Question to the group - If I am a DVC member but did NOT use points for the cruise, will I still get all the extras that the cruise line puts in your room? Guess I should probably make sure my member number os somewhere on the reservation?

The first time we cruised without using points, we didn't seem to get the DVC gifts. So I mentioned it at the DVC desk. They took down our stateroom number and the gifts started appearing. Since then, they always seem to know we're DVC members, even though we aren't using our points.

I just went and found the old lanyards. I can only bring three pouches as DH has his old KTTW cards saved in his, but I have put the other three with my stuff I'm bringing and will bring them to the meet and greet.

K wait, are you talking about those (for us, Silver) lanyard thingies? I have a bunch. The boys have no interest in them so they are just sitting there never been used. If you want, I can bring ours. We should have at least four.

just see any DVC rep and mention your cabin number - they will add you to the distribution list - or take something DVC and put it on your door!

John and I were assigned a HA room from GTY. When I called DCL to inquire, I was told if I wanted to cancel and rebook the room, I could but if not, this is my room assignment. We did not ask for or need a HA room.

ditto, we just received our room assignment & as inside guaranteed so just received notice 2 weeks before we cruise, not much we can do about it so we are sticking with our assignment ttxx

My Mom and I wanted to verify what we are signed up for:

-PJ breakfast- 19th
-Mixology Class- 20th
-Cabin Tour- 24th?
-Till We Meet Again Luncheon

Am I missing anything?

we are still waing to hear about the chocolate tasting. Did sign up online as instructed but haven't heard by email or disboard and FB. Just wondering if this is still to be confirmed?
Also, tickets for CG & the tastings arranged privately, are tickets left in our rooms just like the other tastings? Thanks as only every done Disney organised tastings TTxx

The two proposed chocolate dates have been confirmed and I updated calendar on post one several days ago. Beverly sent out an email for everyone to double check groups again so maybe check your spam mail?

It was either here or on FB but i can't find it anymore...

And yes the hard tickets will be placed in stateroom (or in an envelope in fish outside room) by CMs once inboard the ship for the private tastings. If the date approaches and you still have no ticket then contact guest services and also make note of Beverly's extension. On iPad now but look on page one the post that has almost all the alcohol tastings for more details

Mandy, I won't need a pouch, I think I signed up saying I did. It sounds like you have enough but I definitely have a couple of spares I can bring; if you are sorted and have enough I won't bring them as I seem to have a load to bring

And as I will be there at 14:45 (?) to hand out shirts and hoodies etc I can help if you still need it handing out other stuff.

- WVURunner (Emily and mom) has offered to man one station
- Lysand (Lynn) has offered to man one station
- uowemeasmile (Missy) has offered to man one station
- I need 1 more person to man the other three stations - please respond if you will help us out! Preferably folks that aren't having to follow young children around (or let your significant other chase the kiddos!!)

Just check at the DVC desk to make sure they have your room number down. If they put a DVC logo magnet on your door then DVC has you set and you will get your goodies and be invited to the DVC party.

There was two on Hawaii too. On longer cruises the DVC party is usually day 1 ( some times 2 parties dividing the group into 2 ) and then some time during the 2nd week there is another DVC get together, plus they have contests during the cruise for pins and DVC stuff.


Speaking of parties, On the 2 longer cruises I have taken, the Castaway Cay party was on deck 9 as there were so many repeat cruisers.

Yes - looks like your ziploc will have a pouch in it. I have rubber banded and boxed up, so when you receive it, just give it back to the folks distributing your group please

Just in case you saw the original post 12 hours ago.... it is now updated showing the volunteers (THANK YOU!) and DIS names of the groups they will be handing out. These are all bagged, double-bagged for their group, and in the box to go!

If volunteers can show up at 2:45 at Promenade Lounge that will be awesome. Also, Paul will be handing out hoodies/shirts at that time to those who ordered previously.

Okay - I am going through the list and printouts to stuff baggies - many baggies already stuffed. The nametags Beverly DISigned and printed look FANTABULOUS!!! Will go ahead and post now to hope any questions will help be clarified so embarkation Meet-and-Greet distribution is smooth -- just laying out my thought process but it should be super smooth when it goes into action:


- I need 4 stations to hand out baggies (volunteers filled!). Each one will have about 15ish.
--- Three will be alphabetized by DIS name (if it was provided on form) and grouped (such as A-H, I - .... etc) to however works out most equal. If a group in same cabin and more than one DIS name, I will place under name that was the most active on that (recognizable from following boards).
--- The fourth group will be the nametags submitted without a DIS name. (Such as a DIS name and GTY for room.... and I can't tell if that person belongs with another person... so the ones I am unsure of will be placed in that group since no DIS name provided)
- Each baggie contains two (2) of each name submitted. This is so they can be places as front/back in your plastic badge holder for when the nametag flips around it can be read from either side. A couple folks submitted twice so they have extras of their name in their baggie.
- I am human and it is possible I made a mistake stuffing baggies last night, so please go with the flow


VOLUNTEERS to hand out:
- WVURunner (Emily and mom), Lysand (Lynn), uowemeasmile (Missy), Kim (GoofyNewfie), Andrea (MissAndrea), Sara (SaraCat), and Bobbi (Bobbiwoz) have offered to man stations
- Please arrive by 2:45 Promenade Lounge to receive your materials to hand out The planned start time is 3:00.
- I will float between groups. Anyone who has offered to bring extra lanyards or pouches please look for me. I will be wearing a white tshirt with my avatar on the back and my name in a Mickey Head on the front. Those bringing extra plastic pouches - many thanks! I had to purchase in bulk of 50... and we were right there at that number so I kept it there to not purchase another 50.


- Most people submitted in early March up until the April 20 cutoff date. I will have copies of what was submitted at the four stations for any questions since most of us probably forgot what we submitted for. The list is in order of submission date (not alphabetized)
- Each station will have their "Letters" of DIS Name on paper printed large, and DIS names at bottom of paper (these are coming in a large gallon-size ziploc baggie full of normal sandwich size baggies)
- one person from each group will go to the station of their letter (or non DIS name station) to retrieve baggie at Promenade Lounge at 3:00 meet and greet on embarkation day (will help keep lines to a minimum and the rest of your group can be off mingling in the meet-and-greet)
- I decided to quit stuffing nametags in pouches just in case there is an error -- it was a snug fit and if someone doesn't need their pouch then they can just remove it from the plastic baggie as opposed to having to dig their nametag out (any perforated lines left around your nametag, just fold and tear them off)

- Some groups would have one name listed needing a pouch, and another name listed as not needing a pouch, so I am including pouches according to what was submitted electronically. If for some reason you end up receiving a plastic pouch that you no longer need, please return it immediately in case someone else needs it.

- I am trying to research the best I can so this is as seamless as possible. If you happen to get a name in your baggie that is not part of your group, return it immediately please. (Imperative we check baggies upon receiving them).
--- No, there will not be a laptop and printer to print extras or corrections
--- Please no complaining as folks have volunteered lots of time and their own money to help this for everyone Complainers will walk the plank.


Questions I am pretty sure of but not absolutely sure:
- Snowhite7 - Loretta *and* Tom? (Tom had no DIS name but was submitted 48 seconds later - so hoping you two are the same - both gty - in same baggie now )
- Padalyn and Halloween_Grl will be one baggie under Padalyn
- PrincessMonkey and DrDaveScience will be one baggie under PrincessMonkey
- EBW and Spark21 will be in one baggie under EBW
- Yvet and Emiel will be in one baggie under Yvet
- Dee -- think I figured DeeSlack based on room number submitted so will be under that DIS name (no DIS name was given so I hope this is correct)
- Several are GTY with no DIS name (so each in it's own baggie in case single travelers) such as:

--- Rick (gty, no DIS name)
