Just booked our first DCL trip.
We have cruised once before but need lots of info for our DCL trip. Have stayed at WDW many times (DVC members) but this is so different. I am sooooo anal when I plan our trips that I need lots of input. We will be at WDW before our cruise which I have no problem planning. Thnking everyone for their input.

Welcome, the 2 blogs I posted about a couple of posts ago should help. One also has the navigators for the last Western cruise. The DIS has some great information. The castaway club site I mentioned above is a site like the DIS but much smaller and has some good info too. The all ears net blog was good too. I have been also looking up each port on the net for more information. I am new to this thread also. I am assuming if you ask a question someone will try to help you.

Yes, you can book Palo, excursions and spa. DCL keeps some Palo ressies for folks when they get on the ship. The DCL site list all the excursions they have and how much they are.

WOOHOOO!!!!! Welcome 4everluvDisney!!!!! You are in the same boat as a few of us as far as it being your first cruise, but no worries, everyone here will try to help you out with whatever you need.

You say you haven't cruised before, do you know what your stateroom is? Who is in your party, if you let us know we can post the particulars on the list.

Yes, remember though that you have to wait til 75 days out before you can do that. So you still have just a little more than a week before doing it. Zerog has been keeping track of the days for us, he will let us know as the countdown comes closer.

Hi and welcome! You've come to the right place. We can't always answer everyone's questions, but usually we can point you to the right source.

There are a few options for booking Palo and shore excursions.

1) Purchase the Romantic Escape at Sea (REAS) package and you can reserve immediately. You will have to pay for the cruise in full.

2) Castaway Club Members - can reserve 90 days prior to sail date. Castaway Club members are those who have sailed DCL at least once before.

3) Everyone else - can reserve 75 days prior, which is coming up in 10 days.

I'd like to warn you that a lot of slots have been filled by (1) and (2) above, so try to get in as soon as possible to choose what fits your schedule the best.

Buy a CLEAR plastic over-the-door shoe holder ($4 to $10). These things are invaluable as there is very little counter space.

I believe it is 12:01, perhaps someone that has done it already could let us know. For you that is easier, you don't have to stay up til midnight!!

If you are first time cruiser, you can book your excursions, Palo, etc online starting at 12:01am on the 16th. I'd recommend as things do fill up fast.

Wife and I are sailing, celebrating bday.

Plans for 2 May:
Palo Brunch: Mon Day3 at 10:30a
Palo Dinner: Thur Day6 at 6:30p (bday)
Key West: our own thing
Gr Cayman: Seven Mile Beach
Cozumel: Mex Cooking and Playa Mia
Castaway: 10am Personal watercraft (double)

Hope I can help/particpate. On Canal cruise we did (and still have) Fish Extender. Still have our Personal Navigator for last Fall's Western Carr Cruise.
