May 16, 2004 / 4 Day Wonder

We got upgraded to the Roy Disney Suite, that must be why our documents are not here yet. Yeah.. That's It Right:p

Lynda- If Cash needs a babysitter I am sure my daughters will be first in line!

Scott- Maybe they are trying to figure out a way to squeeze my group in the suite with you

Yes, I was at Mousefest with Tracy. (fluttertracy)

We've gone to the cutter races for 20 years. About 5-7 years ago, we started doing a snowmobile trip one day, too. We go with Kathy Clay from Jackson Hole Snowmobile Tours. She's awesome! If we couldn't get her, we'd go with someone else, but she's the best!

I'm kind of glad Nicole didn't decide she wanted to do a cruise until the last minute! I'm getting more excited about seeing her reactions to things than going myself!

Am I right that the 4 night cruise doesn't have a formal or semi formal night? We still dress up for dinner, but I want to make sure we aren't too casual!

Thanks for the welcome, everyone! Kelli

Kelli, you are correct…no formal or semi-formal night for the 4-night cruise. Triton's would be the dressiest of them. I will be wearing dress pants and a dress shirt/tie to Triton's. The rest of the nights are nice pants and polo’s for me.

I'll keep that in mind although I can't imagine how I would get around without him...We are sort of joined at the hip.....
He may need some company on Castaway cay, though, if I can't get him to go snorkeling with me...He's never seen the ocean before and may be a real pill...If I need to park him for a bit I may need a couple of doggie-smart babysitters for him...

Hi Kelli! It's good to have you here!

I just realized I was lacking in my social graces when I forgot to welcome you yesterday. These boards are full of good info, and a little playful banter as well. I think you will enjoy them.

Ooooh, a last minute cruise! What a great present for your niece. She's very lucky.

Welcome Aboard!
Amy

So far, so good! Most Disney people are OK in my book.....and the last minute cruise almost didn't happen! We'd given her a choice between a laptop for college and a trip, this is at beginning of the school year! Middle of March she finally decided, but between our schedules, her schedule, vacation time not already planned, it was this cruise or next summer! As it is, we're going between her last day of school, and the graduation ceremony! We'll get home Sat, the 22nd, and her graduation is Sunday afternoon!

And lest anyone be concerned for her education, (I've had a few) when we gave her the choice, I told her if she played her cards right, she could get both.....let Dad put out for the laptop! ;-)

It worked! Anyway, its not soon enough now that we've paid the money, and its still cold. At least we're closer to spring than Scott is! ;-)

Thanks again, Kelli

Welcome onboard Kellib36. You can find out almost anything you want on these boards, it's great. This is my first cruise and I am having no problem finding out anything I want to know. this group seems like a great group and I am sure it will be an experience. Once again, welcome. Amymouse, all ready for your POFQ trip? Enjoy yourself and let us know how it was when you get back.

Scott,
Any luck on the doc's yet?

Brett

Nope not yet sooo... I called DVC to see where they may be.
Was told not to expect them till 14 days before, has to do with DVC's contract, Oh well, at least I know they have our reservation.

With Kelli on the cruise 10% of Wyoming's total population will be on vacation that week. :p I think we did meet at Mousefest, abeit briefly. Just surprised to see someone from WY there. All this time I thought I was the only Disney Nut in WY. Our days are nice and sunny and kinda warm, nights are rather cool, (low 20's).

I drove thru Wyoming back in 96. I thought there was more of you out there. :smooth: Oh well, must have all been tourists.

I think that is the DVC reps standard line…two weeks before sailing. Last time we cruised on points we received docs at least a month in advance, even when they told us the 14 day thing. I guess this time around, they are sticking to their guns for us
:(

If you drove through in the summer, yes, they were all tourists....

Scott, you were just as surprised as I was......I was reading all the posts, not thinking to look over to the left, and when I did....WOW! I hollered at Keith that somebody in Jackson was also cruising with us...he was pretty surprised, too! I seem to remember someone from Wyoming at Mousefest, too, I'm thinking one of the parks, but I agree, it was a big blur!!

OK, this is weird! My TA just sent me a message, with my cabin number....its a wheelchair accessible room!! Evidently, the FreeWheelers aren't using all the W-A rooms! Anyway, we're in number 7636, its the next to the last room toward the aft end of deck 7....

It has one of the largest decks on the ship......and close to each Blanket Buffet....its weird to say that, too! I'm used to saying Topsiders!!! She also said our docs should be in the mailby Thursday....just to rub it in a little!! ;-)

Kelli

Yes, gmech, I'm just about ready for my trip to WDW. I'll be sure to rub it in, er uh, I mean drop you all a note here before I leave.

Kelli, I think we'll be right down the hall from you on the ship. I'm almost positive we're in 7620. That's just a hop, skip and a wobbly jump away from you. (Really, I'll only be wobbly the first night then all is good).

Yippee, we finally hit our thirty day mark before flying out!! MIL just called to inform me that she still does not have the docs. Oh well, I guess something to look forward to.
:earsboy:

Wobbly is better than other things....are you a weeble? ;-)

I'll be under the influence of the patch....I don't take any chances, especially since we'll be thrill riding before and after...I get seasick in a swimming pool!!!

I'll be watching for you in the hall..... :-)

Kelli, I don't think I can claim to be "weeble" since I have, occasionally, fallen down.

What "thrill riding" will you be doing?

We'll be spending 1 full day before and 2 1/2 days after the cruise hitting the parks...the last time Nicole was at Disney, Test Track had been delayed for months, and RnRC and Mission:Space were just rumors. We are also planning at least the 1/2 day at US to hit the coasters there.....

When we were planning our first cruise, I went to the Dr. and got seasick patches, I wasn't going to mess with getting queasy!! The fact that I can do rollercoasters now is awesome!!!

Kelli
