly accepted. Bring smaller bills, as they will always give you change in local currency. I am in
grand cayman right now on business and even the bar at the RItz Carlton gave me change for american dollars in Cayman currency.
