I truly enjoyed your trip report- thanks so much for posting it!
Between your report and the few others I've read recently- I really need to make a list of things to do that we didn't do on our recent trip!

For one: mental note... (should write it down though- maybe I'll remember LOL) my daughter is ALL about dolphins (eldest daughter 12yrs) and was totally bummed about no dolphin excursions at Cozumel on this trip (and we already had things planned for Costa Maya)--- I need to remember to look for them when at the port before going on the cruise! You're not the first person to mention that dolphins were sighted before even leaving. We were totally not looking for dolphins when we were about to leave or leaving... stupid stupid stupid. We'll know better next time. The rest of the trip I spent many hours looking for something- anything. All I ever saw was one flying fish in the waves near the ship (from us moving thru the water) off deck 4. Never saw anything else... LOL

I'm curious- you said the beeper went off as you walked down the pier after getting off the ship. I wonder how far those beepers work? How would they reach you if you were further than that? Just curious... next trip we may not do every port together as a family, especially if we're doing the same ports of call as our last cruise!

I agree that it's probably best to beep you no matter what- and just tell the child not to beep unless it's important (especially if you're going to be doing something that you can't run there right away and get them all worried about where you are/etc.) but that sure didn't work with our kids. arghhh I swear we spent the majority of our cruise running back and forth to the lab, club or anywhere else they were at the time (with 3 kids it was a lot of back and forth- even taking turns DH and I LOL) Next time they'll be a little older and not only will the older two be allowed (by us) to check themselves in and out but we're going to make a rule with the youngest- you call us to get you out you're staying out by gosh. None of this back and forth business. It's our vacation too... you're either with us or not... you have no idea how much time we spent just picking up or taking kids to club/lab/wherever their age group was at the time. Totally ridiculous of us to spend that much time. Shoulda made the "rule" on the last cruise. LOL

Now I'm off to see your pictures- I'm sure are great! Thanks for sharing your trip with us with this report.

As for the beeper, they dont guarentee they will work too far onshore, but I know another couple who got beeped by the Shipwreck Historium in Key West and it was fine. So, DH and I were actually sprinting away from the ship in the hopes that we would be far enough!

Well Sherrie. I hope you and Lilo have a ton of fun. She and her DH are awesome. I wish we could join you on that trip. My DH works in Norwalk, not far from you I guess.
