I went shopping today and I think I'm all finished except for my Mom.
I can never think of anything to get her....at least that doesn't cost a fortune. She just seems to deserve things that cost a fortune. Too bad my budget won't handle that. Mind you, I said she deserves it, not demands it. She keeps saying she doesn't need anything.

How is everyone? How was your weekend? I've been catching up on all the things I've been putting off.

It is SO cold here!! On Tuesday our high is going to be 46! and Wednesday morning it's going to be 26!!! Brrrr

Busy, busy, busy.....but then, that's what this time of year is all about, isn't it??

Mostly recovering from the flu, trying to organize the move of my oldest DD's furniture and boxes from here to Nebraska, work, finishing off my shopping.....now I need the items to arrive that I ordered so that I can wrap them up and ship them off.

It's really not that I'm ambitious, I'm actually lazy. I can't stand to be rushed at the last minute.

I guess everyone must be busy getting ready for the holidays.

I've been busy helping mom still. My school has been put on the backburner for now. I never knew how much stuff there was to do after someone passes away. Everytime I feel like we are almost done, at least 3 more things pop up! Also, she is getting a job from home, and has needed help getting that set up.

Our Disney Trip is 2 weeks and 1 day away!! I should pull out the suitecases this weekend!!!

I'm so excited!! A friend of mine led me to a website where I could place the items I need to move to Nebraska up for auction.
It's a lot like eBay, for moving.
I got a bid to pack, load and ship ALL of her stuff for LESS money than it was going to cost us to do it ourselves!!



I still have to go through some of the boxes, because there are things that she and her husband have duplicates of, so we're not sending those...but WOW...that's a whole lot less work for me!!!




Heather, we found out when Jay's (my hubby) dad passed away just exactly how much work there was to do. I was so overwhelmed by all of it.

Did go on an interview for a new job... today!
wish me luck...

I'm glad the cruise is getting closer. Someone needs to post periodic reminders to have me pay on the cruise. I paid our deposit & that's it. I keep telling myself that I need to pay a little each month so I'm not stuck at the end, but I keep forgetting!

I like Cherry Coke...don't drink it too often, so it's a treat when I do!

Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving. It was hard for us, being the first with out dad. But we made it through! WE had thanksgiving lunch here with mom and me, dh and ds. Then around 5pm headed to my sisters to visit with her inlaws and snack. (they had dinner). Lots of little kids...we are all pretty close, have watched their kids grow up.

We started putting up decorations already. Next Thursday we'll be at AKV!!!!

Hi all. We went to see Bolt today. We saw the preview for a new Disney-Pixar movie Up. It is to be release on May 29, 2009. That means that we'll get to see it on the cruise. Has anyone gotten to see a premiere on the ship before? Where do they show the new movies?
