oh dang Shelly- I'm glad it's not just some black "dead smoke alarm battery" cloud that hangs over my house alone.
I swear I was ready to jerk the whole thing out the wall. Come to think of it, our last house in Arkansas, the same thing happened when Mark was out of town and I DID indeed jerk the whole thing out of the wall--- He came home and took one look at the wires and said 'What the heck happened??" and I just shrugged my shoulders. I think the Evil Queen came out in force that night, LOL.

NC- is that this weeks game or next week? Florida is off this week and we are going through deep depression over it. We are anxiously awaiting the USC/Ohio Stank game, though. We can't wait to see THE Ohio State get their tails tromped. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. As far as staying at the hotel--- of course Chloe loves it... it is an awesome hotel, not to mention the breakfast the next day--- and I am not even one who eats breakfast. hahahahaha
Hey- do you or anyone you know--- where do the opposing teams usually fly into when they come here? Fayetteville (XNA) or Ft Smith? I want to take the kids to the airport to try to get a gander at the Gators---
yes, I would indeed take them out of school for such an occasion. I'd for sure get the cool mom award that day.
do you know where they might stay? One could only hope the Embassy suites......... I'd be camping out with binoculars, LOL. Right there on my balcony off my Master bedroom. hahahahahah



Okay so it looks like we will be getting some hurricane Ike. Woo hoo- we'll get a hurricane party after all!

I now have all of the kids t-shirts I bought for them packed. I am on top of my game, I tell ya.

well we sat down with out DS and i told him what i thought which is that his i don't think his GF is pregnant she is just saying that because he broke up with her. And the other girl i don't think she is pregnant. Either that or she is trying to pin this kid on him when it might not be his. Oh yeah their ages... my DD just turned 18 on aug 3.. his GF is 19 and the other girl is 23. I'm trying not to go crazy over the whole situation but i contacted the other girl and told her that even though my DSS is young and doesn't really understand everything that he does have a family that have been through it all and will not let him get used. So we'll see what happens. And his GF is taking an EPT test this weekend my DSS is going to NY that is where she lives. will keep you all posted on the drama...

on a different note i ordered a photobook from snapfish and it cam in yesterday my DD will not put it down. She keeps saying she wants to go back and she tells me a story about all the pics in the book. and she can't wait to go back.

YAY for Disney packing!! I am not going to be able to properly start to pack until after we tell the kids at Christmas. And then it's less than a month. Oh no, will it be enough time??? You know I like to start 3 months out!!

Shelly--- yay packing!!!! Aww-- you know we did the surprise thwe kids thing one Christmas. We gave each one a box with clues. MC was the only one who could read anything, and the other two were so shocked when the lightbulb finally went off. we printed out an invitation from te Princesses for breakfast (okay, confession time- it was my birthday when we ate there that day- so it was my present to myself. I know, horrid.) and in the box we had sunglasses, cameras, autograph books, t shirts, candy. What a fun time.


Mari- snapfish... I tried to log on and couldn't. I'll have to try again.

Hi everybody...I am....SICK!!! I came home from work yesterday, and my throat is so sore today it hurts to swallow and my ears hurt

DH says better to get sick now and be better by next week. He had a bad cold about a week ago, but it didn't bother his throat. I hope he already had this and doesn't get sick. I gotta get better fast! I'm taking Zicam and sucking on sore throat drops and just trying to sleep... pixie dust please, guys....

And I need packing cows...JC, are you the one who had packing cows?

This weeks game was against Texas in Texas. It has been cancelled due to Ike. It will be rescheduled. So we have Hog withdrawals too.

Next week is Alabama.

I am not sure where Florida flys in. I would guess Fayetteville. I'll ask Doug, he's an alum, he may know.

Hi Mayers!!!

This time last year for our 10th anniversary my husband surprised me with a vacation savings account. He had been secretly saving for 10 years, little by little so that we could have a nice family vacation.

Our kids were 9 and 7 when we went last MAY and it was the most magical trip!! It was our first trip but hopefully not our last.

I found the disboards shortly after we decided our destination would be disney and I've been hooked ever since!! I check in on the mayers daily and I've so enjoyed you all!!

I live in Ohio now but I spent many childhood years in Pittsburgh (GO STEELERS!!!) So it's also fun hearing from the Pittsburgh girls too.

Jo - My DH says he thing they fly into Fayetteville. Ask your GFs, thing may have changed since he graduated back in 1984.

Well, I need to drive to Hot Springs today to pick up a Sports Coat for my ds for cotillion. There are not any to be found here. I had Dillards start calling around and they found one in Hot Springs so I asked my mom to stop in as that is where she lives and she was able to pick it up for me. I'm afraid it will rain on me all morning.
