^^^ Are you going Shelly? That sounds really cool and interesting. Be sure to take some pics if you can go so we can see what happened. Sea
Hola everyone!
Shelly- how's your weather? I saw that it was supposed to rain this past weekend-
that tour is so cool! They aren't giving any love to the midwest, sniff, sniff.![]()
Jo
Sea...how on earth did you get so many people to pose with happy, relaxed faces on TOT??? EVERY pic that was taken of me on there looks like sheer horror and utter panic!
Glad you had a great birthday, though!![]()
I think we all have ridden so many times we have gotten familiar with the ride. We also know when they are going to take the picture so we are prepared with our poses. We had a car all by ourselves the first time and no one screamed at all. It is now more fun to go on the ride with newbies and do our antics. LOL!
So, when are you coming down to DL so that we can ride TOT together?
Sea
Nuh-uh, no way, I don't do TOT anymore! Now Brrt would probably be glad to have someone to ride with, though... He also likes the Maliboomer, but I heard they were getting rid of that -- have you heard that, and do you know why? I know they were also talking about putting in a Little Mermaid ride, and THAT is definitely more my speed
Not sure when our next trip to DL will be. I have a week off mid-December, but don't know if Brrt would have time...maybe we could make a long weekend...
Sea! Those are the most awesome birthday pics I have ever seen!!!!!!!!
Looks like your day was fantastic!
Shelly- yay for no rain!I know how important that is, LOL!
Jo
Awwwwww....maybe you will change your mind when you come down.
Mailboomer is closing down because it doesn't fit into the new motif of Paradise Pier. In a few months there will be a new "preview center" at DCA with models and drawings of the new rides and attractions that they are building in the next few years.
I hope you and husband can come down during the Christmas season. We would welcome another TOT ride partner.
BTW...Welcome Brrt to the Mayer board! See all the fun you have been missing???
Seacrest
Interesting...what will the new motif be? Are they keeping open the other beach boardwalk themed rides -- the Sun Wheel, California Screamin' (can't imagine them closing that, it's so popular and so fun), and the Jumpin' Jellyfish and that giant orange? King Triton's carousel is so beautiful, and unique with all of the sea creatures...sure hope they keep that, too. The boardwalk is really pretty at night, all those bright colors.
I asked Brrt when he got home from work and he immediately said, "Thanksgiving" -- whoa! Great idea, but I know the prices are higher, the parks are more crowded, and not sure if we can afford another Disney trip so soon...we'll see! Would probably take some of this:
and this:
I also was thinking about the week of 12/15, if it is before Christmas Break for most schools, we might be able to swing that somehow, not that it gives us that much more time...
