Speaking of drinking events, if we signed up for one,
do we receive notification of it or do we need to keep track of when and where?
Thank you for planning and organizing these for us!:goodvibes

All,

There are up to 7 slots open for a group brunch in the Palo private dining room. If you weren't able to pre-book a brunch, this is your chance to book! If you are interested, PM me with your names and reservation number or email me at jlspence@hiwaay.net. :thumbsup2

On previous cruises were we had private tastings they put tickets with the times and locations behind our fish once they had charged or onboard account for them.

There are two good reasons why to do this first thing in the morning right there. Hopefully it will not be too hot and humid and I may actually get the chance to take some photos.

Yes, good move to go there straight away with us docking so early. On the regular Magic Western Caribbean cruises back then the Magic arrived late morning I think so already hot, and we left later too, so saw sunset, which in Sept/Oct would be earlier. Plus once I think they gave the crew some late time off for getting good marks in one of the inspections so we didn't leave till midnight or later. We have had that happen a few times and I like that they do that for the crew. I guess some passengers like the chance for some late night off ship revellry too actually.

The large ships can't dock there now which is a shame. Or couldn't, not sure if any extensions to the dock have been made since they came into operation or not.

We are leaving tomorrow!:) I'm about 30% packed!:scared1:

I will PM participants in the CE this evening with the room numbers of everyone that I have. Only 2 more rooms to learn about!:thumbsup2

As a mom who is bringing her three kids ages 10, 12, and 14, you can be assured that there will be plenty of children in those ages on this ship. If you go to the Facebook page for this cruise, you will meet many of them, take a look at the webpage for this cruise and you can click on the fish extender list and see how many are very active with 10 to 14-year-olds. My daughter Rachel will be thrilled to have so many other girls near her age on board, she suffers greatly because she has brothers on both sides of her! You will also see those same children working on homework throughout the cruise, my kids are at a wonderful public school and although the teachers understandably aren't thrilled with the timeframe, they're also very supportive of the rich educational experience the kids will get in a nontraditional way. As a teacher, I know what a pain it is to prepare so much homework in advance though!!

My girls are homeschooled so they'll have their work to do but it will be different. What are the links to the Facebook page and the one with the fish extender?

It is a very long walk to the Southernmost point if it is very hot and humid! The walk back is even longer:scared1:. You just have to do it though I guess. At least we have done it now and don't need to do it again, though getting a good photo was an art as there were so many people there waiting to dart in and take theirs. Plus some people want to take quite a few with different people in them and different poses.:confused3 I was getting hotter by the minute. Mind we were there in September so a much more humid month.

Can you tell me what there is to see at the southern most point? Why is it so special?
I have been to the most southern point in the US, on the Big Island in Hawaii. One of the most interesting spots I've been to in Hawaii.

Everything you need should be in the first post of this discussion. :)

Just in case they don't, I'll have the final lists from DCL with me at the Meetup on Friday so everyone can verify they're where they are supposed to be. I believe our times are finalized but I was waiting on a final OK from them after all the rooms were assigned. There is a note on the forms I got saying that guests won't be notified or invited for private tastings, but we'll see.

I love Peter Noone! I've seen him in person, probably 45 years ago!!! Yikes!

Enjoy WDW and the concert and we look forward to finally meeting you in 10 days!

A question for my fellow pin traders. Did anyone either go to or knows someone who went to tonight's event at the ESPN complex. If so can you ask or do you have a extra Elsa pin to trade? If so let me know and we can work it out before we leave next Wednesday for Ft. Lauderdale. Thanks. Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

We were lucky to see the group at another Flower Power Concert a few years ago. I especially like going to Epcot's Flower & Garden show.

Looking forward to meeting you in person! We are practically next door neighbors on this cruise!

We leave this afternoon for the airport hotel and fly tomorrow, Thursday. I am packed but I think about 110% as I am sure we are overweight.:confused3 Must do better next time. The weight problem is only a problem on our flights fro San Diego at the end of the cruise so hopefully some of the weight will go down a bit(toiletries, sun cream, gifts). Just my weight that will go up.:rotfl:

Safe travels to those leaving before I check in again. We will be at BWV for 5 nights and Miami for 3.

I saw them about 45 years ago too. We will be there next week but sadly my 24 year old thought I was crazy when I mentioned the concert to her.
