We'll be down May 22-31 in 2008. It's a surprise trip for DS after his first year of school. We've stayed at BWV, SSR and are staying in a few weeks at OKW. It'll be me, DH and DS (5). Where should we try? I'm leaning to AK or WL- which woudl you suggest? Or maybe even BC for the slides? Too many choices!! We will be getting a studio and I'll start calling day by day on October 22nd, so I'm hoping anywhere will be rather easy to get in. I already have ressies at SSR just in case. Thanks in advance!

Good luck!! Hopefully Memorial Day Weekend will not cause you too much difficulty. I start calling next week for my late April trip and I'm excited because I don't know where I'm going to stay. Just going to see what's available and take it from there. (I'm going to start with BWV or BCV and see).

We were able to get a studio at BCV for April 29-May4, 2007...calling on 11/16/06 (a little over 5 months out). We didn't call day by day, just one call. As noted above, Memorial Day could be an issue.

If you DS is a good swimmer and likes to climb stairs, he'll love the slide at BCV. We have a pool, and DD5-going-on-25 swims like a fish. She loved the slide at BCV, but got tired of climbing the stairs. She could do the slide at OKW for days on end.

I don't think you have any bad choices.

My family will be at BWV 2 bdrm. bw view April 19-25th. I think there was another OP recently who was only able to get a studio for late April. I did ressie day-by-day at 11 mos. Good luck, get a bw view if you can!:wizard:

oh decisions, decisions! Ds is not the best swimmer, so BC may not be the best choice. We loved BWV when we went the first time. I think I may try there first if we can get a BW view. Then, maybe WL or AK- what do you guys think between those two? TIA

If you're going to the MK primarily, I would chose the VWL. You can also easily take the boat over to FW for the evening campfire program. I would also pick VWL because I'm a groupie, and we're bringing our whole family there next month, for our second all family stay there.

DH and I just had a great stay at AKV...the animals are great to watch right from the balcony and around the common grounds, it's a nice pool and there's a nice slide there too. My DDiL is concerned about our little ones and balconies, so we don't intend to take our DGC to AKV until they are definitely old enough to realize that you don't climb over the baloncy to get to the animals. If you don't have that concern, then really, either one is great with VWL having a slight edge for my recommendation. I think the food choices are more limited at AKV.
