We are planning on using Speedy's - as early as possible
Yes it is much cheaper on our own and more time there.
Let me know and we can arrange to meet in the am and go together.

OK -- we're all in for going on our own. I've cancelled our excursion through DCL.
So that will be 4 adults and 3 kids coming along. We'll bring our snorkel gear. We want to leave around 9:00 or so. Is that what time you all want to leave?

I have our tips priced out to $252 total for 3 of us. Of course we'll tip over if we have "excellent service". Plus we'll have some single $ bills for room service. Ds was spoiled by mickey bars each night last cruise!!

I've got to get moving and do some laundry in order to finish packing! That will have to happen this weekend...cause we are too busy for the rest of the week!! Still have to find a suitcase to use for ds.

I'll be watching Lost tonight (when I could be doing laundry..haha).

OH, i forgot to answer about the kids scavenger hunt. I think we should do that on a sea day...what does everyone else think? So what day and what time????

I bought a couple of tops a long time ago, and put them someplace "safe" so that I wouldn't wear them before the cruise. Now I can't find them. I've looked everywhere....TWICE.

I hate when that happens, but all I can say is you're not alone in putting things in a "safe" place and then can't find them. Pixie dust to you to find them soon!

The staterooms aren't ready until 1:00 or 1:30.
At checkin last time, they told us 1:00, but the room stewards kept the ropes up and told us we had to wait until 1:30.




As for tips....I think this is correct....and rounded up:
Head Waiter $10
Server $30
Asst Server $20
Room Steward $30

That's per person for a 7 night cruise.

I think we need to look at the ferry schedule and determine the time to leave the ship, we will have breakfast before we leave and then head over to Speedy's. I think it is a couple of minutes walk. I will look at the schedule and PM you on the weekend. How old are the kids?

Great -- we (Brian and Sebrett) have two kids Emily is 9 and Logan is 7. Rebekah is Alison and Danny's daughter and she's 9 too. Do you know if there will be other kids along?

I have 8 copies of the scavenger hunt printed out - it is a digital one so the kids can take the sheet and then have a couple of days to get together and take pics of the items. Then we can get together and look at their shots - they will all be different angles and such.
Perhaps we can get some donations for the team that finds them all, second and third etc.

Aubrey and I have 2 - Tarryn is about to be 15 and Adam is 11, our friends have twins, a girl and a boy and they are 9. Sounds like they will all be having a good time.
