so 105 total....

I am buying a pirate kite making kit - not fe related) but it includes a dozen - I need 2 of the 12, would love to give the rest to anyone who wants them.....just let me know and I can drop them at your cabins....figured we can do on CC day - as they have a kite class on the ship.

My little ones would love a kite. Thanks!

Ok, so, Sonya is there with Tony, living it up at WDW and it got me to thinking, who is leaving NEXT?

So, let us know when you are leaving. I would love to have a sort of "countdown" as I track my friends leaving for WDW.

We leave Austin on the 14th so still a ways away.

Have a good week everyone!

We are leaving Houston on the 13th at 3:30pm to be exact:banana: We are suprising the kids since we are leaving a day early. We are going to pick Marissa up from school and she will think that were just going home but we will have the truck packed and ready to go. We've talked about the cruise for so long that I don't think Adrien actually thinks were going anywhere. Every few days he will ask if were going on our disney cruise tomorrow.

I just checked into our hotel online...we are leaving on the 13th in the morning and will arrive around 4:00 p.m.- I am trying to get packed but there is just too much stuff with the formal night, semi formal, pirate, etc. And the FE stuff....wow!

I'm glad Kai is doing better but I'm sorry you may be getting it. That always happens with the parents :)

As of right now the plan is that Rob, the boys, me, Amanda, Jason, Kevin, and Melissa are leaving after work on the 14th. Carole Ann and Bob are leaving the 9th.

So my 8 year old just lost another tooth so it seem that the tooth fairy will be coming tonight. :)

ok Mati - 2 kites - you are still 6568? we are on 6 too....

noodlesmom...I have you for 2 but do you have a cabin #?

Yup, still in 6568. We may look into upgrading at the port but am thinking it is highly unlikely. Thanks V!!!!

Ladies - Should I bring stockings/pantyhose for my dresses? Will it just be too cool to go around without pantyhose in cocktail dresses? I am wearing open toed dress shoes and typically never wear stockings with open toeshoes, but if my legs are going to be freezing:eek:

What will you be doing? My dresses are not maxi but cocktail length.

I am truely amazed by all the pre-packers. I am trying really hard not to "overpack", but I belong to overpacker anonymous and have not yet been reformed to learn how pack for multi layer for me or DD7.

Thanks,
Laura

Laura - I'll be going bare legged for every evening. I didn't think about it being too cold. I just assumed that I'd have to worry about sweating not about being cold (well except for in the theater which I hear is arctic).

Val - I agree with the others, how in the word can you stay on the eliptical for 2 hours. I do 30 minutes and I'm watching the clock the entire time.

Mati - I hope you aren't coming down with Strep, to be sick at a conference is miserable. You've got my cell # if you do come down with something and need something, just call. I can be down there in about an hour.

Our flight takes off at 6:00am on Saturday the 9th so it looks like we tie with Carole and Bob.

Lynsey -- I meant to start coordinating the times for the tastings but didn't start. Sorry, this weekend got away from me. Kathy -- do you still have the times from the past navigator? I can post and start keeping track.

Mati ~ Here are the times from the latest navigator that I have:

Tequila & Margarita - Monday 2 - 2:30, Thursday 2 - 2:45 @ Diversions
Martini - Monday 3 - 3:45 @ Diversions
Beer - Monday 4 -4:30, Thursday 4 - 4:45 @ Diversions
Wine - Monday 1 @ Sessions

It's odd that the length of time for the tequila/margarita and beer tastings are longer on Thursday???? ~Kathy

Robin -- I have been losing the same weight as last year too. I am guessing the fat just loved me so much, it came running back! No seriously, after having my thyroid out last September I went extremely hypothyroid and packed on 15 pounds fast (like I needed any more extra). I have lost them back but feel like I am running on a hamster wheel with my weight. Oh well...I still have a year and a half before my goal!

Well now I'm impressed. My weight goes up in a flash and it doesn't like to come off (my fat is really quite fond of me too, it seems :P), but afaik there isn't anything really wrong. I guess it could just be the ton of meds I was on from my teens to early twenties. A lot of things never seemed to go back to how they were. You however have a heck of a reason for a constant uphill battle. I think it's great that you're keeping going, even with the setbacks. I sure get that hamster wheel thing! It's so frustrating.

I started setting up my "packing room" today a little and dragged the luggage into it. Boy were the cats giving me dirty looks! I did a bunch of cleaning around here and a ton of wash so I can start folding & gathering. Friday I will pick up our cleaning & alterations and pay the staggering bill for it. I realized I need a couple more things like pantyhose, but that isn't a big deal and I'm waiting for a couple of things to arrive here as well. I am happy to feel like I have something of a handle on things, now. Tomorrow I have part 2 of the dentist. I may be in pain for another week or so now, but at least I'll be getting it over with and can hopefully forget about it by sail day.

This stupid flu has apparently made it to Central Fl. Even if it hadn't, I'm going to be running around WDW for two days with tons of people. Where there are tons of people there are a gazillion little buggies of all kinds and it's sounding like even signs of a regular bad cold could keep a person from being allowed to get on the ship right now because of all of this. If it wasn't a special occasion for my father, I'd probably just happily hang out near home until cruise day. I can't even take cold meds.

Btw, it's probably kinda obvious but we're driving over to the port that morning. First hitting Build-A-Bear Workshop to make this years "Birthday Bear" and then over east to the port. :) I'm debating about lingering a day over there after though. Particularly if the hotel let's us leave our car there all week. Haven't been there in ages.

Ladies - Should I bring stockings/pantyhose for my dresses?

Laura: I'm bringing a few dresses to wear to dinner. I'll be wearing sandals with them and no pantyhose. I just can't tolerate pantyhose in heat or humidity, so I'm going white-legged. LOL!

Mati: Sorry to hear Kai is sick. Hope he is recovering quickly!

Joel just came in to show me that he has a rash all over his back :confused3
I'm guessing it's just allergies, so I've given him a Benadryl and sent him back to bed. Keeping my fingers crossed that we won't have to go to the Dr. and sit in the waiting room with sickies and germies.

V: I'm sure Joel would love a kite, too! You are so sweet to share! We're in 7558.

I you have any left my kids would love to have 2. I am new to this thread.... wow so much info!! Thanks Rm 1058

Just had to say....

We move to our new thread home 4 days ago...and we are on page 15!!! Goodness! With now less than 2 weeks, I wonder what we'll be at then...

At lunch today with friends, I literally almost fainted from excitement for the cruise. I can't believe it's so soon!! I can't wait!!
(And yes, I grabbed Chad's arm, shook him and bounced up & down from pure joy)

We are leaving for WDW this Friday!!

We'll be at the Boardwalk Villa's from 5/9-/15 and we'll spend the Friday night before the cruise at the Doubletree Ocean Suites in Melbourne. We "Hotwired" a room there for 40ish a night so we don't mind the extra miles into port. We're just gonna do laundry anyway. lol.

BTW, here's our pic finally so don't forget to say hi!!

Well, Crystal, let me tell ya...my 2+ hr workout is definitely not as strenuous as it should be. I'm always on the computer so I'm focused on that instead of how hard I'm pushing myself! At least the time flies by without me even knowing it! :thumbsup2 If I use the ipod, read, or watch TV, it seems to DRAAAAAAAAAG on forever, but the computer make it all possible. :yay:

Belinda--you're making me drool with the popcorn flavors! popcorn:: BTW, I sell Mary Kay! I've used it for 16 years but just started selling it a year ago. I'm IN LOVE with all the anti-aging stuff! :thumbsup2 I've started using so much more of it now that I know more about it's benefits (and can definitely see it, too!).

We're leaving the afternoon/evening of the 14th and will fly out at 6 AM :scared1: on the 15th.

Alison--Justin & I were just talking about how we need to bring the tooth fairy pillows and "supplies," just in case!

Laura--I don't think I'll bring any hose either.

Lauren7&Chris4-- :welcome: to the group!! I'll add you to post #4. Feel free to share any other info/pix!

Chasity--GREAT PIC!! :thumbsup2 I'll put it with your info on #3!!

I had a good but also maybe a bad day. On the good note, I got all our dinner clothes picked out, arranged, coordinated, and pix taken! :thumbsup2 Whew! What a relief! Now I need to do the daytime clothes. :scared: On the bad note, I think I'm getting sick. :sad2: I woke up with a sore throat and that kinda funny feeling before sinusitis actually kicks in, so I've been gargling with salt water, taking throat lozenges, using the neti pot, and using Zicam. Hopefully this combination will keep it at bay so it doesn't get any worse.

Morning all! Heading to Santa Clara (via San Jose) this morning so wanted to pop in before I am out of pocket. I have no idea what the next 3 days will be like. I will either have plenty of time to be on the board or none so just in case -- have a fabulous week!

Welcome to the new family -- Lauren7&Chris4 :yay::yay:. Is it possible that you have a 7 year old daughter and a 4 year old son? If so -- SO DO I!!! Woo Hoo! Sabrina would love another playmate on the ship. There are a few other young girls on here already and I know it will be a great group.

Chasity -- LOVE the picture. Thanks for sharing!

So, if you leave on the 8th, then are you the next to leave? I think so. Jane and Carole leave on the 9th. Kim -- don't you leave on the 9th too?

OMG -- it is so so close! How am I going to stand it being so far from home when I have all this packing to do? :confused3

Ok, better run. Talk to you all soon and wish me "healthy travels!".

P.S. Val -- Emergen-C -- it is great. I am cranking that from now until the cruise just in case and my throat is feeling better today!

Laura--someone (Dave, maybe?) had posted a link a couple weeks ago to a military travel site that showed exactly which room were available yet. I'll go back and see if I can find it, unless Dave wants to post it again for us! (Of course, I didn't add it to my favorites.) :sad2: Oh, and I changed your dining to early on post #4!

Here it is http://www.militarycruisedeals.com/

The last time I checked all they were showing was CAT 5 and CAT 4 rooms as far as specific rooms all other CATs were GTY so they are still trying to fill our cruise.

Dave

Val: The Carnival change was also for their May 2 Western. My point was that if Carnival could change to an Eastern on short notice, why couldn't Disney? As for our cruise and my parents' May 16 cruise, we don't know. Carnival's plans only go to May 11 for now.

I think it is because Carnival and RC are so much bigger they have the contracts in place and more leverage with the ports to make these short notice changes.
