I need help with picking dinner on my Epcot day. I'll be going with a teen and a toddler, who isn't picky. I was thinking Garden Grill but I'm not sure how the food is for dinner. Another option is maybe San Angel Inn. Which restaurant has better food? Characters don't matter since we have other character meals booked, just looking for good food. Thanks.

Best thing about San Angel is the atmosphere, very nice, chill, low lights. Kids might calm down a bit (if that's a good thing.)

Garden Grill is novel for the rotation, food is average but there's plenty of it. You mentioned characters are not a priority, but this is generally a really good spot for character interaction.

Agree about the vibe @ San Angel. It's neat watching the boats from the Grand Fiesta Tour float by with the volcano background.

I like the Queso Fundito appetizer and the margaritas are very well made.

Garden Grill is Liberty Tree Tavern like . Family style, starts with a salad then platter of turkey, steak slices, mashed potato, a vegetable, Mac and cheese with a strawberry shortcake for dessert. Comfort food.

Our go-to was Hacienda, but post-pandemic the food quality has decreased while the prices have increased. Our recent favorites have been Biergarten, which is a buffet with live music, or Via Napoli. We had avoided Via Napoli for a while due to a bad experience, but genuinely enjoyed it last summer. Much better service and food quality this time! Both venues can get loud, which may not be what you are looking for.

Our only experience at Garden Grill has been for breakfast, but the food was solid and the character interaction was great. That and 'Ohana breakfast are our "musts" for breakfast.

We enjoyed San Angel. The atmosphere is unique and fun and I remember liking whatever I got, but it’s been a while. Another option I would suggest is Chefs de France. We tried it for the first time on our last trip and we enjoyed it. It’s not authentic French cuisine, of course, but I thought it was good. We’ve never done Garden Grill, so I can’t help there.
