May 2010, let's countdown together!

Can anyone is signed up for one of the touring sites give me projections for may 15- 23, hoping to hear nothing greater than 6's.

Sorry, but I think that's against DIS rules since you have to pay for that site to get the numbers.

You are not nuts. Most of us have almost as much fun planning as the trip itself. It is the anticipation of the trip!! It is just the waiting now. What dates are you going?? I am your neighbor here in NH. I have a sister that lives in MA. I hope you have a great trip & have as much fun as you had planning the trip!!

It is going to be a great trip, the girls will love it. I want to savor every minute.

We are in Littleton, leaving from our favorite airport Manchester on May 15 staying at Port Orleans Riverside.

My DW and I will be there May 17th until May 22nd and staying at POFQ. This will be our third time staying at POFQ and we are looking forward to seeing our friend Elliot Dyson again. :yay:

You can add me to the list. My son and I are going May 1-6, staying at POP!!! Can not wait. First trip with just me and my 3 year old.

Just booked last week.....May 16-24 at Port Orleans Riverside. It's our first time at PO and we're really looking forward to it! This trip will be me (33), DH (35) and our DD (3). Our little man (4 mos) will be staying home with the Grands this time, but plans are for us to return to the world in 2013 when the Fantasyland expansion has completed and opened. Then our kids will be 6 & 3 and a good time in store for all!;)

DD is totally into the princesses, Belle in particular, and Tink & all her fairy friends, so a good chunk of our time will be spent accordingly...Pixie Hollow, BBB, & the PSB at Akerhus. Our dining plans are still evolving. As you know, the elusive ADR can be hard to come by even 180 days out, so I've been stalking the system for a week in hopes of some better times, but really we've been pretty lucky. I got 4 of the 5 ADRs I wanted the day we booked our package and was able to get okay times. Here's what I have so far:

Chef Mickey's on 5/16 (arrival day) 9pm AND 5/17 (MK day) 7:15 am-will only keep one ADR but I'm really hoping for a 6-7, even 8pm on 5/16.

Rainforest Cafe at AK on 5/19 12:15 pm

Princess Storybook Dining at Akerhus on 5/21 9:40 am

Sci-Fi at HWS on 5/22 4:15 pm

Crystal Palace at MK on 5/23 8:40 am

The only one I didn't get was Tuskerhouse for the Safari breakfast at AK, but I may just leave that out since we ended up taking Rainforest that day instead. We have 2 days planned at MK, our first full day and our last full day, so I tried to be a little more flexible with those ADRs since I knew we'd have the extra time. DD will be at BBB at MK on 5/17 at 3:50pm...again, not ideal, but I know we'll be back a 2nd day so we can catch the afternoon parade then.

Whew, this is tiring! Hope you all have magical vacations! We are really looking forward to ours.:wizard:

Ok. My sister lives in the Fitchburg area.

It's funny. You would think living in NH we would have flown out of Manchester before but we have not yet. We like Jet Blue so we leave out of Boston. I have a friend that owns a limo service so we hire a driver to bring us to & from the airport. I do not like driving in Boston.

Enjoy POR. Our favorite is POFQ & enjoy the walk over to POR at night along the river. It is so peaceful!!

We are going to be their same dates and place!!! There are 5 of us...It is our first time at POR and am a little nervous. the only other time we stayed onsite was WL in 2007 on the CL...what a trip!!!!
Only 47 more days!!!!

Once it gets here is it a downer after all the anticipation. I was excited for a trip a few years ago, but then as we landed the excitement was gone because the anticipation was over. I know we have a great time, but worried that it won't be as exciting as the planning and anticipation. We booked our hotel over year ago, and paid for the package a couple months ago, so this has been along time coming and a lot of anticipation.

Am I nuts? Does anyone understand this or go through the same thing?

I go through ups and downs during out planning...get real excited and gung ho at first..making all our plans, deciding were to eat and what we want to do. Then you just kind of sit around and wait, and wait, and wait as the days tick by...then I go into panic mode!!! DId I remember to pack this, were r the tickets, is the plane going to be on time.....I think I am so tired once it finally gets here that it is almost a let down (almost!!) but once I see the kids get so excited about being there and seeing the parks all the fun and excitement comes back!!!

Yay! What are the odds? I hope we all like POR....I've heard it's a beautiful resort, though large, but we don't mind. We stayed at CBR back in 2001 before we had the kids. We loved it there, but really want to try another resort. Animal Kingdom Lodge is next on my list, but those deluxe prices, even though AKL is at the lowest end of deluxe, really scare me!:scared1:

Maybe we'll see you there? We can always check the dis to figure out when and where we're at.

We are there too, similar dates, May 15 - 22. Two girls who love the princesses. Planning a couple days at the poll and definitely will check out POFQ pool too.

5/14 to 5/23 - staying at Beach Club Villas for the first time

Can't wait...starting to get daily Disney obsession!! :woohoo:

MAY 10-16, our FIRST trip. My 13 year-old will be celebrating her 14th birthday on the 15th. We are SO excited.

As stated in my earlier post, we are going May 8-16 (BCVs) and will be celebrating my granddaughter's 7th birthday on the 15th at Chef Mickey's! First time eating at CM and am hoping that it will be better than some of the poor reviews it has gotten lately. Hope your daughter has a wonderful birthday and you all have a "magical" trip.

Here is another question that will probably give too much insight into my weird way of thinking. Am I learning too much about my trip? I have been picking up great information and tips here, but wonder if there will be enough surprises. I looked at a lot of pictures of the resort, maybe too many so that I will know what is around every corner.

Do I need to have a 30-day moratorium before I leave so that it is all fresh and new, even though I have not been to the World in 30 years?

Doreen, I grew up in Fitchburg.

MassFamily, we have a little princess, too!princess: She is 3 years old & while this isn't her first trip to Disney, it's the first one she'll remember. She's totally into all things princess, but her favorites right now are Belle ( and the Beauty & the Beast movie) and Tiana. She likes Tink, too. We have set aside one full day for just relaxing and hanging out. DH mentioned maybe hitting up one of the water parks, but we're kind of winging it until we see how the week unfolds. At any rate, we'll be down at the pool our fair share, so hopefully we'll run into you!

I'm getting excited......only 6 weeks to go!!!:woohoo:

NO, it will be even better and there are surprizes around every corner.

We're going for the week of May 8-15!

This is our first trip; we have 3 kids - 5, 3 and 1 years old. The 3 year old will be turning 4 on the 14th.

36 days left :cool1::cool1:
