May 21, 2006 4 night Wonder

Disneyman36, What a great gift! When we booked in Jan. through DCL, they indicated that our deck 2 aft was it. Maybe someone had just canceled. I let them know we would like mid ship, but I get the feeling connecting rooms are not that easy to come by.
The reason I mentioned the available rooms was b/c on DCL website there are at least one of cat 4-12 available. Go to DCL and pretend your booking for three for our cruise.

Did you all request early or late dining? That was a big decision for us. Can't miss anything!! pirate:

Being this our first cruise we went into this aventure not knowing anything. I found this board after we booked and learned a ton since, with a little help from the porter's/Birnbaum's guide book.

We took the eairly seating 6:00. I hope I made a good decision in this time but still not sure. Going by the boards all the seatings have the goods and bads. The only bad I see from this time will be sunday rushing around after the safety drill and party to go to dinner. other than that I think it will be great and we cant wait. :Pinkbounc

We're doing the early seating as well. DD and I usually eat around 6:00 at home, so the late seating would be way too late for us. Plus, I like the idea of seeing shows after dinner. It would be weird for us to see a show and then go to dinner.

We are doing the early dinner seating as well because last year my son who was 5 years old slept through every dinner, he was way to tired from the days excitement.:faint:

Last year we had late seating for the first time. Our other two cruises were early. We like the earlier seating better, seems like more time for late night activities and not as stuffed when they bring late night sweets around.Even at 10 or 11pm they walk around with trays of sweets or cheese. So we booked early again. :cool1:

We also decided on the earlier seating. We just weren't sure about pushing 3 year old that late. He would have to have a long late nap, and might miss a show.
I had not thought of late snacks! I really need to lose a few more pounds. My clothes may not fit by the end of the cruise :rotfl2: I found a packing list somewhere in my reading that suggested a button extender!

Sounds like we may be the only ones with late seating. We are from the West coast - three hours time change so eating dinner at 6:00 (3:00 our time) seemed too early. I hope we arn't sorry - but I like the idea of having more time to spend doing activities before we get ready for dinner and the nights activities.
pirate: How are your pirate costumes going? We are still stuck. Went to a costume shop, but they didn't have much. I don't have much time to get it together.
We made a count down chain today. My son is so excited! (so am I!)

damiel,
I noticed you replied to a post about pirate night. The Jan. navigator I found has pirate night the 3rd night (Castaway Cay) Do you think it has changed since then? pirate:
This is why we choose brunch for Palo. I didn't want to miss a dinner with the boys either. Although they may not want to be with us.

I talked to my family about dressing up for pirate night. It seems I was out numbered and the answer was NO way. I was planing to dress up but now im unsure. We will see. pirate:

3sons,
I have a co-worker that went on the 4 day a few weeks ago, and yes pirate night is on the 3rd night. She said there was a few that dressed the part (small children) but most people just wore the bandannas provided at dinner.

As if we weren't excited enough, I got the boys the La Vida Mickey CD for Easter. (passporter recomended it for cruise type music) it is so cute!
The 3 year old and I have danced all morning. :cool1:

I may be crazy but I am dressing for pirate nite and I picked the late dinner seating! :cool1: pirate: pirate: pirate: :woohoo:

I think you'll have a blast! pirate: :bounce: There will probabaly be more grown ups and singles at late dinner. I get the impression you don't meet many strangers! :Pinkbounc
By the way we are begining our trip 5/19 so my count is less than Disneymans!! :cheer2:  We want to spend a day in Cape Canaveral before we leave. :sunny:

We are also starting our trip on 5/19, but it is all travel. 5/19 to the airport and stay the night for a 7:00 flight. 5/20 fly ALL day! We will get to port around 9:00 at night (three hour time change).
pirate: I am glad to hear someone else is dressing for pirate night. I was loosing heart and was about to change my mind. We too have late seating so there will be a few of us dressed up. pirate:
I can't believe how fast it will be here. Target had some sunscreen on clearence today, snapped it up.
