Yea for Jo for doing nothing today!

Congrats for 23 days and counting. How is your MM punching going?

It be almost 85 here in Santa Monica today. We had a few sprinkles of rain yesterday and it was really humid.

hi Sea!
I've punched so many MM's I see them in my sleep.:)

Ooh- 85 and humid- I saw on the weather channel this morning you were gonna get some sprinkles.

So what's for supper?????????:rotfl2:
I only ask b/c I just put a lasagna together- I'll pull it out and bake it later. Yay for the six p's!:rotfl:

I am so bored.

I guess I'll go vacuum or something, LOL.

Jo

Tonight is chicken fajitas, with homemade guacamole and pico de gallo, rice and black beans.

Good morning, guys :wave2:

Man oh man, I've got the post-Disney blues...I want to go back so bad :sad1: Having fun with the trip report, though...and I have a bunch of scrapbooking stuff to play with once I have prints made, so that will be fun too. Glad I took a few extra days here at home. I have tons to do, but not much energy or motivation, so I clean a little bit, post a little bit, throw in a load of laundry, work on the next post for the trip report... I really need to get the oil changed in my car but do NOT want to go out today. I have a massage appointment tomorrow, so maybe I'll leave early and take care of the oil change while I'm out...

Congrats on your banana dance, Jo!!!:banana::banana::snooty::snooty::snooty: :banana::banana: (notice I threw in some Mayer Snooties for ya) How exciting to be looking forward to a trip!!!

Thanks for all the DCA info, Sea. A lot of the changes sound interesting and exciting, but of course we are puzzled and dismayed by a couple of them. Why get rid of the Golden Gate replica -- that is perfect for the California theme. And why remove the beautiful sun sculpture -- and we assume, that gorgeous blue wave fountain -- from the main plaza?!? :confused3 It's fine if they want to put in that theater replica, but the sun and wave fountain is such a work of art -- it's one of our favorite sights there! There is plenty of room at DCA...frankly, a lot of wasted space...they can surely add things without taking away some of the most beautiful features. The whole agriculture themed section in the middle is ok, but overall kind of boring and takes up way too much space for what it is. I am excited about the new Cars ride, especially if they use Tesk Track technology, I'm sure it will be a lot of fun. And of course, the Little Mermaid Ride should be beautiful. :goodvibes Kind of funny that they are planning to take the sun off of the Sun Wheel and replace it with a giant Mickey Head -- but then take the giant Mickey Head off of California Screamin' and replace it with a huge sun   Keep me posted on changes, especially when they open the preview center...

Well, supper at either of your houses sounds better than mine tonight :rotfl2: Poor Brrt has a terrible cold, so I'm making homemade chicken soup. My soup is good, but I'd rather have lasagne or fajitas!

Hi to all the rest of the Mayers...off to tackle Mt. Washmore...and then work some more on the trip report (honest, we really did go other places besides Epcot!)

KB - I think the feeling they are trying to get at DCA is to make the entrance plaza feel like Hollywood was like when WD came to town. I have heard that they even want to put replica red cars on the street too. I agree, there is a lot of wasted space and things are not easily accessed. It is so far to walk from TOT to TSM - they should allow you to cut through Bugs Land. There is no "flow" to the park. It is sort of like DHS or AK, not like DL or MK.

I think when the preview center opens up, we will get a better idea of what is going to happen.

Hey guys!

I'm checking in super fast on my way back to work from lunch.

Packing, Packing, Packing..... Moving, moving, Trip to the ER because Bob hurt his back.....moving by myself  ..... Working, working, working....

Ugh - Saturday Bob and my brother were moving our washer out of the basement and he had a muscle spasm ( We HOPE that's all that it is) :worship: Ane we spent half of the day in the ER. I had to call off work yesterday just to get everything out of my apartment on time. UGH... I hate moving! I am so ready for it to be over with

KB!!!!!!! :yay: :yay: :yay: I am sooo happy that you guys had a magical "do-over" trip!!! Good for you!

WELCOME to the MAYer shenanigans BRRT!!!! :welcome: I'm so glad that you guys had a great trip!

HI JO, Shelly, Mari, NC, Sea, and Sulley!!!!! Sorry if I forgot anyone! You know that I love you guys!

OK - Back to work - then I get to go home and do some more work at my non-paying job

Shelly - I am for sure going to try and go to that with Bob!

The southside works is sooooooo easy to get to! If you know how to get to Station Square (where the dancing fountains are) you can find it for sure!

It's on the same street (East Carson Street) but like, 10 more minutes down the road (near the Cheesecake Factory)

I can get you better directions if you decide that you want to go! :goodvibes

Oh yeah, please send me exact directions!! :yay: Station Square is the only place I can get to in the city without a map! :rotfl: So if it's not too far from there I should be good! Do you know what time they are having it? I can't seem to find that. . . :confused3

Yeah - not sure it's worth me missing a day of work for it.... Well... ;)

Although my building is only about 15 minutes from there

Hi Everyone!

Let us know about the Disney Parks thing. It looks interesting, but I am not sure I understand it.

I still have a cold but feel a little better today.

Have a great day!

So I went to Whole Foods yesterday and started taking:

herbal-remedies-usa_2017_149244564

Zinc Lozenges w/ Echinacea & Vitamin C, Nature's Way

I think it is helping.

Do any of you guys take this type of stuff with a cold?

I also bought some new vitamins for me. I have got to get back on track.

Want me to email some of this chicken soup I made for Brrt? I'm sure he'd share  When I got sick right before our trip, I started taking Zicam, which is supposed to shorten the length of time to get over a cold. Brrt is taking it now, hopefully it will help. It did seem that I got over it pretty quickly. And I'm trying really hard NOT to get whatever he's got now

Hope you feel better soon!

OUCH! Sorry to hear Bob hurt his back :sad2: And I hear ya, I hate moving too...it will be such a relief when it's all over...:faint: :cloud9:

Thanks for the welcome back! We had such a great time...check out the trip report when you aren't overwhelmed and you get a chance. I just did a post on Toontown, and Tomorrowland is next.

 I would love some chicken soup. Please send it right away.

I started with Zicam, the swabs, but switched to these lozengers. So we will see.

Hi, Jo, NC, Sulley, Sea, Mo2, Rusafee, and anyone I missed. It seems like there's quite a bunch of characters in here. :thumbsup2

I'm already thinking of ways to wrangle time and money out of my stingy workplace to go to DL. I considered maybe going during the Christmas holiday but...the crowds, oh the humanity...

So, we'll see for mid-December..here's hoping. I'm sure Katie would love a Christmas present like that; I certainly would.

Mornin MAYers!!! :snooty: :flower3: :snooty:

BRRT I am trying for my DH to "surprise" me with a trip to WDW for christmas. ;) I keep dropping hints at how nice of a gift a surprise trip would be. :rotfl:

never gonna get it, never gonna get it.... :rolleyes1

KB - I definately want to read the TR! I can't wait actually :woohoo: Hopefully sooner rather than later... We still have a bunch of stuff that needs done at my parents house still to get us settled in. The good news is that our apartment is completely empty, so now we just have to focus on getting everythinginto the house. Wish me luck with that..... :wizard:

Have a great day guys!!!! I am probably going to be busy today (1st of the month disbursement checks - lol) but, I'll check in if I can!

Hey all.... I'm back..... It was a great mini vacation. It was so relaxing to just do nothing. It was sad to leave my friend over there all alone. But i missed my DD so much. It's funny that i I have never been away from her for that long.

Welcome Brrt..... I see our KB finally got you to join in on the fun here.

Sea - GREAT pics. I would love to do something like that.

RF - Sorry to hear about bob's back. It's funny while i was gone my DH had to go to the ER aswell because his back hurt. But her feel while bowling last saturday and it still hurt when he got to the er they told him he has arthritis in his back and inflammed muscles. Now i bother him and tell him the old age is kicking in... he is 36.

The Celebration party will be by me on 10/3 i'm thinking about going. Especially since last time we were in WDW my DD really wanted one of those balloons and i didn't get it for her. I can make a day out of it i'll take my DD to the big Toys r us they have there.... we'll see....

Jo - you are almost there.... WDW here comes the jobirds....
