Bumping us off of page 2.

It's still cold here in GA too. Someone didn't get the memo that it's still fall & not winter until December!!! Our temps yesterday were our typical January temps, not October!!! I hope it warms up for Halloween and more importantly for election day.

I know! We had a freeze warning last night! had to cover plants and the pipes outside last night! They did say we'd be warming up by Halloween!! Ds doesn't like to go out trick or treating though, he's never really enjoyed it too much. He'd rather be home and help give out the candy!

I know what you mean its a chilly 68 degrees here right now, I should of worn my robe getting the paper this morning instead of my boxers. :rotfl2:

looks like its gonna be a lightweight costume for Halloween.

Where in AZ are you located??
I'm in Cave Creek.

Northwest Phoenix, its nice to know someone else from the Hottest state in the union will be enjoying the cool temps of the carribean.

Saving us from page 3!

I've been enjoying reading the cruise trip reports! I try to find the ones that are finished because I"m too impatient to wait for the end! LOL

I have a question on Fish Extender Gifts. I know we had mentioned that we'd wait till after the Holidays to figure it all out. But I'm new to all this and need to get an idea of what exactly to expect to buy.

Do you do FE gifts every day of the cruise? and for everybody who signs up for it? Or do you just deliver gifts once or twice? Or do you just pick names and doe for only a certain family??? ANyone who has cruised and done these before have any ideas on how it usually works?

We participated on our September cruise. There is a master list of staterooms that are participating. One time during your cruise, you go and drop off a gift at each stateroom.

We had something like 135 staterooms participating on ours. It took a while to deliver the gifts!

On my last cruise, we had a list of everyone participating (and notes on who they were traveling with, genders of kids, that sort of thing) and delivered once (well, a few delivered more than once but they were super-above-and-beyond generous) to each room on the list. The organizer of the group even made a map of the ship with each cabin location. VERY helpful for deliveries!

I've also read about cruises that also do a "Secret Mickey" in addition to the regular FE, sort of like a Secret Santa, where they get one family assigned and get them a little more substantial series of gifts (like $15 total it seemed).

It definitely makes coming back to the cabin fun!

Sounds like fun!!! Thanks for sharing! The FE sounds like fun! WE'd have fun just going around and leaving the gifts! Not to mention see whant we come home to!!:goodvibes

I brought a small gift for every cabin and only gave one time. A few people did give multiple times, but that is not expected. Since the airlines now charge for checking your bags, size and weight are a concern. Another option is to ship it to your cabin ahead of time. On our Med sailing we had the good fortune to be right opposite Peter and Jenn....and they were constantly giving us goodies. I think it's because we functioned as their banker and gave them a great rate of exchange! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Either that, or because we let them visit our "penthouse" :rotfl2:

Speaking of Peter, I'm glad to see that he is back posting again.......sending best wishes for a speedy recovery. We saw Scott this past weekend and he was trying to convince John to wear a kilt!

Oboy, you mean I won't be the only one onboard kilted?

How was everyone's halloween? DS doesn't like to trick or treat, he'd rather stay home and hand out the candy. We didn't have many kids this year. We have TONS of candy left over. My mom, who is dieting, is REALLY enjoying it all :rotfl: Ds dressed up as a wrestler. (dh got a mask from work as a promotional item...so ds costume was free!!):thumbsup2

I'm having a "lazy" weekend! So far today my big accomplishment is doing 4 loads of laundry! :scared1:

Have a great weekend!

A "lazy" weekend does NOT involve four (or more) loads of laundry!

I'm having a really lazy weekend so far. I hit the big sale at Kohl's today, and combined with my $80 in Kohl's cash, I got $325 worth of stuff for only $53!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
After all that shopping, I had to come home and take a nap!

Then dinner at Chik Fil A.

Now THAT's a lazy weekend!!

We did the gift exchange on the Canal cruise, and on our June cruise, but I think Sharon and I are going to opt out this time. We just really need to pack light and kick back and relax. Also have to watch the $$$.

We know how that goes, with the luggage restrictions we will be bringing alot less, looking to see the cost of shipping a box to the Hotel, but the return shipping might be difficult. The wife is threatening to limit how many kilts I can bring. How wrong is that!!!!!

Now THAT's my kind of day!!! What a great deal you got at Kohl's!!! :thumbsup2 I love Chik Fil A....but the only one "close to us" is about 20 miles away!!!!!! We only get it when we are out that way shopping.

I understand what you mean. I started looking at things just to get an idea and it can add up really fast!!! I've been reading what some others have done for FE gifts and OMG! Still looks like fun though! ;)

I helped put a Disney meet together for another board, and I ended up putting the gift bags together. Boy, I didn't konw what I was getting myself into!!! Some people donated things to put in them and a few donated money...but I ended up paying for the rest of it myself. I made mouse pads with our boards logo on it (iron on ) and iron on bags for about 50 people, pens, CDs, etc. But it was all fun and we had a great time!!:wizard:

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: That is SO WRONG!!!

My son-in-law has a really good friend who pretty much only wears kilts. He had a "dress" one that he wore to their wedding (DD & SIL's) and then changed afterward into what I think he called a "utili-kilt"...does that sound right??
Family was joking about me dancing with someone in a skirt....not funny at all!!! He's a great guy.

Yes, a Utilikilt is a name brand of a contempory kilt, no plaid and has functional pockets. Theres always something special hanging around a man wearing a kilt, people do treat us quite different. Then of course there is a that famous question that makes wearing one quite interesting also.
