We want to go May 10-17. Anyone remember/know if BLT is ever included in the discounts or do they have no trouble filling it so it is excluded?

We are interested in BLT too, so I was researching the discounts. They were only 5% off for the spring discounts, so it's not looking great, but I'm still hoping!!

I just got my AAA newspaper thingy in the mail. Looks like they are having some kind of event in January if you book a trip with them during the month of January. Says something about getting a gift card and a free planning book. I already booked my trip and used a travel agent who is a friend of mine so I threw it away. I am still stalking the Disney website, the Disney visa site and these board waiting patiently for something. Hopefully soon

I rather have an educated TA guess than no guess at all, especially when discounts *should* be out within a week and there's no hint of what to expect.

Oh, I see. She didn't give specifics. It was just in general discussion. I asked her specifically about it only being 5% or being excluded, and she just said in her experience that hasn't been the case.

Just to clarify, she was talking specifically about BLT.

AAA is having a gift card special for WDW starting January 6th-31st. If you book a trip during this time for select dates through June then you get a $25 gift card for value and moderates and a $50 for deluxe. This is on top of any specials they might have out! Hope that helps!

Any one know if the discounts historically include prefered rooms or the royal rooms at POR? Or are the discounts typically only on standard rooms? We are staying at POR in the Royal rooms so I have my fingers crossed.

Whenever I've played around on the website checking prices with a discount I've seen the RR included. This was when I was checking for around October.

I am a Disney Visa card holder. We usually get notifications a few days prior. Nothing yet for May. Will let you know if I hear

Is the thought it will be a RO discount for May? Any chance at all of there being free dining? With a family of four "adults" and staying only value or mod, the RO deals aren't usually that great. But, for us, free dining on the other hand is fantastic! Thinking of possibly changing our August 2014 to early May, but not unless we can get a good deal!

We're in the same boat since we're taking our 2 adult boys with us. The free dining, or even the SPD, are great discounts for us, while the room only are better than nothing ....

No free dining in May. You could however get a free dining PIN if you're lucky. Never hurts to call and ask.

And, yes, a PIN would be great! Are there any coming out for beginning of May? We used one last year for end of August for free dining. Never got the e-mail or snail mail. Would never have known if I didn't call and ask. Will have to do that again now...

I've seen people getting PINs for nearly every month. Someone called asking about October and was given free dining over the phone. Magical things happen all the time.
