It will be very strange not hearing from all of you for a week before we leave for Vancouver :-) I hope you (and know you will) have a fantastic Pacific Coast cruise. I am very excited about meeting everyone on Monday, May 21!

Speaking of May 21...when and where are we meeting?

I think all of the pixie dust helped! My doctor cleared me to go cruising :woohoo:. I did tear things, I still may need surgery, but not until June :cool1:. In the meantime, I get to wear a super snazzy (and horribly awkward) hand splint 24/7 to see if my hand will heal on its own. Kayaking and ziplining are definitely out, cancelling them tonight. Luckily those seem to be the only activities that are on the chopping block, unless you count swimming (which since its Alaska rather than the Caribbean, I am really ok with). So, now that one stress is over, instead I can return to the packing stress and figuring out what to put in place of our two big excursions at the last minute. And giving up the elaborate FE plans which I had in mind (not the gifts, the actual extender for our door, its still in pieces that were supposed to be sewn this week and now may have to be severely modified - forgive our final product as a result...). Oh goodness, well, at least I can still go!!!

Prayers were answered! So glad that you are back with us even if your activities are limited...you may find some hidden gems in a more laid back trip. Can't wait to give you a hug!

Yea!!! Great news!!

And for your FE - two thoughts - liquid stitch and duct tape! :thumbsup2

just put a plastic grocery bag out...we all know what you are going through! Hang in there!

We're doing the same thing! Bus up to Emerald Lake, then the train back if the weather's nice. We told Dave we wanted to do the Dyea tour, too, but he said we could play it by ear and see how we feel when we get back to Skagway.

Glad to know there will be another friendly face on the bus. :)

Hi there-
We are new to DCL and I just learned about the DIS boards. Is it too late for us to join this group for the May 21, 2012 Wonder sailing to Alaska? We are traveling with a DS 5, and a DS 2, my hubby and myself.
Taking the train on Sunday from Seattle to Vancouver...SO EXCITED!

We also just learned about the FE. Is it too late to participate?
Thanks for any info!

Welcome - you will have a great time.

In regards to the FE - we can add you to the list - I am not sure how many will be able to add you but we can try - Michelle can email you the list so you have the other cabins participating. Please post your info here.

Thanks!

Welcome!! :yay: Please send me an email at mrp4352@yahoo.com so I can get your e-mail. I don't know how many will be able to share with the FE, (we have several that have left already or are leaving tomorrow because they are on the cruise before ours and our cruise) but everyone who can, will, I'm sure!! Also, can you provide your stateroom number?
