May 18, 2013 Magic EBTA Part Two - From Tejas to España

If it doesn't offend anyone, can I go ahead and remove "Scrap Booking" and "Palo Group Dinner" from our first page of activities? We never got an event coordinator for Scrap Booking, so I assume no interest. Palo Group Dinner event sponsor withdrew in February and I don't think there has been any interest expressed. I didn't want to remove them and then get in trouble for stepping on toes -- but am starting to try to work on the DIS Personal Navigator.

Also - if Event Coordinators can have your final tidbits of info on your posts, or if you want to include a final list of names (maybe just first names or DISboard names for privacy purposes - no cabin numbers), that would be FANTABULOUS! :) If you can update your post by May 4 I will start really hammering away the Personal Navigator on May 5 so that it is uploaded as a PDF file by May 16. Thank you so very much!! :thumbsup2
I think you should remove them :thumbsup2

Thank you again Mandy and all the other organizers! :flower3:

I am sorry for your loss. What a nice way to honor her!

I think you were the one with the friend that was waitlisted for addtional days in Barcelona along with me. Has she heard anything? I have called but they still know nothing. I might just do deviation for additional.

I knew this trip would be here before we knew it. We have so much going on this time of year that I feel like I won't get everything done. If anyone pmed me and did not get thru, my box was full. Gotta go clean it out now.
Things have been crazy the last week. I have for several months had written down when things need to get done so nothing is forgotten. My grandma who has been ill for a long time has passed away. The best time for everyone to gather from across the US is May 11..... HELP I should be packing that day not traveling. So now we are squeezing in a trip to LA that weekend. My calender is now a mess, I use paper hate the phone for this. Scribbles and cross out's everywhere in hopes to fit everything in. On the blessing side we will be spending Friday the 10th at Disneyland in honor of her. She lives about a 5 min. drive from the park and as kids we would always visit the parks with her. It sure is now sounding almost like an air, land and sea cruise.

Sadly this is why I didn't do linked in. I just didn't want to chance something happening to any plans we had made.
Yesterday I checked our information on the Disney cruise site. It was unsettling to see someone else's port excursions, Palo reservations, etc. on our reservation. I called Disney and learned that, because we have linked dining, we can now see the details of reservations that are linked to ours for dining only.

I completely understand. I know that it was a concern of mine and I do appreciate you doing all that you have!
I'm sorry to hear you find this unsettling but the possibility of this
happening Was posted on both

the 1st page of this thread and the website.

I can send a email asking for you to be removed just let me know??

Things like this have definately put me off heading up activities/events again.

Belle2011 and Kimlovescruising tried to pm me but my box was full. Please resend or post on FB. Thanks

So far I have only 1 extra ticket for the princess tea and 4 that want them. Please let me know if you will have an extra. Thanks.

Question: Do you need more than one 5B? We are happy to let Skymom in on the fun and take our stateroom out if that is best.

At this point, I'm keeping all on the list; not sure who will actually show up that morning, despite the best of intentions. I'm having a difficult time figuring out all the DISnames/Facebook names and their cabin numbers:rotfl: THanks for letting me know, though!

I would be ever so grateful, since this is my first time peering into cabins, if someone who has previously led the Stateroom Walk on another cruise would give me some guidance on this....

ME! I am a stickler for the time - You can give me a call anytime on board for a time check! :)

...and I will, Stephen! Last spring we didn't "get the memo" that there was a time change ALL DAY (yup, we apparently ate lunch and dinner at bizarre times) :rotfl2: and managed to show up at Animator's Palette a few minutes after 9PM, wondering where in the h*** all our tablemates were for the 8PM seating. Our servers were gracious and scrounged around for a suitable meal when they saw our watches were still just past 8 on the dial...:upsidedow

Regardless, we are bringing our shirts, including hubby's 1970s shirt our oldest daughter will wear again. :lovestruc I'll put it on the first page of activities because I know some will still want to participate. It was so cool in 2011 seeing sooooooo many shirts! We were cheap - made our's with the iron-on - but still worked fine :)

YAY YAY YAY! I am glad we still have slated a Mouseketeers-shirt-wearing-night :mickeyjum I bought my shirt from Old Navy (thanks whoever tipped us on that one!) and it's in the "packing pile".

I say if we have no coordinator than it will not happen and needs to be taken off.

I got a couple more dates and times here for you

Photowalk
22nd Sunset walk, Meet at 7pm - Deck 10 aft behind Palo on the Outlook(this will be with a almost full moon, rising as the sun sets)
27th Sunset walk, meet 9pm - Deck 10 aft behind Palo
Feel free to include my name and stateroom number incase someone want to get hold of me for any reason.

I got an e-mail from Cruise Critic today, and one of the items was an article called, Cruise Ship Diet Busters…and What to Eat Instead. I thought it might interest many of you:

http://www.cruisecritic.com/articles.cfm?ID=1500&et_cid=646179&et_rid=16737090

I should NOT have read this article. I'm feel absolutely starved and frothing at the corners of my mouth.. Good thing I got some Thin Mint girlscout cookies in my desk drawer here at work (now to try not kill the entire box in the next 15 minutes ;) )

I bought one too and now can't find it :headache::scratchin I'm sure I put it up so I wouldn't forget where it was  I'm terrible at doing stuff like that. I'm notorious for finding hidden Christmas presents around June :rolleyes1

I'll be searching high and low for those shirts this weekend, I had completely forgotten about them, I'm glad this was brought up. Otherwise we would have gotten on the cruise and seen everyone wearing theirs and ours would be tucked away somewhere safe at home.

:rotfl2:LOL Just after posting, I thought, "where in the heck is that?" because it was NOT in my pile... finally found it folded in my jammies drawer????:clown:

Page One updates made. I hate doing the edits in the html and wish it would let me put a clean line break between dates! Our calendar has grown! :thumbsup2 So thankful folks were open to the idea of spreading out the different DIS activities like everyone has done! :flower3:

I'm going through closets this weekend too!! Heather - I do the same thing - buy things when they are on sale or clearance, hide them somewhere "safe", and then find them after the event has passed or the girls have outgrown them. :rotfl2:

I've been good about the Girl Scout Thin Mints. I have 2 boxes left. Hidden. And I *do* know where they are but have told myself to save them for *after* the cruise!!!

My husband bought over 10 boxes from my niece and I told him that I didn't want to see them and he did hide some in the house (and some in his office) and I haven't found them yet. But I am super proud because I havent really been looking for them either.

So my niece (who LOVES birthdays) just informed me that the day we board the ship is also her half birthday and that she is getting the Mickey cruise as her half birthday present. And she also asked to blow out Uncle Michael's birthday candles. So it looks like we will be celebrating a half birthday on May 18th!

My sister also tried to get her to watch the movies Cars and was informed "Mommy, I don't like race car movies, I only like princess movies"

I really liked Cars!

LOL glad to hear we are not the only ones hiding things and forgetting about them until to late..

I got 10 boxes in my desk drawer and another 4 boxes in the freezer at home ;) (I had 10.5 boxes this morning..... :rolleyes1)

Cheers... Thanks for doing the updates. I think I'm done so no more updates on my behalf ;)

I recently bought a whole case from a girl in my DD's Karate class and my DW bought numerous boxes to for me ;)
Think they must be laced with something because once I open a box I have a hard time stop eating them.. LOL
