May 16, 2004 / 4 Day Wonder

Just hate seeing this sooo far down.

Getting close to the 100 day mark, then we are really close to teh three month mark. Yes......

After not seeing it above zero for three days, three months can't come fast enough.

Bret,
Warm weather on the way to you. It was 34 here yesterday. We have at least three more months till winter breaks here.

Will be waiting the arrival of Malamute puppies this weekend. DCL special on the Travel Channel sure wet the appetite.

Sad to read a post of people that thought Nassau was scarry. I feel just the opposite. Years back I lived on New Providence and I really like and respect the Bahamian people.

Hey all,

Maybe we should name our sailing "the great Thaw Out of 04" Cruise.

Sounds like a great name for our cruise!! I am looking at the temp on the computer now and it says “0”

We took a van tour thru Nassau in 02’ with a very friendly driver. We did not get “scared” at all. Of course as in any place, there are those “bad” areas. However, nothing out of the ordinary in my opinion and I was happy we paid the small fee for the tour!

Gonna rename the cruise, huh?......better get those toe-protectors packed

I believe the repeat cruise gift is a beach towel.
You also might have to wait for the cruisers in wheelchairs to board before you swarm on...(I don't remember now which of you frequent posters on this topic...Scottie, Scott, Brett...?? it was that is responsible for which of the posts I'm replying to but here it is......I just got back from 2 weeks at the World and can hardly wait for this cruise.... and another week + at the World. See ya on the Wonder.....if you thaw out in time...:wave2:

videogal1- To say the least I am sure we are all VERY jealous of your recent extended stay in WDW as we freeze the nights away!!

Scott,
Our Siberian was wondering if the Malamute's came this weekend?

Missed DVC chat for that very reason. We have a male and a female. Nice small litter of only the two, it was her first litter. We thought there were going to be three but one was reabsorbed. Mom is doing great and is a great mother.

Thanks for asking,

Great news Scott on the babies! I was just looking at the countdown clocks and relazied we are all very close to hitting the 100 day even mark here soon enough. Even know it is a toasty 31 degress here right now, I am sure I would prefer for the 100+ days to move along quickly so I can enjoy some fun in the hot sun!

We hit the 100 mark, wishing it were the 10day mark.

I am still fighting with the airline ticket prices. I tried every airport within a reasonable drive time of Port Canaveral/Orlando (including the Orlando airport) and every flight is higher priced then I have ever paid before. I am in debate if I should buy them soon or wait it out in hopes there is a price war. Such a hard decision!

Congrats on hitting the 100 mark, just a few more hours to go for mine!

For airfares - I have had pretty good luck with Orbitz. Sometimes it is worth checking 3-4 times a day as prices do bounce around.

Thanks Scott, I have been trying to check as many sites as possible often. I will make sure to keep Orbitz on the top of my list.

Sitting here and watching it snow again, I can't wait to be sitting on the beach at CC in May. I've come to the conclusion, there's no such thing as global warming in Wisc.

1-6" forcast for us, I agree with you whole heartedly.

I actually plan on being out in the water rather than sitting on the beach. The thoughts are still the same.

Just for fun I was looking for availability on our cruise and see it is just about sold out. Looks like it will be a mad dash for ressies.

I have been tracking the availability too. The cat 4 rooms have been gone for about 2 weeks now I think. I guess that will be a good excuse for us to arrive at the port extra early then! :wave2:

All most a sold out boat.... In the past we were on a cruise that was also nearly sold out and were amazed that the ship did not feel crowded. Too much work for me this weekend 2.5 hours of sleep really did not cut it. 20 hours spent out in cold windy weather makes for dreaming of warmer location. Very very ready for a vacation.

Will definately be at the port early. I am looking forward to meeting you all.

We are going to make two "custom" pillow cases for our girls to take on board. I think they would love the surpise of getting them back towards the end of the cruise with a bunch of character signatures on them. What a way to remember the great time!

I am also going to request a postcard for them, from this site, about 60 days out as a warm up to the big trip.
