We've only ever done two cruises in our lives. Both were on the Wonder going to the MR and we loved her! I am curious about Remy and the Aquaduck, but honestly, the new boats don't look very interesting to me. But we wanted a 7-night and it was decently priced. DH has work full year, but there are two times that he's busier than usual, early May and late August/early September. And now the girls are getting older, so taking them out is an issue.

Anyway, all that blabbing to say that we might just like the smaller boats, but I am also curious about the Fantasy, if we can afford her and the timing works. her mid-summer fares are pretty outrageous, but we'd pay those fares for Alakska as we wouldn't have to fly there.

THanks for looking at your other site for me!

Alaska would be stunning. And to be fair, all I read is that people prefer the classic ships!

you might be a bit bored then as it wason Aurora, which as you know is smaller so less going off. TBH it was fairly port intensive (8 days out from 12 days/13 nights) that we actually enjoyed the downtime, but we are a bit older than you so probably needed it more lol!

Lol, we probably would like the downtime then as well! Is Aurora the adults only ship? Have you done a Disney cruise before? If you have, would you say there is a lot more going on then on a P&O cruise? I think we would prefer Princess and NCL as they seem to have more then just bars as we found to be the case on Azura. However, saying that, the staff were amazing, what entertainment there was, was fantastic and the food was beautiful!! So we would go with P&O again. Also, we would always go for the port choices over the choice of ship.

If you had asked me that 7 months ago I would have said we would be looking at either the Barcelona-Venice repos or one of the cruises out of Venice, but 7 months ago I met my wonderful girlfriend who doesn't like boats of any kind so this is likely to be my last cruise. I wouldn't swap her for the world though. :cloud9: I wanted to do one of the Venice cruises this year but they were just too expensive and I haven't even looked at prices for next year. :)

Thanks. :)

Aww how lovely. Is she a Disney fan ;)

The Med cruises are very expensive. I think we would rather go for another line. Saying that, I haven't been on a Disney cruise yet :)

Not yet but I'm getting her there ;)

Yeah they are. We did the Baltic purely because it was the first time Disney had been to Europe and I would have my birthday on board. We did the Norwegian fjords with Princess though and that was just as good as Disney so I wouldn't mind going with another line, although I do love the Disney ships. :)

Aurora is a family ship but we had hardly any kids due to ports and time (early May). We have done a Disney cruise before, but it was 1998 so don't think we can fairly compare as I remember not being that impressed with our first ever cruise (in fact only did that one and then the Royal Clipper mast sailing ship until 2011!!). Since then, we have become addicted to cruising and will be cruising Azura, DCL then Princess (Ruby) and Fred Olsen Balmoral this year with hopefully Cunard in Dec and then we can truly compare ships and lines lol!! I love P & O for dressing up and the food mainly!

A lovely year planned then. I would love to do Cunard's QM from Southampton to NY just to sail into NY. I did love the dressing up on P&O, I understand it's one of the stricter lines? I hope I haven't put you off Azura, I'm so sorry :(

I love the look of those Royal Clipper ships as well.

We did the Alaskan last year and I would do it again if there weren't so many other places we wanted to go. We thoroughly enjoyed it and our stay in Seattle/Vancouver afterwards.

I was wondering if anyone can help me regarding Disney Air. We moved our reservation but still intend to go on this cruise. There is a chance we may move and wanted to keep our options open until we heard. We STILL haven't heard but can't price out air until our reservation is moved back. Does anyone know if the flights with Disney Air are full yet? I am confused as to how this all works and plan on calling tomorrow when I can talk without my little girl being around. She has been out for Mardi Gras and she still doesn't know about it.

Where are you coming from? I can't find any Disney Air from the west coast, but perhaps a TA can find it.

Isn't that funny, I hear the same things from most cruisers that have done all 4. I still want to do the Fantasy but have no desire to book the Dream over the other 3.

I just saw that you're in LA. I priced it out with air from New Orleans and it shows as being $1358 per person for air.

I tried to price it out from IAH (Huston) and it said flights weren't available. I also looked and they now have flights available from our airport (I tried to price it out again recently and it wasn't avaialbe, I guess it comes and goes), anyway, it was almost $300 more per person than when we booked!

From Barcelona to Houston? I think I was quoted 816 when I first asked so I am hoping for that, if not we will def do Paris after because it will cost as much to fly home after a few days in Barcelona then to do Paris too. Thanks for the help. I called today but evidently have to move my reservation back and inquire about air to do so. So complicated.

That's my guess. You said that you're driving to Galveston, so I did it as if I were someone just sailing from there, so you need a flight home. $816 sounds very reasonable!

Just seen we're onto the new thread - hooray!!

I've noticed I'm the only singleton on the palo brunch I've signed up to, so please can everyone else that day talk to me! Have never done palo before precisely because I'm on my own, so now slightly paranoid!

Today I've started on my fish extender gifts which has really got me excited about the cruise.

Wednesday I am DEFINITELY starting my diet - I need to get pancake day out of the way tomorrow, then thats it! :thumbsup2

Which one are you signed up for? the 20th or 22nd? I am going to the brunch on my own, too, on the 22nd-- there are lots of women going on that one :cool1:-- feel sorry for the menfolk! :lmao:

Yes, very reasonable, I just needed to know if it was still available! Thanks!
