May 21, 2012 - Mickey's Mooseketeers Take Alaska 2012!

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I will be pushing hard for the docs to schedule around the trip, but if I have to cancel, I will do what I have to. I did manage to run 10 miles today, taped up extra, so its not a matter of pain, I WILL get on that ship unless I absolutely cannot go.

2058 .... Never been on deck two ... Hope it is gonna be ok ... :confused3

yea!!!

I just e-mailed out an updated FE list and map to include your stateroom!

Let's see - it's 5:45 Dallas time, which means 3:45 Vancouver time - in two weeks we'll have just finished the drill and be on our way up for the sailaway party!!

Wow Michelle - you are on top of it - Thanks for tracking everything for us! :yay:

We thought about it after I booked it and decided that we kind of liked the bus first because we could take our pictures on the way up and just relax and enjoy on the train on the way back. The train will probably be more comfortable than the bus, and we like trains a lot, so we're really good with the order we got. We would have been happy with the other one too, but either way, I think it will be a great tour.

I wanted to do the train up, but after talking to Dyea Dave, he recommended the afternoon train down as sometime it is foggy in the AM. We booked the trip to Emerald Lake and then afternoon train down. We might then catch back up with Dave for the Dyea afternoon tour, or wander about Skagway for a bit.

We're doing the same thing! Bus up to Emerald Lake, then the train back if the weather's nice. We told Dave we wanted to do the Dyea tour, too, but he said we could play it by ear and see how we feel when we get back to Skagway.

I'm sure it will be. We've never stayed on deck 2; we did IGT for our MR cruise, but got a stateroom on deck 5. I like where your room is positioned though. I love being close to the elevators. We were right behind the elevators on a RC cruise once and didn't hear or feel anything from them. I like being close to them.

I believe you're the first of us to leave on this adventure! Have a safe trip and don't forget to stop and pick us up in Vancouver!!

We leave Thursday evening... 2 hour drive then stop over at my parents house and then fly to LA on Friday!

I know I'm a little late to the party, but we just booked. I saw the note in the first post about the FE being closed, but if there is any chance then I would like to participate.

We were booked on the 7/30 Alaska sailing but scheduling conflicts and the opportunity to use some CM discounts got us here.

Hi!!! If you would like, I can add you to the FE list as a late addition. If people have extra gifts they can share, they will. But I know we have at least one participating family that has already left and there were a couple others that were placing orders. So, if you're comfortable with that arrangement, please send me a PM with your e-mail address and I will send you the list! Also, if you could include your family name that would be great - one of our participants has asked for that information.

Repo next week and this Alaskan :) we'll also be booking onboard for deck 2 on transatlantic next year

I wish we could do the transatlantic, but there is no way Christy could get that much time off all at once. We have thought about me going over with someone else and her flying over and meeting us there for the Mediterranean cruise. That's not happening anytime soon, tho :-( We might consider it for 2014.
