OK, I got a little ahead of myself...

DaveH-Thank you for the info regarding the DVC greet, we had not idea they did that on the cruise!

For everyone who posted a pic- You all have beautiful families, and thanks for sharing! If I get a chance, I'll see if Don can show me how to scan and do whatever, even though the only pic we would have readily available wouldn't look to much like us, unless we jump in the pool before the meet and greet!:lmao:

It's hard to believe it's all most time for the cruise!!!:cheer2:

FE update:
since at least a few of us have pmed Linds but with no response, I've taken her off the list, so all you Fish-Extenders only need to buy for 10 cabins (or 21 adults, 11 children and 1 baby, depending on how you decide to buy). Ashlotte and I will figure out how to divide the cabins and post the final list so that everyone knows which day they're responsible for. Please remember to pm Ashlotte or me immediately if you have any allergies that people need to be aware of.

Boy - I am away from the computer for a few days and I have pages and pages to read to keep up! Great work on hitting 100!:thumbsup2

OK, I am still confused about the FE distribution. :confused3 I know that I can ask PinkElephants when we talk this weekend, but figure that if I'm confused, maybe someone else is too! ;)

Does each person buy one gift for each person participating, or does each cabin buy one gift for each person person participating? There are three people in my cabin, my DBF, her DD and me. Do we buy a total of 21 adult, 11 kid and 1 baby gifts, or do we buy 62 adult, 33 kid & 3 baby gifts?

Also, my friend Liz (DCL 1 year ago) suggested going to the carnival supply/party supply store to get things in bulk.

My understanding about FEs is that the choice is up to you. You could either buy one gift for the cabin or individual gifts for each person. And giving works the same way. You can give as a cabin or as individuals. The idea is not to break the bank but just to give all the participants a fun surprise for each day of the cruise.

Laura, you've probably read the most about FEs of any of us. Do you think that's right? Ashlotte, do you agree?

Yeah, you pretty much have it. Us for example, will be putting a few things in each FE, for sure something for each child and then for adults it is more like a few things that can be shared, but for sure we will put something in each pocket. Wouldn't want anyone to feel left out :)

Can we have an updated list though please? I am wanting to finish my stuff on Tuesday!!

...... but for sure we will put something in each pocket.

I wouldn't recommend doing that at our door, Laura. Our FE has 3 pockets, but we're only 2 people. It has our names at the top rather than a pocket for each of us. We participated in the FE on our other cruise and it was more of a free-for-all. There were no assignments as to who made distributions on what day. We each got a list and that was it. Some people didn't have anything but a single bag hanging on their fish and we just dumped whatever we were giving in the bag. Now that I scored a cute new FE from eBay for us, I realize that what I made to give out is not going to fit in the pockets if you all have this kind! Now what do I do??!! :confused3

We will all have a list, so we will know how many people in each cabin, so no worries about me putting something in for someone that doesn't exist. Pink and Ashlotte are going to make a schedule so it isn't a free-for-all...that should make it better. :thumbsup2

As for not fitting.....hmmm...ya got me there! Other than perhaps putting it in a bag and hanging it from the door etc., or knocking on the door and hoping someone is there....hmmmm...not sure? Perhaps someone else has an idea?

Anybody planning on booking on board for next year?

If so, when?

We will probably look at the 5 day Double Dip for June time frame (after school is out)......We will take both of our DS's this time. pirate:

Here are a couple of pics of the terminal.

Hello, I just found out about these DisBoards, boy do I have a lot of reading to do. We are traveling with you all on the May 2nd cruise. This will be our first Disney Cruise; however, we are avid Disney World fans. We just moved from Florida. We are so excited about the cruise coming up. I have enjoyed reading the posts, but after nearly 50+ pages, I had to skip around. I have a question about the Oceaneers Club. My daughter is 4 but still has problems with potty time (sometimes). What if we send her to the Club and she has an accident? I know kids get so excited in there with the characters and all that I am afraid she may have an accident. I read somewhere that they kick the kids out and don't let them back for x amount of time. Can anyone confirm if they've ever run into this? Seems a bit harsh to me. 3 weeks to go...can't wait!!

jfahome-Welcome to the Magical Mayniacs!!:cheer2:
Unfortunately, I can't help with your question, but if you check the main board someone most likely has addressed this (tons of info!). On the other hand, many of the people who belong to this thread have a wealth of knowledge, and they will certainly do their best to help you.:)
This is our family's first cruise, too and we can't wait!!

As for presents, I plan on bringing one item for each cabin, rather than one item for each person - a bit easier on our packing - but I think it's up to the individual cabin/person what you'd like to do. Have fun! :goodvibes

Anybody planning on booking on board for next year?
Unfortunately not. I think DH would withdraw my charging privileges if I did. :lmao:

Besides, we're thinking about adding on at AKV in another year. Can't do everything.

We're kinda holding out for Alaska, but you never know! I like the idea of a cruise to de-stress after tax season and then our annual holiday visit to WDW right after Thanksgiving.

Now I'd like to ask......is anyone else interested in doing the Martini Tasting, Margherita Tasting, Beer Tasting or the Wine Tasting? I believe they're all on sea days, so there's no conflict with excursions. I did the Martini Tasting before and am thinking about doing it again, or maybe trying something new. It was lots of fun, but DH isn't into any of them and I'd love a buddy or three!

I'd love to do a beer tasting (okay, that sounds so Canadian of me, lol), mostly because the good wine store in Calgary does lots of wine and other spirit tasting but never a beer tasting. I'd like to know more about what makes up all the different kinds of beer on the market.

I need to find out when it is, though, and what my mates are doing that day before I commit.

I am game for all of the tastings! Buddy up!!:banana:

I/we will probably be interested in the Martini, Margarita and Beer Tasting.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 I am actually quite experienced in the Wine department(have taken many classes and tastings) and have some wonderful cellared wine....but for some reason that just doesn't appeal to me on board. I guess if DH wanted to do it, he could twist my arm
