MAY 2013 - PTR....hooray!!!

Lol - matching shirts would never happen in my family -

As for craft glue, well that is not my friend - any project I have ever attempted usually ends up with my fingers stuck to each other! :(

However suitable outfits for little girls is sorta cute!

Hey! I made matching print shirts (different color shirts though) for embarkation day for me and the kids on our MR cruise :) And I'm making tie dye Mickey shirts for our next trip :) DH has promised he will wear one and one only until our room is available and then it's in the laundry bag, never to be worn again :)

It's a wild old Saturday night around here.....DS is at a party and DD is at a sleep over. So what have DH and I done while finally alone together - plan our holiday of course!! :rotfl:

Still can't decide where to stay in Las Vegas....and hubs keeps watching Youtube clips of that psycho Stratosphere roller coaster - he can enjoy himself up there, I'll be by the pool!!

We did the thing that shoots you up above the Stratosphere when we were there in 97 or 2000. That was before kids and before rides like that scared the bejeebas out of me!
Last trip hubby and the kids did the New York New York roller coaster. I stayed in the gift shop!!
We stayed at MGM last time and it was great. Any of those hotels there are a perfect location. We also upgraded to the Marquis suite which was brilliant.

My ex did the shoot you up in the air thing in 1997 (I should have slipped the attendant a $20 because he survived!). Ex and my brother also went on the NYNY roller coaster and it got stuck while they were on it - I was also shopping while this happened!

As for a hotel, who knows. We settle on one, then change our minds - I hate being so indecisive. DH will be in Vegas for 6 nights 3 weeks before we all arrive there, so I think that I should just leave it to him (but first we have to figure out where HE is going to stay)!! :confused3

In 2011 we stayed at the Bellagio and it was gorgeous, one of the nicest rooms I have ever had. This time we are trying to do things a bit cheaper (more money for shopping!) :thumbsup2

We started thinking Paris, then decided on the Mirage, then the Venetian, then MGM Grand, and are now back to the Venetian!

Gorgeous rooms, a sunken lounge area, strip views and close to the places that we want to go to - Caesars, Fashion Show Mall, Hash House A-Go-Go. Plus the rooms are bigger than the Bellagio, and all for almost $500 less than we paid last time.

I think this will be what we want - but DH will be there 3 weeks earlier than us for is conference, so he can check things out. Still no idea where he is staying!!!! :upsidedow

Hi Jess, if we're in the same city at the same time as you, prepare to run into me!! I am notorious for it - I run into people that I know EVERYWHERE!! In NYC in 2009 I ran into a customer of mine in Times Square, and in 2011 I ran into another customer and her whole family down near the Brooklyn Bridge!! :wave2:

At almost 6 feet tall, with a 6'4" husband and an almost 6'4" son (DD8 is not quite as tall yet), we are very hard to miss!! :)

Awesome :goodvibes my hubby is 6'4" as well so odds are we won't miss you :rotfl2:

Wow - we have 77 days (11 weeks today) until we leave! I remember when it was 100 days and I was freaking out then......the time is SPEEEEDING along! :)

We have decided on the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, it looks gorgeous. I also found a website called the "$20 trick". I plan on giving it a go - we arrive into Vegas at 9.55pm on a Sunday night, so if there is a spare suite with a fabulous view available - I plan on bribing our way into it!! :cool2:

I sound so confident - but in reality it will be DH who tries it - I will stand way back with everything from my fingers to my eyes crossed!!

We did this in 2009 at the Doubletree in NYC. We had flown on the "red eye" overnight from LA and we were sooooo tired. DH pushed the $20 across the counter while I stood a few steps back with the 11 and 5 year olds looking sad and tired - before we knew it we were in a fabulous room, 7 hours before check in time, with extra chocolate chip cookies - at 6.15am!! A great way to spend $20!! :goodvibes

:offtopic:

Watching the Oscars - and I'm wondering where I can pick myself up a Bradley Cooper while I'm in America....any suggestions?! ;)

Wow, while looking up things to do on my "alone day" in NYC (while my gorgeous family go to a soccer match), I have discovered the amazing "Drybar" where for $40 you get a shampoo, fabulous blow dry and a glass of champagne!! All only 1 street from our hotel!! princess:

I'm really, really, really looking forward to it - and then I plan walk around Manhattan like a crazed Wella woman....tossing my hair and throwing my head back while laughing hilariously at everything I see!! :goodvibes:goodvibes

Wow, I really hope it doesn't rain!! How did people plan things before the Internet? I really love my iPad! :flower3:

Love it :-)

We stayed at the Venetian in 2006. It is an amazing hotel. Rooms are fanstastic - it was so nice to have all the extra space for the four of us.
You'll love it!

Having a fabulous Friday night - DD8 is watching a countdown of Justin Bieber's favourite songs (it IS his birthday you know), and we have just booked the Venetian Hotel for our 3 nights in Las Vegas!! Hotel.com turned out to be about $80 cheaper than the Venetian web site, so away we went. :goodvibes

Everything is now complete and I am beyond happy, I'm also feeling a huge amount of love for my amazing hubs who lets me plan our holidays to death (and then takes me for a coffee on the day before we leave and makes me promise not to freak out if things don't go quite right)!! :flower3: He's a good one. :upsidedow

Yay Congrats on having everything complete and that is nice of hubby to do that :)

Just caught up on your last few posts, lol at the thought of you walking down fifth ave, flicking your hair!

Are you flying PE again???

40 days for us!!!!

Hahaha, I'm going to need a chiropractor to do a neck adjustment after my afternoon of hair flinging! I'll end up in WDW in a sexy neck brace! :rotfl2:

We aren't going PE this time, boooo hoooo, we were so spoiled last time! The kids and I are on Delta from Sydney to LA, and because of the "tall factor" we have upgraded to their economy comfort (I think that's what it's called). A little bit more leg room - we'll take whatever we can get!! On the way home all 4 of us will be together at the back of the plane in V Australia economy. :crowded:

In PE in 2011 I had a champs in my hand within 2 minutes of sitting down (at 10am), :hyper: this time, no champs when I sit down - but at least I'm on the plane!! :cloud9:

By the way, 40 days - it's time to get the post it notes out again Battymum!! That always makes me laugh!

Post it notes are up!! 39 days, ( we had enough this time!!!)

I am really looking forward to Japan, but gosh I wish I was going back to NYC!!!
