~~~ May 16, 2009 ~~~ Western Magic ~~~
I have linked reservations of my DD and SIL, who are in one room, and my DD, DS, and DSGF in another room, and us in the third room. It was done by way of the TA. I was told this will put us together at dinner.
Mati--just thought I'd also share with you that in GC, the boys wanted to go back to the ship after lunch to go swimming, and Justin wanted to shop a little (Harley shop, etc.). As the boys & I were on the tender boat, I got this sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach that he was going to miss the last tender boat or have something happen that he wouldn't make it back on, so it's not just being separated from the kids that worried me--it was being away from him, too!! :worried: Of course, in the end, all was okay, but it's so different knowing that neither one of us had our cell phones to be able to contact each other.
I totally get that. I will be worried sick that not only is DH not with me but he will be 60-80 ft under water. Last time we cruised he got certified to dive and went on 2 dives on his own. I was pregnant and just nervous on top of being sick and tired. He enjoyed it so much I told him he could go once but I could maybe convince him to not go at all -- just hate to keep that from him. He will go with DCL no matter how much more expensive. At least then I know he will get on the ship in time!!!
I put a post in the main fourm and some one said 35 days out is when they start to assign room numbers, they also said that they could change untill you check in at the port. so I am guessing thats correct? I dont know?:surfweb:
I just found it on my last cruise thread...it was 26 days out.
I know it's been talked about but I can't find the time this week to pull all the info together! Pirate night, formal night, etc. I sailed Western last year but my stuff from last year is packed up and I can't get to it! With just switching cruises, I haven't researched when to book Palo!
Thanks!
Kym
My son, who is a senior in college this year, has a website of photos of lots of things. There is one category titled "Family". You can see some pics of us, well none of me I don't think...haha.
There are also some from England here
Wow! Great pics. You have a beautiful family.
Wine Gums -- my kids LOVE those. My MIL will be bringing us some from Finland in March. They are much much better than the licorice type of candy my DH loves -- YUCK! Hmm....maybe that is a good FE gift! :rotfl:
okay confusion hits me again:confused:
Someone please sort me out, please. What days are brunch held and what days is the tea held?
I just can't seem to figure it out.
TIA
Greetings from New Jersey!
My family and I will be joining all of you on this adventure. This includes my DD (6), my mother, my niece (19), and myself. My husband won't cruise with us - he's afraid of rogue waves and pirates. I told him the only pirates that will be on board is all of us but he still wouldn't do it. That's okay, he gets to babysit the dog.
My mother and I have done 2 Disney cruises before - the 3 day and the 4 day (1998 and 2002), but this will be our first 7 day and the first cruise ever for my niece and DD. Well, I was pregnant with my daughter on my last cruise (but I didn't know it) so I guess she was technically there.
I'm interested in making a family t-shirt for us. Any ideas?
Has anyone checked the shuttle schedule recently? It looks like the May 15th launch has been rescheduled? Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. :confused3
Looks like the Space Shuttle has been rescheduled.
The 29th mission to the International Space Station will deliver the Kibo Japanese Experiment Module Exposed Facility (JEM EF), Kibo Japanese Experiment Logistics Module - Exposed Section (ELM-ES) and Spacelab Pallet - Deployable 2 (SLP-D2).
Launch time is provisionally set for 7:05 pm EDT from launch pad LC-39A. Rescheduled from May 15, 2009, assuming Atlantis lifts off on May 12
That's what I thought! :sad2:
Welcome to tsarina13!!!! :banana:
We have a DD who is 7 so the girls will be in the club together. She is getting to know Jalen as a pen pal (another boy on this board -- cute as can be) and is LOVING (and I mean LOVING) getting and writing emails back and forth so if that is somethign you are interested in PM me.
OHHH Man -- that is SUCH a bummer about the shuttle! I was changing our plans for it!
We still changed our flights to come in on Thursday night. We are not able to join the DIS group at the Radisson. The Four Points was FREE (with starwood points) and it was hard to resist. I think we will cab it to the Port from there. I don't think they have a shuttle or at least not a free one.
We are also staying two nights after we get off of the boat. I started reading about all of the "depression" of getting off the boat so thought I would surprise the kids with a mini-trip to Disney. :woohoo: We are staying at the Swan (again -- can't resist those free nights!).
I have to say -- Val -- you are simply awesome for maintaining that first page. :worship: I read through it this morning and was just amazed at how much you have captured! For the record, I am 38. DH's name is Yoni (well actually spelled Joni but prounounced Yoni and he goes by that here in the States for obvious reasons). He is 34 but turns 35 on the 21st of May (Thursday night I believe). I have found pics of us but need to figure out how to post them. Once I do, will get them to you.
I am even more excited now that we booked rooms!!!! Woo Hoo! We will keep the Disney after a surprise for the kiddos but woo hoo to that too!!!!! Is it time to go yet? No? Thank God, still need to lose more weight :rotfl:
Ok, as usual, should be working and on this board so back to my meetings....
