May 25th, 2013 Fantasy Western!

Hi, my understanding is that Disney banned soft sided coolers from boarding now, so don't bring that one! Alcohol does have to be in a carry on, as well as the water.

correction, I do think that you don't necessarily have to put water in a bag, but depending on when you board, you would be 'lugging it around" with you, so for ease of use, we put in a bag that rolls.

Ok. I may start asking a lot of questions. This is my second one today, umm. Maybe third.
Should I bring cash at ports?? And if yes do they accept American money ???
We have Mayan ruins , dolphin swim and turtle farm. And adventure park booked. All through dcl.

I feel the same way!

When boarding the ship I'm planning on my girls wearing their suits under a shirt and swim shorts. Do I need to plan on carrying anymore clothes for them or will we be in our room and have our luggage before dinner? We are the late seating. I'm sitting here with piles of girl clothing in front of me feeling a bit overwhelmed. But in a week it will be well worth it.

Thanks for the answers about the drinks. I think I'll keep my cooler at home and put everything in a wheeled carry on.

When I was on the Fantasy in October we had our luggage soon after when our room was available. We couldn't believe how fast it was because we boarded around 12:30.

Conventional wisdom is to pack clothes for dinner in a carry-on "just in case". I've always had our luggage show up by 5:00 or so, but you just don't know. Doesn't have to be anything fancy for the first night.

Thanks! I got our FE gifts packed and my girls' stuff packed.

What is the best thing to bring for extra plug ins?

This is what I use, but any powerstrip would work. They don't want extension cords, but powerstrips with a short cord are OK.

Everyone go look for your passports or birth certificates. There have been two post lately of people finding out the night before they leave for their trip that they don't know where they are.:scared:

Lol. We religiously put ours in the safe the minute we come back from any trip. Helps avoid any last minute panic. Now if I can only find where I put my pirate shirt, everything will be good :)

Will someone please hit me over the head and tell me to STOP thinking of FE ideas... and then actually making them.....this is WAY too much fun!!! :cheer2:
See ya real soon....

Great! I just picked something like that up today.

I just saw all our passports so I know where they are.

Is it ok that I have 5 bazillion ziplock baggies full of stuff? I just want to be packed and done. I knew this would happen once I started packing. That's why I waited until now. I hate having to wait to pack the stuff that I'll need between now and when we leave on Thursday. At least whenever we go on another cruise I will know what I'm doing.

I saved $30 today on our car rental by modifying our reservation.

Well guys, we are packed and ready to go but I have to tell u a funny story. I am a travel agent so I am anal about travel. I dot every i and cross every t. usually i am overly prepared. Since my greatest fear is forgetting my passports, i wen to get them today and go ahead and place them in my purse so they are not forgotten. In doing that i took a second look at them to insure all was good with them......WRONG!! My 16 year old's passport has expired. It expired in April, 2013. I can not believe this!! I am so cautious and so anal about being sure everything is good to go....not sure how this slipped through the cracks. Thank Goodness that right underneath her passport was her birth certificate so we are good to go but that drives my CRAZY!!

Anyway...that's my crazy story for the day!!

Whoops lol! Just make sure she has photo ID since she's 16. Ya don't need anymore freak outs this close.

Trust me you will almost always overpack for a cruise. The problem is all of the "what if" items. You may never use them, but want to have them in case you do. I know I'm overpacked, but I really do not want to do laundry this cruise. Normally I do, but since we don't see my stepson much I don't want to waste that time on laundry.

Home from Nashvile-my DH's sister hot married this weekend.
Have to work Monday, Tuesday & Thursday. Kids have all kinds of end-of-school-year events and we leave Friday.
I guess I'll be packing all day Wedesday. So unlike me to wait till the last minute. I have made quite an extensive list so hopefully it will go smoothly & I won't forget anything. 4 different packing lists:preboarding, carry-on, cruise and post cruise Disney World weekend.
I have already packed our Passports, cruse documents & FEs. :cheer2:
Fantasy here we come!!!!

So what do we all need to check in? I have the spiral little thingy I got a few weeks ago and our passports. Am I forgetting anything? I can't wait for it to be Saturday afternoon so I can just relax.

The signature form that you print off the website. Where you did the online check in at the end there is an agreement that you print and sign. There is one in the spiral book, but they always ask for the one off the Internet (even though I'm pretty sure it's the same thing).

Oh yes! I have that in my folder also.

I too will be glad when Saturday gets here! Actually Friday will be good, I'm so ready to get out of here as my allergies are kicking my butt right now and the farmers are getting in the fields making it even worse! I'm hoping the next 4 days of rain and the Benadryl I'm taking round the clock help!!!!!

Huge tornado just passed through my town. Some lives were lost. :sad1: I am thankful that my family is safe and will really treasure our vacation time together even more now.
