PS-

Sounds like a great birthday!!!
We are struggling with what to do for Belle's b-day... have not a clue.

Jo

Nope, I don't have a nifty (or groovy) cupcake holder!! :rotfl: :lmao:
That would be neat to take them to the school in though.

We decided on no big birthday party's this year. They both had a big one last year. So we are keeping it simple! :goodvibes

Well, I tried to download the pics I had of MC's cupcakes in their nifty, groovy holder, but at the moment, my computer is on strike. haha.

It's at walmart- I think I paid $9 or so- but it only holds 13 cupcakes so you'd have to get a couple to have enough for the school. It might be hard to transport too.

I looked at both Safari sams and Fun for all on line, haven't been over to either...
but i am dragging my feet b/c everything is so dang expensive! $17 per kid.:scared1: Which is cheaper than the Build a bear at $20-$25.

We thought about just having a party here-
we own a jump castle, so the kids could play in that and maybe do some girly princess things. But you never know about the weather. If it was warm, we could pull out our other water slide jump castle thing a ma bob, but it's cold.

I just don't want kids and parents all traipsing throught the house.:scared1:
Maybe I am anti- social.:confused3

or, maybe I'm just tired. I
will feel better about it next week.:rolleyes1

I like the idea of no big parties. Even doing it at home, I am budgeting about$200-250 to do it right. I don't want to do any of it.

Bad attitude alert!!!!!!!!!!!!:headache:

Okay, anyway- I hope your ice cream cake comes out good. What do you make it with? Is it a recipe from Pampered Chef? cause i love that recipe they have.

Jo

:rotfl:

mornin-
Oh dang, it's afternoon.:headache:

Congrats on the bouncing baby boy, Mella!!!! Boys are soooooo sweet. they love their Mama's best of all....:lovestruc
Hope the rest of the pregnancy is smooth and easy-

NC- so glad you are doing okay. I haven't had a chance to turn on the news today so I had no clue. I am so happy you are safe.:grouphug:

Yay, RF! I know you are overwhelmed- you'll pull it all together! tomorrow is going to be a fun time. Sit back, enjoy it and relax. You'll only have it once in your life.princess:

Huggie- yay clothes!!!:woohoo:

Shelly- yay shopping for the trip!:cheer2:

Mari- how are you today???

Belle is, thankfully, better. Her fever got all the way up to 105.5 last night and she was a bit out of it- sleeping/waking/talking about weird, I mean WEIRD things. I thought she was hallucinating. I was terrified. She wouldn't drink anything and was a bit lethargic. I told Mark I wanted to take her to the ER and he went up and started talking to her about different things while I made some sweet tea, thinking she would drink that and it would help her blood sugar to go up.
She grabbed the tea and drank a ton of it- and in about 15 minutes, she was a bit better. So I remembered all of the things I've been storing for TinkerBelle gifts and thought I'd give her a t-shirt.

Never, and I mean NEVER underestimate the power of Disney, guys!!!! :snooty:

She sat up, made me put it on her (It was a pink Sleeping Beauty T) and then she wanted me to carry her downstairs to show Mark b/c he was down here cleaning the kitchen.

So I brought her down and within 20 minutes, her fever broke, she was laughing, watching Blue's Clue's and drinking more tea.

So There ya go- my new solution for all that ails ya-
a glass of sweet tea and a new Disney T-shirt.

YMMV...

Jo

I'm feeling Ok today Jo. Thank you for asking  I"m happy that Belle is feeling better today. I would have been so scared again i would have been in the ER last night. Now I know to have a new Dis shirt handy and sweet tea....

Afternoon all! :goodvibes

Glad to hear Belle is better JO! How scary that must have been.

I am in the process of making a birthday cake for DS and cupcakes for his class. His birthday is Monday. He is having a friend over tomorrow and we are taking them to Chuck E Cheese and then back here for the ice cream cake I am working on right now! Then Monday I will take in cupcakes for his class. As per his instructions - white cupcakes, with chocolate frosting, and rainbow sprinkles!! :rotfl: :cake:

Oh cupcakes.... yummy in my tummy...

speaking of parties my DD is having a small party this year.... I mean only like 10 kids.... i spend way too much on big parties and it's such a hassle....a little bbq in the backyard will be ok....

hey guys - - i'm back :yay:

busy day at work :sad2: i can't wait until 5!!! :dance3:

i just realized that i didn't put directions in the shower invitations for tomorrow and "no big deal, everyone can mapquest it"... the mapquest directions are TERRIBLE! My grandparents built their house in the middle of the woods and the directions fail to tell people that they have to turn off of the main road to get to their house... :scared1: so now i'm gonna have 30 cars circling this street trying to find out where the heck it is - - - :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: - - - looks like it's gonna be another long night this time making " bridal shower this way -> -> ->" signs :guilty:

uuugggggghhhhhhhhhh, i think i'm the worst bride ever :bride: :sad2:

:rotfl:

We've been to Fun Fore All once. It was fun. Nothing great, Kind of like Chuck E Cheese, but a few outdoor rides also.

Never been to Safari Sams yet. Looks fun, but a little expensive.

Last year we had DS's party here. Remember the race car cake?? We had it outside, but somehow the kids dragged mud all through the house. I can remember being on my hands and knees scrubbing my new carpet after they left and saying that I was never doing that again!! I guess April in PA isn't the best time for a birthday party.

So we are going very small this year. One friend!! Hey - I figure we will probably only spend about $40-$50 tomorrow and with the money I save he can have extra spending money for WDW!! :yay:

I just got the I.C. cake recipe from a box! Just prepare your cake as normal. Soften some i.c. and spread it on top (instead of frosting) and then freeze the whole thing for at least 3 hours and right before you serve it top it with sliced bananas, hot fudge, strawberries, & pineapple.

Shelly OH that sounds GOOD..........................Yummy in my tummy

I don't have the luxury of being a sniffer yet....:sad2: :sad2:

But I envy you sniffer out there :worship: :worship:

Mari ~ You will be sniffing soon enough!!!!! :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

I was surprised to get it already. I really didn't expect it for another week. I just got my ME stuff this week!!

Did you give Mark sweet tea? I just wonder what you give your husband to get him to clean the kitchen. :confused3

uuugggggghhhhhhhhhh, i think i'm the worst bride ever :bride: :sad2:

Where are your brides maids? What are they doing to help you. That's what bridesmaids are for! I did everything for my friends shower. I just came off of matron of honor duty on Saturday. You need to whip those women into shape!!!! :dance3:

(FYI - my friend and I talked about when we both got married nearly 20 years ago our brides maids did nothing for us. Being a 40 year old bride and bridemaid makes a huge difference! ::yes:: Oh, and when we were bridesmaids we did little to help our friends. We were loser bridesmaids back in the day.)

The security guys spent the morning at my house. It should be locked up like Fort Knox.

My parents had flooding in their art gallery in Hot Springs. That storm was crazy!

Have a great weekend everyone!!

I probably won't be on here tomorrow with the birthday excitement and all!

Sunday's forecast is sunny and 62 degrees!! :goodvibes Boy I hope that is right!!! That will be a great day for soccer!! :yay:

:wizard: Sweet Disney Dreams all!! :cloud9: Not long now!!

yep - - - they are BUMS!!! I love em to death, but i don't think that any of them (well, only one of them... and she's the only one really helping) knew what they were getting themselves into...:sad2: plus, i never really sat them down to explain what i needed and what i expected them to do... :confused3

and i agree with the age thing... many of us (myself included) haven't even BEEN to many weddings so no one (especially me :rotfl2: ) knows what they are doing... we are a shameful bunch :rotfl:
