Well, I added some more to my trip report. Hope it's not TOO detailed, but we have a lot of great pics, and I'm trying not to overload any one post. I was going to do a separate dining report for the dining thread, but don't know if I'll have time, at least not for a while. I want to get prints made to scrapbook -- got some cool scrapbook paper there, and I still have some things I got last May, stickers and stuff. I never did a trip report, or scrapped any of our pics from last year because the trip ended so disastrously But this was our "redemption" trip, our "do-over", and we had such a wonderful time!

Poor Brrt had to go back to work today (used up his vacation time). I was supposed to have this whole week off, but I used a week of my time in July when I went to Montana to help my folks move, so I gave back the last two vacation days and will go back to work Thursday. I can work for two days and have a weekend, that won't be so bad. Today I get a massage (DS22 paid for it as my birthday gift), gotta get the oil changed in my car, and hoping to meet a girlfriend I haven't seen in a while for lunch, maybe tomorrow or Wednesday. I am still doing vacation laundry, and unpacking suitcases...such a dreary job. I really have post-WDW depression right now, coming back to the real world and reading all the awful news about the economy Ah well...all good things come to an end. It was really nice to live in the Disney-fantasy bubble and forget about the outside world for a little while. And of course, there's always the next trip to plan We have some things we want to pay off (like my car, and his motorcycle) before we can make it back to Florida, but I can start looking forward to our next DL trip.

Hola everyone!

How was your weekend?

I had a migraine Saturday which was made worse by the Gators losing-
so on Sunday we went online and spent an astronomical amount of $ on Gator gear. We bought all new stuff and then some. All of our jerseys and t's are really worn out so we all got new stuff.

So now we'll be trotting into Gainesville sporting new duds.

We are down to 24 days and I am getting all nervous that I haven't gotten everything done.

BTW- Sea- I ended up going into a shop here called Hobby Lobby in their scrapbooking dept and found a MM punch. So I bought it and have been punching out MM heads on different colors of cardstock for the kids PD. Thank you so much for the idea. The punch was on sale for $5.99 and the sheets of paper were only thirty cents each- so I am punching away. My hand hurts, LOL.
How was your birthday celebration??? Did you see the HM in the NBC get up? I can't wait to see pics---

Hey Everyone! Had a awesome birthday at DLR. We rode TOT seven times in row! The line was virtually a walk on!!! My friends surprised me and brought props and I put on my billybob teeth in a few shots too. Check out this shots:

Our Japanese friends rode with us twice, since we lost our first picture in another dimension!

After TOT we went and rode TSM 3 times, no new high scores today. Crossed over to DL and did a little dancing then headed over to HMH. OMG...it is awesome this year. I only took a few pics, but next time I go I will take a lot more and post them together. In the ballroom scene they put in a huge gingerbread coffin scene and they have pumped in that smell. Made us craved gingerbread cookies!

Awesome day! My friends really put a lot of love and effort in to making my bday really special. I wished you guys could have been there too! Maybe next year!!!

I'd like to go. I don't know where the place is that it is being held though. I know it's on the south side of the city, just never been there. And of course I live 45 minute north of the city. We'll see. . . I can't seem to find the time of the event either. That would be helpful!

We were supposed to get rain all weekend, but only got a few sprinkles here and there. We got both of the kids soccer games in with no rain yesterday! And they both did great!! It is supposed to cool down later this week. We'll see. . . Still in the low 70's for now!

Sea...how on earth did you get so many people to pose with happy, relaxed faces on TOT??? EVERY pic that was taken of me on there looks like sheer horror and utter panic!

I think we all have ridden so many times we have gotten familiar with the ride. We also know when they are going to take the picture so we are prepared with our poses. We had a car all by ourselves the first time and no one screamed at all. It is now more fun to go on the ride with newbies and do our antics. LOL!

So, when are you coming down to DL so that we can ride TOT together?

He also likes the Maliboomer, but I heard they were getting rid of that -- have you heard that, and do you know why? I know they were also talking about putting in a Little Mermaid ride, and THAT is definitely more my speed

Not sure when our next trip to DL will be. I have a week off mid-December, but don't know if Brrt would have time...maybe we could make a long weekend...

Thanks Jo and Shelly - it was a great day. One of my favorite pics is the BK hats...look at what my oldest son did with his hat. Later on in the day we saw the Japanese girls and they were still wearing the feather hats! It was blast!

Are they keeping open the other beach boardwalk themed rides -- the Sun Wheel, California Screamin' (can't imagine them closing that, it's so popular and so fun), and the Jumpin' Jellyfish and that giant orange? King Triton's carousel is so beautiful, and unique with all of the sea creatures...sure hope they keep that, too. The boardwalk is really pretty at night, all those bright colors.

I asked Brrt when he got home from work and he immediately said, "Thanksgiving" -- whoa! Great idea, but I know the prices are higher, the parks are more crowded, and not sure if we can afford another Disney trip so soon ...we'll see! Would probably take some of this: and this: I also was thinking about the week of 12/15, if it is before Christmas Break for most schools, we might be able to swing that somehow, not that it gives us that much more time...

Some of that has already changed, but it gives you a good idea of what is upcoming.

If you come after TG, that is great. It will be busy, but you can do a lot of rides. The Christmas parade and Fantasmic and Believe...in Holiday Magic Fireworks will be performing regularly during that time. It's A Small World with the Christmas overlay reopens in late November too. Our APs are good up to the 20th of Dec. then we are blocked out until Jan. 1st. So anytime in between TG weekend on Sunday until Dec. 20th we are OK.

Mornin!

So my countdown pig- yes- I have one of those plaster "chef" pigs holding a chalk board that you can write on- it says 23 days. I can't believe it's so close.

I couldn't sleep last night so I saw the very end of the Steelers game. Yay Steelers! I hope they have a decent season. We were watching it earlier in the night and they kept showing downtown and DH and I were a bit nostalgic- he more so than me, only b/c he used to work next to Heinz field and spent many hours at the stadium in meetings with their people.

So--- what am I doing today? You're looking at it. Nothing.
