Interesting. Our friend, who took us to the Aulani for lunch, is a local.

We visit the islands as often as we can. We were there in February, and will return in March.

I think the location is the main drawback, although I obviously get that the price of the land is why it is there and not in Kahala or Kailua, for example (which would be much, much nicer). We really don't ever go out there -- it's far, nothing else out there, and it's the "not so nice" part of the island.

You should try House Without a Key, Ola, or Haleiwa Joe's for lunch! Or of course, Duke's or Hau Tree Lanai.

We did not stay at Aulani. Just went there to see the property, experience the ambience, and have lunch.

On another visit, we stayed a week at Kailua. Lovely.

I'm not gonna lie, I am not sure what you mean when you ask if the 3100 is a full frame, so I have no clue. Can you rent lenes? That might be a cool idea to one of each for the trip and see if he likes any other them and if he does, maybe I will have a x-mas gift for him! How much do they run?

Renting lenses is quite popular now. For our last cruise, we rented 2 lenses, that if we had bought, would have cost us £2000. We rented them for 7 days for £120 It is a really good way to get a feel for a lens as if you buy one for hundreds and don't like it, you will get a good resale value but not all of your money back.

Have I had my head stuck in the sand re CC excursions? I think I was stressing too much about getting Palo reservations lol.

I want to do the scenic boat, the snorkelling and the jet ski's! Has anybody any experience on any of these?

I did it!

Checked in online and secured Palo brunch for the day after Castaway Cay and Palo dinner for the 6th sea day! I know they are quite close but with the pirate night and the second formal night later on that week, I think I've planned it well.

Thanks so much again Binkytell for the help with the Palo times, that was amazing of you!

Also booked the Unforgettable Madeira excursion.

And now Captain Mickey has welcomed me onboard his ship virtually, I am going to switch off my Mickey lamp and try to get an hours sleep before getting up to head out to work.

When can we expect to receive the final FE list? Or is there anything I can see now on our website? I'm just starting to think about children's gifts and would like to get an idea of gender, ages and interests if we did ask for that?

It is on post #3 of this thread. I think nothing is final yet, pending the decision to break the whole group into subgroups or not. It's not that big right now (at least not for me ), but I think it might get split due to luggage restrictions and such.

I had some questions about the linked dining. I know there was some discussion on FB about people wanting to switch tables and such during the course of the cruise. For my family we loved having the same table and server throughout the whole cruise, also my daughter who is six loved it too, because the server got know what she liked and her drink was always waiting there for her with her favorite fruit, we loved that personalization from the servers. For my danger she is shy and takes a little bit to get to know people and having new people at the table every few days would not work for us. So, I was wondering if there was any other family out there who has a daughter around the same age who would want to stay at the same table with us, but still linked with everyone else so we can at least sit in the same area as all you great people? By the way we are late dining. Please let me know and hopefully we can work it out! Thanks!!

Cut off date is in April but not many new people signing up since PIF or discounts come out so next week I'm on annual leave so I will message everyone then with there group. At the moment it's 4 groups of 13 cabins. I do have lots of requests not to display children's names so it will stay private
