Hey!
It looks like you got lots more snow than we did! I remember when we lived in Rochester NY, the snow was so much that at times, you had a hard time seeing out of the back sliding glass door. Kind of odd.

Jo

Yes, it's odd. . . Or just plain nasty!! :lmao: I've had enough and winter hasn't even begun.

So is anyone else getting discouraged looking for airfare??? We have always flown AirTran. Right now their "Web Special" is still $109 one-way! I just don't think that's very special! :rotfl: I'm looking for more like $69 one-way like last year. I'd even settle for $79 or maybe even $89, but not $109! I think Southwest is supposed to release their rates beyond May 9 on December 20 or 21. But from what I am seeing their prices haven't been much better. . . . So here I sit, and WAIT. . . :hourglass

LOL, the "Non-Special Special".:rotfl:

Here, have a banana. May he dance for you his entire lifespan. :scared1:

Hi Jo! Glad you liked the new video.

Our day at DL was pretty nice. It was a bit cold, in the lower 60's during the day and it was in the 50's at night, but very bright and sunny.

We took my wife's mom with us. She is 81 and so we decided to rent a wheelchair. Even though she can walk, she wouldn't have lasted all day walking around with all the crowds and such.

This wasn't a "ride heavy" day. We did stuff we knew she would enjoy and see. So we did Tiki Room, Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, Pooh, IASW, Roger Rabbit, Monorail and the Mark Twain riverboat. She loved the Christmas parade. She was waving at all the entertainers and she was getting waves and winks back at her. She also llike the Christmas lights on IASW and the light show on SB Castle.

We had lunch at the Blue Bayou which is in the POTC ride. My boys, wife and MIL had the Monte Cristo sandwiches. I had the prime rib - it was huge. The entrees came with rolls, wedge salad, potatoes and veggies. My son got a virgin mint julip drink - got a sip of that before it was gone. The portions are very generous and the food was very tasty and enjoyable. We weren't rushed out although there was a lot of people wanting to get in. We were there for about an hour and a half. I will put some BB pics in my slide show. I did not get very good pictures because it is so dark in there. It is a great place to go and relax from the noise and crowds of DL. I highly recommend a visit to anyone.

We left the park around 6:30 p.m. My MIL really enjoyed herself and told my wife that she wanted to come back again. She just loved all the holiday deorations. She even wanted to get a annual pass before we left - but the line would be almost an hour wait. Next time it will happen.

LOL.

"All I wnat for Christmas is my banana to unfreeze, my banana to unfreeze, my banana to unfreeze. All I want for Christmas is my banana to unfreeze, so I could wish you Merry Christmas!!!"

:scared1:

:santa:

Hi Seacrest!

I'm so glad your trip was nice! It's wonderful that you took your MIL and she enjoyed herself. What a nice Son In Law you are!:goodvibes

I can't wait to see the pics...

BTW Mint Juleps... Southern girls love 'em!;)

Haha.

Jo

So what's everybody got going on for the next week???

Here's my crazy life!

Wednesday DS6 has a playdate.
Thursday, well this is my tricky day! Anyone know how I can be in 2 places at once??? :lmao: If you can figure that one out, please let me know!! DS8's school play and parent brunch is at 9:00. DS6's school party is at 9:00. Well, I kind of need to be at DS6's party since I organized and planned it! But I can't miss DS8's play. . . :confused3 I think I am going to go to DS8's play right 9:00 and then hope it doesn't last too long and then cut out a bit early and run to the rest of DS6's party! OH MY I'm tired already.
Friday is DS8's party.
Saturday is dinner here with some of DH's family at 6:00.
Sunday is dinner at my mom's at 4:00. I only have to bring the desserts for this one!
Monday ~ Christmas Eve, all we have going that day so far is Christmas Eve Service at Church. Either at 5:30 or 7:00, depending on if we decide to go to our church here or go to our old church where we used to live (about 40 minutes away).
Tuesday ~ Christmas Day :santa: We never leave the house on Christmas Day!! My Dad, Step-Mom, Brother, SIL, and nephew will come here for dinner around 5:00.

Okay, I think that's it! :goodvibes

I am so ready to end this day. Too busy to have any fun.

Getting ready to do some Christmas shopping tonight - that should be sort of fun - right?

hey everyone...

I am one happy canuck, to have some snow finally.
We had a blast of winter here yesterday...it's so beautiful and here just in time for the holidays.

Ds is having a blast playing outside in it.
The school buses didnt run today, but school was still open so I drove ds in for morning kindergarten, and then dd and I finished our christmas shopping before it was time to pick him up at noon.

Only one week till santa comes... we are getting excited here.
a few things to still do,but i think i'll be ready in time...

Today I was wrapping gift and one of them was the toy monorail I bought for the kids when we were at disney in may and put away for christmas...ah..the memories. :santa:

7 sleeps! I can hardly wait!!! :santa:

Love the snow pics. No snow here. Everything is a cheery shade of winter brown.

I have a wee bit more of shopping to do. Odds and ends for relatives. I have bought nothing for dh. He wants 3 shirts and a subscription to Men's Health magazine. That should be very easy.

Tomorrow I am getting my carpets cleaned which is part of my Christmas. I am so excited. :woohoo:

Have a great day Mayers!

i had hoped to take the kids out for lunch today, but i woke up this morning feeling awful... at least if i'm sick it's today and not next week.

Lake - Sorry you are feeling  . Hopefully you will be well by Christmas.

That is an awesome idea to buy the current issue. I think I am going to copy you. Imitation is the highest form of flattery you know! Thanks for the idea!
