May 13, 2007 EARLY Roll Call… 5/13/2007 4-Night Wonder

oh my.....i am on hold. It seems like all of military rates are gone!!!!! It all happened in a matter of 5 minutes.....we are stilll working it!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Travel agent came through...he says we got it...But I am Still on hold...I will let you know if it is really true!!! I think it will be about $500 savings plus a better cat!!!!!!!

So those of you with 3 year olds...Are you worried about the balcony? I beleive I have been upgraded to one.

It is official. I am Cat 5 and saved $440. We yaaaaa!!!!!

Thanks for the tips!! If I hadn't read this I wouldn't have have saved money!!

you guys are starting to make me envious in my little cat 11, lol:rotfl2:
at this point i am just glad we are going. i told alex even if her chicken pox weren't better and they made us stay in our room we would still be there. we would just be ordering alot of roomservice. thankfully she is fine and just looking forward to sunday, so we can get started on our vacation. boy do i need this vacation.

Happy to hear the chicken pox are under control!

Skyw- that is why I jumped to post about MILs savings, in hopes you would see it and land a sweet deal too! Now you can treat everyone to drinks instead of my MIL :rotfl2:

We have a balcony on our cat 6 rooms, and we are ok with it, even with the 18 month old and the girls. Unless they climb on furniture unattended, the kids would be hard pressed to cause an "incident", from what I recall.

:) Scottie,
In a earlier post you mentioned that you were on the meal plan..
Did you reserve you sit down meals yet???
If not you should do that before you leave home..Sit down seating can be a bear..
just a tip
gg

We are on the dining plan and reserved all of our sit down meals a few months back. We eat at Wolfgangs the first night, 1900 Park Fare second night, Le Cellier third night, and finally Kona Cafe the last night. Since there are eight of us, we made sure to book right away to secure seating for a large party.

I am so excited about the discounts. I was happy with the room we orginally had but getting a discount rocks. I called my mom and she is really happy about the balcony. Now, we can sit on the balcony while Luke takes his naps. I am floating on cloud nine now!!! No need for a helicopter either. :yay:

skyw- do you know what room and side of the side of the ship you will be on yet, or is it just a guarantee room at this point?

:scared1: Hi,

rejobako- I was surprised to see you couldnt land a Cat 6 room when you booked. When I called today they said they had cat 5 and 6 open for FL discounts.

Now that the big day is moving closer... what is everyone leaning towards as their arrival time at port to drop off luggage and head inside?

I imagine we will pull up between 10am and 11am, likely around 10:30ish. The earlier the better in my opinion but it will depend on how fast I can force everyone to get ready in the morning and grab a bite to eat at the buffet. I am sure I can gang up with the girls the night before to work on an early wake up and some jumping on the adult beds at the hotel to wake everyone up :rotfl:

My granddaughter is a climber but I am not worried at all. As long as you keep an eye on him he will be fine. The doors aren't easy to open either... so I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I want a upgrade.....But I am too just happy to be going. I think it will be fien with a big window. After all a Vacation is great not to be home with the worries. I am just looking for that check in the mail. It would be nice to know the mortage is paid before it is due and before we leave. One less thing to think about if you know what I mean.

We have started getting the house ready for the big trip and am looking forward to doing Mothers day with my mom this Sunday. It will be nice to have Mothers day just for me and not running around to three different house's.

Only 6 more days.....I can not wait until Wed is here.

Hi Everyone!

Thanks for the welcome!:) We received our docs yesterday, so that was exciting. It was pretty much info we already knew, but the formality of getting them was exciting nonetheless. Just one step closer to getting on the ship! We did find out that we have late seating. We had requested early, but I am thinking that late will be okay since we are always on West Coast time anyways.

Grumpy-Gramps: I tried to reply to you about the door-sign, but I kept getting denied access. Maybe I am still too new to the board...Anyways, our names are Nicole (me), Scott (DH) and Devyn and Jadyn (DDs 4 and 3 y/o). We live in Ladera Ranch, CA. This probably sounds completely ignorant, but do we just print out door-signs and post them on our cabin doors? This is our first Disney cruise and I am obviously unfamiliar with the process. I just had to ask....

Skyw:We are scheduled to stay at the Radisson the night before, but I may try to switch to the Residence Inn if rooms are available. As far as the whole balcony/veranda issue goes, I was worried about it initially. I just will need to keep an eye on my 3 y/o especially and make sure they understand not to climb on anything.

I want to arrive around 10-1030. Once we get up, I know we will be ready to go. I want to get on the ship as early as possible. That way my son can enjoy it before he has to lay down of the manadatory nap.

SKYW...I think that is great your son will nap. My 3 year old is a fight to nap and if he does nap he will not go to bed at night. So no Naps for a while now. We do have quite time and once in a great while he will fall a sleep but normally he play real quite or will watch TV. Naps that sound wonderful to me for me.:cloud9:

Mickey4- He doesn't always take naps. Most days he does. But he only sleeps 8-9 hours at night. So I don't get much time after he goes to bed. I have two reasons for keeping him on naps.....he can stay up later on the cruise and he will have to go to daycare part time this summer. This day care makes them nap or sit in the cot quietlly. I don't necessary agree with making a kid sit there for 1.5-2 hours. So I keep him on a nap so that he can sleep. After my surgery when things get better, I will get him off of naps. If he doesn't take a nap now, he is monster child by 5pm.
