May 2, 2014 - A WONDERous trip through the Locks WBPC

You know The funny thing is I have to check my bags with the porters anyway because I will be on the free Alamo shuttle. So really the docs mean zero to me cause I did online check in and I already have my print out ready to go. Oh well to each their own.

I agree that having the Docs is not important but it means the cruise is getting closer.pirate:

Thank you so much Diane. We are really excited for the events we signed up for Darren is planning to also do a whiskey tasting if they offer one this sailing.

I'm waiting for DCL to finalized/confirm but it still looks like May 10 in Diversions for the open bar event.

All of the Tastings are currently tentative in the Cadillac Lounge.
:yay:
You're very welcome, it's given me something to concentrate on to make the time go slightly faster. Now I'm not sure what I'll do, guess I'll have to start packing. :hyper:

Hi All:cool1:

Ok Guys and Gals who needs a hug here!:love1: Really? Its Disney, come on,:goodvibes get with the program. I know there is a smile in there some where;). I too am looking forward to relaxing with my better half on the cruise but, I am also looking forward to meeting new and good people. :rainbow: I am curreently listening to Rush live on vinyl and loving every minute of it:rockband:. So guys, just remember that life is so fleeting you must grab every minute that you can and enjoy it to the fullest extent :dance3:. In answer to an earlier question you are allowed 1 liter of alcohol per 21 yo adult duty free when you re-enter the USA. We have routinely brought back more than allowed but, have paid very little in tax or the man has let us go without paying anything at all :scared1:. It kind of depends on the mood of the person doing you that morning of declaration.:hyper: Have a great day every one.:firefight

Keep a close eye on the Navigators. The night this happened the activities were listed as "boys Chill in the Club" and "Girls Chill in the Lab" There was no mention of makeovers in the description.

The night we went to Palo, they had done very elaborate face painting in the Club. I arrived to pick my kids up after dinner to discover they had both chosen to be painted up in FULL face paint as tigers. I worked really hard at getting all that face paint off before they went to bed. Well, it was late. And it turns out that the martinis at Palo are deceptively strong. And this is why mid-way through breakfast the next day I finally figured out why my kids kind of looked like Oompa Loompas - they had a distinctive orange glow from all the leftover 'tiger' paint. :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: That's fantastic! thanks for the tip!

I am with you. We are looking forward to this mostly for our time together, but also meeting new people. We want to meet those of you we will be going on the EBTA next year with. We plan on booking while on board.pirate:

Ooooh, are they offering the 20% discount for them?

We are also looking forward to meeting everyone.:goodvibes

I'm booked on the East Bound TransAtlantic, if they're giving a 20% discount on board, I'll be reshopping that cruise. However, a little more than a week after the cruise opened for booking we've already got more and 160 members on the facebook group.

Hi everyone! Sorry, haven't been on here in awhile. Just got back from a week of awesome skiing (for the boys/DH)/snowboarding (for me/my cousins who met us there) in Tahoe!

Super, super excited for this cruise. Total bucket list for me.

I booked three different cruises for Europe 2015 on opening day. Will reshop of course with OBB. Hoping to get a good deal, but I think it's better to have both options. Can't wait to see what they have to offer!

We have(apart from our first 4 nighter where we parked the car, always gone in a car rental shuttle. We drop the bags off at the kerb and a porter comes for them. Now if they don't have tags on then don't you have to wait till they fill them out and tag your bags? Have things changed? I was just meaning in a lighthearted way that that is time(however short) I would rather be moving on into the terminal.

:confused3:confused3 What is this about? Have I missed something. This group seems to be a fun group.

No nothing had changed. Just last year the Alamo shuttle dropped us off at around 10:30. The terminal was not open yet. They opened closer to 11. So again if a porter had to fill out the tags no real time lost. Now as to those who say it makes the cruise feel closer I can trump that. It's called a calendar. I look at my calendar everyday to see what's in it. Very hard not to notice that I leave home for Fl in 25 days. Sent from my iPhone 5 using DISBoards

Hi All:cool1:
Very cool to see the docs come in even though as noted like others I also have completed the online check in some time ago.:thumbsup2 Good to see you made it back safe and sound twopeasonepod.:woohoo: I went to the farmers market today in Dallas and I hate the city drivers as I think they are all rude and crazy :furious:. I can't even imagine how you (aan1701) survive around the LA area at all with the rating it gets :drive::scared1:.Oh well, the DW made brisket today and it is calling to me now so to all have a great day and of course carry on.:firefight

Driving here is easy. Now I remember the drive last year from Ft. Lauderdale to Miami. Thank goodness my dad is from NYC. Those driving instincts kicked in on that drive.

I can't wait to get our cruise documents:banana::banana:

We've received lots through the years, but if it is a special cruise, like this one is, it makes it more of a reality. :cool1:

Fingers crossed we will get ours tomorrow! :goodvibes

First time posting for this cruise. Will be our 3rd Disney Cruise and longest cruise ever! We are in So Cal and received our cruise docs today. Can't wait to be on the Wonder again!

Welcome aboard! I thought we had received them today, but, alas, it was JUNK MAIL:sad:.

This is our longest cruise ever also. We have done a 14 nighter though. But this is our first PC.

And we can't wait to be on the Wonder again either! Last time (and only time) was Christmas 2005.

See you in less than 4 weeks!:cool1:

Ah, thanks Alan. I remember turning up at 10.30 before and waiting outside. I guess leaving it till 11am would be better for us then this time as I can't stand long these days. Well a bit before to give time for the luggage tags debacle.

We used a 'dummy' cruise to book the 2015 EBTA on opening day! There's already a disboard thread and FB page. We sailed with quite a few of the folks in 2013.

Cheers, JenDen:moped:
