V cool. Not sure about the sunburned bunny though. Should have put more sunscreen on :lmao:

They come in "bunny" shapes too. They are made of marshmallow with sugar on the outside.
Sometimes they're more fun to play with than to eat.
This will be us soon....Peeps on the Beach!

So we are down to 40 days!!! No wonder I am starting to have goofy cruise dreams...I am getting nervous. Since this is our first cruise, I guess I am worried about EVERYTHING! Please tell me I am worried for nothing...that it's just nerves from it all being new to me. My boys did not know about the cruise until last week...and it slipped by accident! I was going to tell them later that day anyway...but I had the dog at the vet and she said he needed a dental cleaning soon. So I said, well, he'll be here for a week in May for boarding...can you do it then?? My son just looked at me and said, "A week in May, huh?" He knew right then and there what was going on because I have been talking about "maybe" taking a Disney cruise. Oh well...it was a funny way for him to find out about it!!

Darn I hate when that happens!! I always end up opening my mouth and spilling secrets! But it did work out pretty cute.

DO NOT worry about cruising. I had dreamed of cruising ever since I watched Love Boat. It was all I ever wanted to do. We finally planned a 3 day Wonder combined with WDW when our son was 8 and our daughter 11. We wanted them to be able to remember and appreciate it.
Anyway....I was sooooo excited. All the planning and preparing.

We spent a week at WDW, and by the time we were down to about two days left, I started to get scared to death to get on the ship. I even went in and talked to the DCL representative at the Polynesian...hoping someone could calm my nerves. She told me that she only had ever heard of one person backing out at the last minute. She had a lot of good advice, but really all she could say was that once I was onboard, before we even sailed, I would see how huge the ship was (I was worried about feeling too confined) and would see that it was so wonderful.

She was SOOO right!! I got onboard, took one look around and thought "What a waste of time and energy, worrying like that!". I loved it. And a 3-day was TRULY not long enough.
We came home raving about it so much that our oldest daughter decided to get married the next year on Castaway Cay.
Since then, we've cruised 13 or 14 times....Disney, Princess and Norwegian. And I LOVE IT.

Please don't worry about it. :flower3:

Can't believer we're down to 40 days! I haven't done anything for this cruise!!! I'm so behind.

We were out of town for a few days ... headed home to Louisiana for a long weekend and had a great time.

Love all of the peeps pics. We have peeps ... may have to try the microwave wars! The girls would get a kick out of it.

Thanks...that does help. I know it is silly to worry...but, it's what I do! I am so glad that I found these boards and all of these wonderful people who provide such great information. I think I would be a mess without the DIS!

Only one thing to worry about when going on your first cruise........................THE ADDICTION!!!!

We also did a 4 night cruise for our first as we left the kids with family. Our next was a 7 night DC with the kids who actually cried when they had to get off the ship:lmao: This will be our 16th cruise and we have never done anything less than 7 night since that first. They have ranged from 7 night to 30 nights and even that didn't cure me or the kids :confused3:confused3

On our first cruise, it was just ds and I (hadn't met DH yet). I was so excited for the cruise...had planned it for 3 years (had to change the date once)! I felt SO comfortable going anywhere with Disney, and meeting up with dis friends. BUT...on the way to the cruise that morning...it hit me and I had an a anxiety attack thinking I'm taking my son on this big trip by myself! I was fine as soon as I saw the ship and it was THE best trip we've ever had to date!!!!

No need to worry...the cruise will be great!!!

I forgot to mention that we(dh & I) got our passports this weekend!! Got Ds's in the mail today! Took 3 weeks and 2 days from when we did the paperwork!

30 nights?!?!? Wow, I can't imagine any trip that long...that's a long time! I was originally going to book a 4 night to save money and test the waters so to speak. Then I found this cruise for just a little bit more money and figured that 4 nights would go by too fast and that I should grab this 7 night for the price I found. So now I am so excited...but so nervous too. I am sure we will all love it! Just wish I would stop having these goofy dreams about a ship I have never been on!

It was a spur of the moment - moment of madness when I booked that trip. Friends from Australia booked it too, I really thought it would cure me of this cruising addiction and that the kids then 9 and 12 would be bored after a week but it didn't do the trick and we went to amazing places. We cruised from Seattle to Sydney and hopefully we will be able to do long trips like that again.
Dreaming and planning is so much of the cruise experience and extends the experience.
Enjoy - there is nothing like that 'first' cruise and you will be so happy on day 4 when you don't have to pack up to go home:rotfl:

Wow...we are going to be cruising before you know it!!

DH and I were thinking about making our reservation at a hotel near his parents house for the 2 nights before the cruise. I really do NOT like the hotel too much. We only stay for the closeness to his family. It hit me today that we have leftover developer points to use by Oct 3rd. We need 38 pts, and we have exactly 38 points. I called MS today to book it, and they only have the Friday night available, so we took that! We are paying cash to stay at Pop Century the night before. We won't get in until late anyways. This will save us money$$$$ on our trip by using our DP's to stay at SSR. We won't be doing Disney then, we will be visiting family in Orlando. We just wanted a way to save money and stay in a comfortable room...LOL I'll be calling back to see if May 21st opens up before we leave!!

Anyone else staying at Disney before the cruise??? Or near the port?

All 5 of our rooms are staying at the Radisson the night before. I'd much rather stay at SSR though!:)

I have a work cruise on May 10 and it didn't make sense to fly home for the 9 days, do laundry, unpack, repack and hope I got everything. We had the points to use so why not!

Would you adopt me for the month of May?:)

We have points to use and just can't seem to get down there to use them! AKL is our home resort (since Nov of 07) and we've yet to stay there. I guess I need to stop planning cruises!!:scared1:

Hi Guys

For the Fish extender list/map, we've had our room allocation today.

#5639

Makes the whole thing seem really real now we have a room number :cool1:

I have dreams before we cruise. Now they've turned into the "unpacking/packing" nightmares. I dream that we are on the ship and I am unpacking, unpacking, unpacking...while the rest of the family is already out having fun. And by the time I'm done unpacking, the cruise is over, I missed it ALL and have to pack everything back up again.

The lesson learned from that.....PACK LIGHTLY!!!
