DF37 - Gettin' exciting isn't it !!!

We have just a little over 2 weeks before we get to WDW we're staying there for 9 nights before our cruise and I'm soooo NOT ready - I need to get a move on

Any excursion ideas yet? Or are the plans to remain on the ship to experience every moment of true "Wonder" (until Castaway Cay, of course)?

Getting more and more excited by the minute!

I went to Target and did a bunch of shopping this weekend. Couldn't find the lanyards to keep the KTW card in. Anybody seen them anywhere?

Someone said they can be found at Walmart. I haven't looked yet.
I'm interested in knowing where they can be found too!

Can someone say 27 more days???!!!!! woohoo!!!

The lanyards are available at Walmart in the wallet section - I believe that they cost around $1 a piece.

We are on this cruise too. It will be me, DH, DD (23 months) and DM.

I was just wondering are we going to try to all meet or anything? I sure don't want to miss it if we are!

I can't plan to meet - DH would have a coronary if I planned to meet anyone from the internet! I can go here for informational purposes only!

However....if I happen to see any lime green ribbons, I certainly would have to acknowledge them!

We did a meet on the January 4th Western - it was very nice and casual. A group of us staying at the Radisson the evening prior met at a small wedding of a fellow Dis-er held at the hotel. Onboard we met after the mandatory drill and before the Sailaway Party. It's nice to put a face with a name and to bump into one another during the cruise. I'm up for it if anyone else is interested.
And by the way, welcome to Univfire and family. Although I live in FL now, I'm from Colorado - nice to see fellow Westerners on board. Have you cruised before?

luvstiggertoo: My husband was the same way when I told hime we were meeting people on our last Carnival cruise but he actually got into it at the end!

I looked today and it seems like our cruise is booked up !! A FULL SHIP! I was sort of hoping it wouldn't be but well, the more the merrier I guess.

(BTW, although I'm from Canada, there is no SARS in my area. Please don't leave me out!

How did you find out the ship was full? Can you find out any specifics...ie, # and ages of children on board?
I'm hoping there will be plenty for my kids to get together with.

I've been checking www.travelocity.com and putting in the sail date. Today nothing came up so I checked www.disneycruise.com and that sailing isn't listed either so I assume that it's full.
I don't think there really is any way of finding out about the number of kids etc.

Has anyone booked any shore excursions? We're planning on Atlantis on our own and nothing in Freeport. We booked the banana boat for my husband and I (at different times unfortunately, just in case DD doesn't want to stay in the clubs).

We are also planning on doing Atlantis on our own.
We are going to get a room so that we can use the slides, etc. But we are going to wait until it gets a little closer to book so we can make sure we will have good weather. Don't mind spending the $$ for a room if we will have good weather, but don't want to spend it if its going to be nasty.
OF course, we hope for beautiful weather the whole trip!

We also want to do the Banana boat, but haven't booked it yet.

Hi everyone and hello again Univfire welcome to the May 18 thread !!

Well last night I got to do my fashion show for DBF to see what outfits I should take for the cruise - this is so he can ensure that i do not over pack - like I usually do...........but it's OK we're gonna go shopping at Florida Mall whilst we're in Orlando just in case I change my mind over any outfits So I'm starting to get a little more organised.

I will have my lime green ribbon with me - perhaps it would be a good idea to meet at the Sail Away Party if someone who has been before can suggest a place we can congregate. That way we will know who each other is to say hi to if we bump into them again on the trip.

We're not going to do excursions - when we go to Nassau we're gonna do some shopping in the morning and then head over to Atlantis by taxi in the afternoon to do a spot of gambling We think we're gonna stay on the boat for Freeport and then have our Beach Day obviously at Castaway Cay.

So it all seems to be coming together - I'm still excited

I think we'll also be staying on the boat at Freeport.
After a day at Atlantis, we'll need to rest up before the big beach day at CC.

I don't have a counter, so I have to now say this on all my posts!!!

Got my cruise docks today and can't wait to get home from work to read through them! I was afraid as many ppl complain on the Boards that if you book using DVC points you get your cruise docs late. Luckily, I have had no problems with DVC and am actually very pleased with their service.

DCL here I come!

My biggest concern is being allowed on the boat! Although I live over an hour from Toronto and we are flying out of Buffalo (thereby avoiding Toronto) I am concerned that all Canadians are going to be lumped with the WHO travel advisory in the minds of people. (For example, from what I've read Australia placing in quarantine people arriving from Canada. Canada is a big country. Calgary is 3000 miles from Toronto...should they be quarantined??).

Anyway, I hope I see you all on the ship!

Still no cruise docs for us. We used Liberty Travel. Does it make a difference who you booked through? Anyway, Thank you to all who post here as I have been lurking and reading for months in preparation for this trip. Myself, DW, DD(5.5), DD(4), DS(1.5) and my Mother-in-law, Father-in-law and Sister-in-law (pardon me not knowing the the abbreviations) are looking forward to the cruise.
