I just went to check to see if my rates had become any lower (using the Visa code and $30 off coupon) and saw that the rates (1st week of May) were sky high againI'm glad that I reserved already (7 days - Midsize SUV for $183.78 with taxes). Same SUV is now over $400. I've never seen this type of flucuation in rental car prices. Anybody know what's going on?

I have no idea what is going on with Alamo but I am getting frustrated. I keep checking rates and I have noticed that it would be cheaper to keep the rental car for 9 nights versus 7 nights.
Unfortunately, I will only be in FL for 7 nights. If I rent the car for 9 nights and return it early, I could potentially owe almost $100 more when I turn the car in

I'm traveling May 11th - 18th and I really hope the rates for these days start getting better soon
