May 18, 2008 4-day Wonder--Anyone going?

I called Disney Cruise Line a few days ago, and they said this new movie will be playing on our cruise. If you want to know all the other movies, just call the toll free DCL number and ask to speak to a live person. I know Enchanted was on the list, and I believe some others were Game Plan, College Road Trip, and Ratatouille. I hope the info I was told is correct.

We were hoping for one of the High School Musical movies on the Dumbotron.

Wow....we leave 2 weeks from today!!! Arriving at WDW May 14th. Got our documents Monday!

So who wants to meet up for a drink the 1st night?

Hey, did I mention the incredible upgrade we got??? Cat 12 to Cat 9!!! With the HUGE porthole! I haven't told ds, who really wanted a window and we told him we didn't have one. But I told him that mayyybeee if he's really, really good at WDW that Mickey might try and get him a room with a window.

So who's as excited as I am??

Btw...I've decided it's best to pack light! I'd rather shop at the Disney stores then shop here! I'm gonna see all these cool Disney shirts, etc., so I'm not packing too much. Just a tip!

We will be at CSR two weeks from today! We are getting excited but overwhelmed with all the stuff that remains to be done to get ready for our trip. We'll be at the Dolphin for a couple of days after the cruise.

We're at Pop the night of May 14th and also the night after we get back from the cruise. I still can't believe the awesome upgrade to the Swan for the rest of our time at WDW!

Feeling just a tad overwhelmed wanting to make sure my itinerary is complete (yeah, it's not done!!), but I've got the basics down on which park and which day.

I keep telling myself I'm packing light coz I know I'll be buying lots of Disney clothes while there!

My DH, my 4 year DS and myself have just booked this cruise. (our youngest is staying with grandparents) We are super excited to be able to do this cruise. We have sailed on the wonder 4 times prior. We did the 7 night Magic Double dip in May of 06. It was a last minute booking since my husband was not sure if he could take the time off.

Counting down the days!

I've had the craziest couple of weeks and haven't been on the DISboards hardly at all!

Wow, in 9 days we'll be aboard and, for us, we leave for the WDW in just 5 days!

I will be graduating on Monday! I found a big smiley face with a graduation cap at the party store that I'm attaching with magnets and putting it on the outside of our door on the ship.

I'll be lucky if I'm packing 2 days before this trip. I have family coming in town tomorrow for graduation and today will be spent cleaning and revising my resume to apply for a summer camp counselor before we leave. The fact that I'm a born procrastinator doesn't help either!

Thursday: High 93
Friday: High 92
Saturday High 98

Is it typically that hot at this time of year? I heard mid-80's when I was booking this back in January.

URGENT: FIRES IN BREVARD COUNTY - I-95 Closed!!

About 200 homes are being evacuated in Cocoa near State Road 524, which is closed. Interstate 95 is closed from mile marker 173 south to mile marker 156 because of heavy smoke and fire danger in Malabar.

Today it is very breezy in central Florida. That, combined with the dry conditions, have led to some recent brush fires. You can see thick smoke from the port.

For those traveling on I-95 or the Beachline, watch the news carefully for road closures which may affect your route to the port.

MELBOURNE — A day after the Space Coast came within a degree of tying the record temperature, forecasters are warning of continued dry conditions.

“It looks dry for the next seven days with no chance of significant rain for the foreseeable future,” said Tony Cristaldi, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.

A fire weather watch likely will be issued for Monday afternoon as humidity drops to critically low levels, he said.

Today, the forecast called for a 20 percent chance of isolated showers and possible lightning after 2 p.m.

That increases the possibility of brush fires in Brevard County.

LOL...your and my husband sound exactly alike in that department! Mine's been doing the same thing!

I was panicking because I didn't realize that kids couldn't wear shorts and T-shirts to dinner. So I just spent $102 at Kohl's!! Ugh! My son has grown like a weed and practically had nothing in the "dress casual" department

I'm trying to relax, too, knowing that before we know it we'll be at WDW! I can't believe it's only 3 days until we wake up and GO!

I don't know if it's normal or not. I'm just hoping we don't end up with major sunburns just from the WDW part alone! Guess we'll be lathering on the sunscreen!
