Now just waiting for May discounts Hoping for something Good

Good job on the Be Our Guest, we ate there this past May and LOVED IT!!!

I am in count down mode myself for ADRs, I can start making them Saturday... I am so excited!

I know it's against norm but I'm really not excited for BOG but I'm sure my kids will enjoy it. I almost didn't book it.
I'm ready for discounts now. Oh and I still need to call for BBB. I also booked the Wishes dessert party so glad they switched that to 180 days.

Other than wanting to see the inside of it, I am not excited about it either. There is nothing my DD will eat. She is just about 4 and still going through the picky eater phase. DS is autistic and has a limited menu anywhere so it just is not a good fit for my family. I am happy that they are offering a more varied children's menu though! I just wish my daughter would eat it. I am sure she will when she is a little older.

Made our ADRs and got almost everything we wanted. We had to move BOG to the end of our trip as we couldn't get an adr at the start. But hey, NOT COMPLAINING! BOG and Fireworks Dessert party on our last night. Not a bad way of saying goodbye!

Good morning! I felt like I needed to come here and share what I recently discovered. I'm not sure if this will be deleted or moved, but I feel like this needs to be known.

I posted a while back about the awesome PIN I received through WDW. I started pricing out Animal Kingdom, Wilderness Lodge, etc. I found that even with the 35% off it was still way too much for me.

Then I came across a post about renting DVC points. I looked into that and WHOA!!!!!!!! I booked a Deluxe Studio Savanna View at Animal Kingdom Villas for about $1600 less than what I would've paid for a room even with the 35% off. Not to mention it has a kitchenette with a microwave, fridge, coffee maker and toaster. It sleeps 4 with a queen bed and a pull out sofa. I know many of you will be traveling with more than 2 people so there's also 1, 2 and 3 bedroom villas with full kitchens for rent. That would be great for a family to cook in some nights/mornings. If it was more than just my DS14 and I we would've gone that route also.

I rented from a DVC rental agency and have had a great response so far. I usually use vacation rental by owner website to rent houses/villas in the Caribbean so I wasn't nervous in the least using a rental agency. I did read up on reviews and found nothing but positive reviews about this particular company. I'm not sure if I can post the name here, but if you ask me I'll do it in a different post in case it gets removed. I'd hate for this entire post of information to be removed for one name.

Even though this may not be of interest to any of you, I thought I'd share since it was such a fantastic deal for me.

Edited to add what I paid. I figured y'all may want to compare prices to make sure. I'm paying $1988 for 8 nights (May 23-31). Also, I need to add I don't own DVC points nor do I work for any rental company. I'm just a single mom who loves sharing good deals when I find them!

Can you use magic bands and fast pass + whne you book through a rental agency? Also do EMH hours apply?

Same thing happened with our BOG. A couple of days later I was checking and a ressie opened up for the first day that we wanted so I snagged it. So now I have 2 reservations. I'll probably cancel the other one. Just haven't decided yet.

Depends on what park you will be at but I liked Garden Grill at Epcot. The characters were great. I think it would be a good choice with kids that age.

Ohhhhh Chef Mckeys is a good one, especially for the kids!!

If you want to avoid another character dinner, Liberty Tree Tavern is a favorite of ours, it's like Thanksgiving dinner. YUM!

There were pin codes that included May dates but nothing offered to the general public yet.

I was able to make just one ADR this morning even though you're supposed to be able to make them 180+10 if you have a resort reservation. Don't know what I'm doing wrong. But, at least, I did notice that there are a lot of Be Our Guest reservations open so I'm sure that I'll be able to snag a table when it's time.

When i looked it only went 6 days out for me...just weird

I couldn't do it from the individual restaurant but I COULD do it from the dining reservations search where it lists out all restaurants for the date/time you select. Hope that helps.

Definitely try a computer. It was wonky when I tried to use my iPad but I had no problems when I used a computer.

Great choice. We chose that for our last full day since we are not sure which park we will be going too. We loved it there and it is my husbands favorite
