So here's my vacation dilemma-------

anyone want to look at the park days and tell me where you think you'd go when????????????

I have a tentative plan but i planned them forever ago and got my ADR's so long ago and now I am mentally exhausted form the move and have no energy to put towards the vacation. Please help me.

Here's what I have-

Thurs 10/23 fly out late- arrive POFQ around midnite

Fri 10/24 mess around, sleep in, possibly go to DTD or MK- probably meeting up with Mark's grandparents for lunch somewhere. Want to take it easy- get an ADR for "somewhere" for dinner and an early evening - but not sure where.need a suggestion here. anyone been to Portobello Yacht club in DTD?????

Haven't tried Portobello. We loved Raglan Road, but it's LOUD after 9 pm with the band...live Irish music, though, very cool My b-day dinner is here..

Sat 10/25 leave at 6 am for the Gator Game meet up with Mark's aunts, uncles, cousins for a friendly tailgating before the game. Get back to POFQ late- No ressies that day

Sun 10/26 Mk in the morning, CS at Columbia Harbor House for lunch. Dinner ADR's at Ohana at 6:40. Hope to watch Hallowishes from the beach. Or get tix to MNSSHP- but that would mess up our touring in the morning?????

Mon 10/27 Epcot San Angel lunch at 11:30-- fight the EMH crowd at MK for dinner at LTT@ 5:20 and Spectro in the Super Secret MAYer spot at 7, Wishes at 8 pm.

Tues 10/28 DHS morning-Sci Fi lunch @ 12:25 Need ressies here for supper- Fantasmic at 7 pm. OR--- the alternative--- go to this MNSSHP- but then when would i do Fantasmic?

Brown Derby, if you want something more upscale...or you could do PT50's if you like that vibe...

Wed 10/29 sleep in OR go to DHS or Epcot or MK-- no ressies here, just eat CS. want to go to EMH in the evening at AK. Need ressie here. Possible Rainforest cafe????

Yak & Yeti is Asian food (not a buffet, getting pretty good reviews), the new Tusker House is being called "Boma lite" and is a buffet, also pretty good reviews

Thurs 10/30 Epcot all day- need ressies here- maybe lunch, definitely dinner or--- another alternative- trick or treating at DTD with the kids and supper. catching Illuminations on Fri nite. AS it stands now, I have ressies for Garden Grill and i'm not happy about it.

Biergarten is supposed to be fun for kids, ooom pah, ooom pah, ooom pah pah Or maybe Teppan Edo if you like the Benihana kind of show? Or try for Rose & Crown for good viewing of Illuminations

Fri 10/31 Halloween! MK in Morning/ Epcot at night - ADR's at Le Cellier EMH Epcot

Sat 11/1 leave


Okay- so tear it up. i need good ideas. I'm thinking I'm liking the idea of MNSSHP on Sunday night- then easy day on Monday at Epcot. It's better to go there on an easy day than an MK day.

ETA: Oh, forget the last Epcot suggestion for R&C to catch Illuminations...I didn't catch that you already have LC ADR on Friday...but you might want to try one of those on Thurs? And don't do Marrakesh, since you aren't a cous cous kinda gal!!!

OK, I do think you guys would enjoy MNSSHP. Have you ever been? The NewCrews went to P&P Party and we loved it. It was so easy to get on rides. We loved the special parade (and my crew hates parades - except for me, I love a parade.) We also loved the special fireworks. I would so go to MNSSHP one night if I had the opportunity.

I would go back for Fantasmic package. We really like Mama's. It is slow, so try to think of it as restful and relaxing, that is the mindset I go in with. Since you would be at DHS for the morning, save a FP or two to use when you back in the evening. RNR coaster baby!!!

Since you just went to DHS studios the day before, I might go somewhere else. I never can get enough MK in the morning. It is my favorite time of day there. We really enjoy AK extra magic hour evenings. Lion King will be shorter if you choose to see it during EMH evening. FYI. Also, you can ride EE single rider and ride a lot. This is what the kids and I did on our last night at WDW. Over and Over and Over again.

I know this is not glamorous but my kids like to eat at Restaurantasaurous because they have McDonald's Chicken Nuggets. We have eaten there during evening EMH. We have been to AK RFC and have really enjoyed it. We have been for lunch and it was a nice break from the heat. I really prefer AK at night, although I do enjoy EE first thing in the morning, but then again, I like it anytime of day.

I think Tuskar House is a buffet.

I like the idea of Garden Grill, spinning, over looking the land, one of favorite rides, characters, fresh food, BUT my kids would never eat there. So we dine at the Electric Umbrella, and when we have a private jet, we will fly down just to eat the cheese fries. Has the new Italian Place opened. It would just be so far to walk.

I love the idea of Trick or Treat in DTD. It is something special that you just cannot do everyday.

I knew I could count on all of you. Thank you so much for the advice. In looking at everyone's suggestions and seeing me write the schedule out it helped.

Here's my plan of attack-

~I'm changing ohana to Friday night for the early evening before the game.
~Buying MNSSHP tix for Sunday, cancelling Ohana ressie
~ getting 50's PT ADR for Tuesday befer Fantasmic
~Doing Yak -n-Yeti for supper before AK EMH on Wed.
~Rainforest cafe in DTD for Thurs before TOT'ing there

Keeping everything else the same, for now.

It was a really cute way that this couple surprised their family with a disney trip.... I'm not gonna lie - it made a me a little teary eyed. I'll see if I can find it....

JO - OK- Yak and Yeti is good, but reaaaaalllllllly filling. And Bob and I were pretty big eaters - you guys may want to try the Yak and Yeti CS, and go and eat in the little courtyard by the waterfountain (kinda behind Y&Y) .... we did both CS and TS from them and we liked CS waaay better because it took like, 1/3 of the time and it was just enough food
MNSSHP - Super fun times - I went on my last trip to WDW (before my honeymoon, and it was a really really fun! )

I can check my sales on-line for the consignment sale. So far I have made $27.95 after fees. Yay! I really didn't put that much in. Last night was pre-sale for volunteers and consignors. The sale doesn't open to the public until today.

Do any of you have a front loading washing machine? Does it take forever to wash a load of laundry? I load mine, and I do pack it in there, but it takes like 1 hour and 14 minutes to wash a load. I do set it on a stain cycle and extra water. My dd is really messy. I miss my 17 year old Kenmore, that would wash a load in 1/2 an hour.
