Hi everyone!

Hi Sea...just the person I was looking for...::yes:: What can you tell me about "Garden Walk"? (is this the right name?) are all the stores and restaurants open? within walking distance from the DLH?
Thanks...jc

Shelly just love reading your report...feel like I was there...

Oh! and while I'm thinking of it...way to go! You guys have racked up the post count... :3dglasses

Hi JC,

Yes, the Anaheim Garden Walk is now open. There is a Cheesecake Factory, Bubba Gumps, California Pizza Kitchen, PF Changs, and few other restaraunts.
You can walk it from the DL hotel, here is a satellite pic to give you an idea how far it is from the Disneyland Resort. (Oh yea, see that big white building at the top left side of DL? That is the parking structure we park in all the time. It is the world's largest!)

Here is more info about AGW: http://anaheimoc.org/Articles/Archive/Webpage101099.asp

Maybe next Sunday I will go and visit there and take some pictures for you all. I haven't seen it since they open it up.

(Here are some facts about the parking structure: The six-level, 3.8-million-square-foot structure can hold 10,225 cars. The rooftop is the size of fourteen NFL football fields. A flyover from the southbound freeway leads directly into the structure, and vertical circulation (cars moving from one level to another) is facilitated by speed ramps—inbound and outbound. Cars enter one of 10 lanes leading to five tollbooths on the first level. The design allows parking of up to 3600 vehicles per hour. A ventilation system operated by carbon monoxide sensors monitors air quality, sucking out excess exhaust if a large number of cars is waiting. Ramps have magnetic strips that detect the number of cars entering each level, information that is displayed in the parking office allowing officials to steer the flow of traffic to empty areas. A closed-circuit TV with 220 surveillance cameras is part of the security system. The canopied escalator from the fifth floor to ground level is the largest of its kind —118 feet long and 54 feet high.)

Hey guys,

I am so busy getting things ready for Meghans bday party. Please send me some pixie dust for no rain. I think it might rain on Sat. UGH. I am having an outdoor party. SO NO RAIN HERE.

:offtopic: Today is my 7 year wedding anniversary. Dh is working super duper late. So we went out to dinner on Friday which was nice.

That is it from me.

Hello to all and welcome back JC

Happy Anniversary Huggie!!!

I hope it doesn't rain Saturday. I don't think the pony would like that.

then monday we went shopping for new furniture and i found an airmoire in the "clearance center" for like 1/8 of the original price :cool1: yeeaaaahhh bargain shopping!!!! (i had to redeem myself from the $1,500 television bill from sat:lmao: ) and later that night we went down to the mellon arena to watch my beloved pens get trampled again by the wings :worried: .... their defense is just too good
... but it's ok because my boys will be playing at home tomorrow and we'll show them what it's like to lose in our house!!

I might have forgot to tell you...once the Sharks were out of the playoffs, we switched to the Wings, because DH is from Detroit  Hey, the games have been great, both teams really playing their hearts out. And Detroit had home ice advantage the last two games, all that adrenaline from having the crowd behind you 100%...it may well be a very different story when the play in Pittsburgh!

Happy Anniversary, Huggie! :goodvibes

Mari, loved your DD's "Jinglebell" costume :tinker:

Oh Sea....on that satellite map...what is "Disney's Proposed Third Gate"??? That sounds intriguing...I'd sure love it if DL got something along the lines of Epcot...

There are a few ideas bouncing around what could become of that property: A Disney Villains park with extreme rollercoasters and other intense rides. Westcot - a west coast version of Epcot. Disney's America -themed to our country's heritage.

RF - Sorry to hear about your troubles over at POR. Next time I go i'm staying in CBR again. I would like to try thier new pool. Plus I LOVED that resort. That is home base for me. The buses were great and food was good.

Huggie - the weather will be perfect. I know what you mean about going crazy for parties. My DD bday party is the 14th and my DSis babyshower is the 22nd. can't a girl get a break!!!!!

Good morning everyone! :goodvibes

Happy Anniversary Huggie!! I didn't realize you had a MAY anniversary too!!

Good luck with the parties Huggie and Mari! :wizard:

We are hoping for nice weather this weekend too. We were supposed to have our year-end soccer tournament May 18th but it was cancelled due to the weather. They couldn't reschedule it for this past Sunday due to the holiday weekend, so it is this Sunday June 1st. I sure hope it's nice out!!

Mine!!! OMG, I will be 45. But as soon as I'm at Disney, I feel like I'm 6. :rotfl2: My birthday will be:
AK (for EMH late)
Tusker House for lunch
EE, Kali River Rapids (missed that last time), Nemo Show (missed that one too), Lion King (loved it and can't wait to see it again), the Safari, hopefully EE at least one more time...then DTD, late dinner at Raglan Road (9:00, when the music starts :shamrock: :drinking1 :rockband: :goodvibes :shamrock:), then maybe over to the Adventurer's Club if we're not too exhausted :faint: Sound like a party?

Westcot? WESTCOT??? That would be amazing!!!!! Who can I petition? Actually, any of those ideas would be cool, I'm sure Disney would make them amazing.

Argh...I owe, I owe, so off to work I go.. :rolleyes1 Have a great day, guys :goodvibes

Day 6 - Thursday MAY 15th - My 10th Anniversary!! :lovestruc

Today we planned to mostly just eat and relax!! :lmao: As you all know it was our anniversary. We got up and around and out the door around 8:30. We had a 9:15am ADR at Cape May. We took the bus to DHS and from there took the boat to the Beach Club. We were hoping for a little special treatment for our anniversary, but no such luck. DS9 even told our waitress that it was our 10th anniversary and she was like- oh that's nice. She was probably the worst waitress we had all week. Most of the meal I sat there with an empty juice glass. The food was good on the buffet, nothing great though. The characters were okay too. DS6 got to meet Minnie in a different outfit! It was cute. Also, Goofy, Chip and Dale. They didn't stay long, so no real great interaction. We probably would not go back there. From there we took the boat across the lake to the Boardwalk.

After strolling the Boardwalk for awhile we went back to CSR to enjoy another afternoon at the pool.

Later we got cleaned up and ready for dinner. We had a 6:15 at Crystal Palace. We got to MK a little early so we went into the picture center. I had heard that you can have them put the pictures that they take of you before your meals at certain restaurants on your photopass. And they did!! It took a little bit but I was able to get our pics from Chef Mickey's and Ohana's on there!

Then we made our way to CP. We were excited to try dinner here for the first time, we've done breakfast here twice and it is wonderful. The line just to check in was huge. I am thinking - oh great we already had crappy service for breakfast today! But eventually I made it to the front and got us checked in. They called us in about 15 minutes. We get to our table and we see a heart on our table made out of Mickey-head confetti!! It was awesome!! We didn't even tell them it was our anniversary. The woman that checked us in must have noticed our buttons and told someone. Pretty soon our waitress came and she was wonderful! She asked us how long we had been married and how to spell our names. At the end of dinner she waited until the last character had made his way to us (Eeyore) and she came over with a cupcake with 2 candles in it and a card signed by all the characters. She took pictures for us and everything! What a great surprise!!

Another great experience at Crystal Palace! The food was very good too. You can't go wrong there!

After dinner we were hoping to see Spectromagic for the first time. They were only doing it 2 times the whole week we were there. Well it was around 7:30 I think and the streets were already lined with people for the 9:00 parade. We didn't see any good spots so we decided against it. I wasn't going to make the kids sit there for 1 1/2 hours waiting on a parade they wouldn't be able to see very well anyway. Maybe next time!! So we went and rode POC and did some shopping on the way out and called it a night!

morning everyone!!!! :goodvibes
