Dollar (City Specials) and Enterprise went down for my days 5/23 to 5/28. Early 23th, and late 28th, so it is a week.

Midsize is at about $170 now.

My Alamo rate came down this am from 527 to 517 for 5/23-6/3. We have a full size car reserved our of MCO. Now the wierd thing is you can usually cancel the existing reservation on their web site. I tried doing that but it says I need to call. For those looking for codes I used

Less than 3 weeks out and I can't find anything for less than $200 total. Got a fullsize last year for 8 days for less than $100 total, any help will be appreciated. MCO p/u on 5/4 10a.m. dropoff @ MCO on 5/11 3p.m. Still hoping for a deal.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong [as if I needed to mention that], but at the Orlando Airport, Alamo does not have a standard car aisle, you pick from the fullsize car aisle. In other words, you can book a standard and be guaranteed a fullsize. That would save you almost $10. Below is a link that confirms this.

And since Alamo created their new fancy schmantzy website, I haven't been able to cancel or modify any of my reservations online either.

Are you only wanting to use Alamo? You can get a much better rate with National for those times, by using 8572130 [KLM code that you need to sign up as a member] or a code that gmeh1 has been giving out - XZ53043, then add e-coupon ND9334SND for another $30. off for a total of $323. using 8572130 or $395. using XZ53043 for a standard/fullsize. And I see from some of your earlier posts you were renting out of Sanford and dropping at Orlando. If that is still the case it is the same rate.

Thanks riduvall. I will try them. DH does prefer Alamo but he might like the rate even better. We did change airports so now arriving and departing out of MCO.

Same thing here - tried to view my existing reservation and I can't even view it (but I do have the email copy) and it says "cannot be modified or cancelled on line - must call". I used standard AARP code and Insiders membership.

Reservation with *Insiders* = unable to view/modify reservation.

Reservation without *Insiders* = able to view/modify reservation <====

Check the AAA website if you are a member for a Hertz rental. I have been checking for months and a mini van May 22 - Jun 1 was over $900. When I checked today the price had dropped to $456. I added a $40 off coupon from the Hertz website and now have a reservation for a grand total of $415 for the 10 days.

Just wanted to second this - I tried Alamo for our dates (5/20-5/30) and the rate was over $450. I have National booked with the above codes/coupons and it is $313.

I checked AAA and got a rate of $288 with taxes for a 7 day mini van with Hertz. That included a $35 off coupon on their site.

I booked back at the first part of March and Ive noticed rates for Alamo have gone up alot. Im guessing its dictated by inventory. I used Costco ID 7014627 Coupon AD63637RM.
I also have another reservation with Dollar for the same time period and also a full size car. The rate was about $15 more. No coupon for the Dollar rate, its was just their City Special on their website. I will be canceling the Dollar reservation. We have used Alamo in the past and love them. I love bing able to check in online and walk straight out to the car (skipping counter and kiosk). I also love being able to pick what kind of car versus having it preassigned.
Best advise I can give is to check multiple times a day until you find what your looking for. We go to Disney every summer and I have never paid more than $20 a day total for full size car.

Thank you for posting this.......Alamo has been totally annoying with having to call to modify or cancel and I was ready to stop booking with them.
I will no longer use my Insiders membership for reservations.
I appreciate you passing that along.
