MAY 2008 - Who else is going???

WOO HOO! Just bought our airfare tonight! :woohoo:

I love when I buy airfare because it makes the trip seem a little more "real", if that makes any sense! LOL

I also need to tweak our ADRs a little more.... :scratchin

Hi SeaSpray! May I ask what you ended up booking?
We booked our airfare in Sept.07 for May 08 on Delta BOS-MCO for $228. I thought the prices were a little high but got it anyway.
It does make it real though, doesn't it? You know you're going! :goodvibes

Our price was $239 per person, but as of right now it's the cheapest, and had the times that I wanted to fly. I always track the rates and after I booked our flights last night, the price went up $15 per person. I'm glad we're booked, that's always one of the last things we do for our trips, but it's also the one thing that could fluctuate in price from one day to the next.

We are going the 18th to 28th staying at VWL.

I see alot of people going early to mid May. One of our concerns is how busy it gets starting Friday of Memorial Day weekend. Anyone been there during that time in prior years? We are typical Jan travelers. DH Bday and getting out of the cold NJ weather. Taking nieces down and they get out of school in Indiana on 5/17, so it was mid to late May for us.

Add me to the list:yay: I just booked the CSR for 5/15-5/20, this will be my third time going for the Flower and Garden Festival, it is such a nice time of year to visit.
I just booked my flight with Southwest, $99 each way (ouch) hopefully a ding will come along.

Tinkerbell, alot of people from our area travel up there to fly out. Boston is closer for me so I haven't tried anything else. Yet.
That is a great rate though.

we are trying to plan a trip for sometime in the first 2 weeks in May. Can anyone tell me how the weather and crowds are at that time
Thanks
kris

We are going May 26 to June 1. Staying at the Contemporary Resort in the Garden Wing. We had originally booked the POR since we have five people, but everytime I looked at pictures of the rooms they seemed to grow smaller and smaller. :rotfl: :rotfl: We decided to change to the CR for a larger room which will still be a tight squeeze and the great location

I'm going with my sister who will be bringing her DD 7 and DD 17. And I'll have my DS 10. We decided to leave the husbands behind so we can really enjoy ourselves :cool1:

We will be at Shades of Green from May 21-26. We went the same time last year and the weather and crowds were great. Just booked for granddaughter at Bibbiddi Boutique yesterday for 8:55. We will be in Magic Kindom before the park actually opens for the day. I can't wait.

We are booked at All Star Movies to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary. I got airfare on JetBlue at $178.80 per person RT, the same fare is now $218 RT from EWR to MCO. Our dates are May 24th to May 29th.

My fellow May goers! I just booked our airline and Disney package last night!!!! I'm so excited! :cheer2: We are definately going May 10th through the 16th at POFQ.

This is our first family vacation to WDW!!! :yay: I'm super excited!!!! I know you can't tell.

Now it's time to start the itinerary, so I can make ADR's for our Mother's Day brunch. I think we'll do the Princess meal in Epcot, since we'll be there that day. It's a good plan, because I love Epcot and the kids might not be too thrilled, so it's the best of both worlds. It'll keep us all entertained.
I also need ADR's for Chef Mickey's. I'm still deciding on breakfast or dinner on that one.

Have fun planning!

We'll be at the :lovestruc Polynesian :lovestruc from May 15th thru the 20th to celebrate DS's 10th B-day :goodvibes

COME ON MAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I CANT HANDLE THIS ANYMORE!!!!! I wanna be in WDW...

Hey do they do anything special for mothers day???

We were there at that time a few years ago...I wouldn't sweat it. It was definitely busier around Memorial Day wknd, but definitely doable with a plan. Just take your time, plan your parks, take advantage of EMH if you are onsite, and get a list of your "must-do"s for the day...of course use the fast passes... Also noticed you said you are there from the 18th-28th so it looks like you have lots of time...definitely an advantage over having to squeeze everything in a few days.

Have fun!

Hi everyone, been lurking for awhile, but thought I would share my excitement...I just booked for May 3rd-May 8 at POP! After that we are heading down to Treasure Island for a few days:woohoo:

We are joining all of you in May! We will be at Beach Club Villas May 6 - May 10. We live in Florida - so have been to Disney many, many times - but this will be our first time staying onsite. So we are very excited. Plus we will be there for our 9th wedding anniversary and it will be the first time at Disney for our 18 month old daughter. May is a great time to be in Florida - weather wise! Enjoy!!

I'll be there in late May:yay: I'm sooo excited since I haven't been to Disney since I was a kid and now I'm bringing my own child!

I'll be there from the 5th -9th staying at SOG. first trip with the kids so i'm sooo excited
