MAY 12th-19th!! THESE ARE THE MAYS OF OUR LIVES! II

I have been lurking yesterday and today.

I had the craziest day Tuesday afternoon.

I am home doing a few things before I pick up the kids for their orthodontic appointments.

The phone rings and it is my next door neighbor. She is calling to ask if i noticed a strange car in the driveway of the house on the other side of her house with 4 men in it. I open my blinds and I don't see the car. It is gone.

We start chit chatting and suddenly she yells....The car is back. The doors of the car are open. Where are the men?!! Where are they? Where are they? Where are they? She then yells, I am calling Rick. Call 911.

She calls Rick (who is a minister at our church) on his cell phone and says, "Rick are you home?" Rick says, "Nope." She yells, "Come home, your getting robbed!" Click! She hangs up.

Meanwhile, I am calling 911. About the time the operator gets on the phone with me, I see 2 of the guys running out to car with an arm load of electronics and they throw them in the backseat and run back in for more. Then the other two guys come out carrying the big screen TV. The car is only a 2 door car. They try to cram the TV in backseat but it won't fit. Then they decide to put it in the trunk, but they can't find their keys to open the trunk. Finally, they find their keys and open the trunk but the trunk won't close with the TV in it. Then the other guys come back out with more stuff. They jump in car and drive off.

I am freaking out as I think that Rick's 90 year old mother in law is in the house. She doesn't drive any more. Thank God she was out of town visiting one of their grandkids that day! No telling what would have happened to her.

As the guys drive off, I am telling 911 that the police can't miss the car as it has a TV hanging out of the trunk.

An off duty police officer who lives out here heard the call on his radio and started over here and located the car and followed it to a nearby nursing home. The guys jump out and dump the TV as it is busted. Then turn around and come back to our neighborhood. The police stopped them at our neighborhood entrance and arrested them! The guys said since the TV was busted, they were coming back to get more stuff!!!:scared1:

Can you believe that? I am so glad the police caught them.

Yesterday I fielded calls all day from our neighbors about the incident. Geez!!!

FYI - The guys simply kicked the front door in. It was crazy and scary at the same time!!!

Oh my goodness, how scary and how dumb can those guys be? Good thing for neighbors

 WOW NC that is scary!!

You better lock your house up tight when you leave for WDW!!

Looks like you only have 15 days to go!! :woohoo: How exciting!!

Wow NC, that is insane. Glad nobody was hurt.

It was pretty wild. The scariest part for me was thinking that "Gramma" was in the house.

Oh no, more plastic sniffing!!!

Quick, Jo, where are your husband's drug dogs?!?!?!

:rotfl2: :lmao: :cool1: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Jo- My girlfriend is going thru the same thing with her daughter. The doc says it is a 5 day virus. I hope she feels better soon. Maybe she will want an ice pop

Holy Crap. If i have to go through 5 days of this I think I might want to hurl too.

I got her temp down to 103. She is saying she wants toast- she never ate the last piece I made. So I'm going to try that- no butter, SEA!!!!!:goodvibes

Good thing I bought a case of cokes at costco the other day- looks like I'm gonna use a lot of them.

Is your g'friends daughter's temp high as well???

Hey Jo - sometimes my kids can keep liquid motrin or tylenol down better than they can keep the tablets down. I'm not sure if you gave her a tablet or liquid or if that would even help. It just seems the liquid is easier for them to digest.

Hope that helps!

I am home trying to make the beds etc. I have the alarm company coming to give the alarm system a going over. I want every window and door checked. I am slightly paranoid now.

Jo - I hope Belle feels better soon. As huggie said she might want and ice pop that will help her temp. I know what it is to go through that. I went 1 week with my DD like that last year....

Oh NC i would be too. I can't believe they kicked in the door. Good get everything chekced out and see if a neighbor can come over during the week to turn lights on and alternate the ones that stay on each night. That is what my mom does.

hey NC!

I'm glad you're on here- I wanted to tell you something.
First of all- thanks for the tip about the liquid- I've been using that, but up it comes. She just ate a whole piece of toast - so we'll see how that goes.

Second- ever ordered anything from iherb? http://www.iherb.com/?utm_source=y&...tandard&OVADID=12304076512&OVKWID=99621845012 I ordered those products you recommended to me from them. I never could get to Whole foods to pick them up-I thought it was a good deal for them- only $4 for shipping! I would've spent more than that in gas!
if you want to order from them, let me know and I'll pM you a code to get some $ off. They have a ton of supplements and such!

Gosh, Mari- I remember that! It's so awful to have sick babies.

Jo

Thank God she is better.... everytime she gets a slight fever there i go putting her in underwear and t shirt......

I haven't ordered from them but a forum I go on for children with learning differences has some folks that do order from them as well as the Vitamin Shoppe. Here's a funny for you guys, I have ordered some supplements from www.bodybuilding.com.

Hey NC what will you do with no ADR's.....

I guess I won't eat! :confused3

:rotfl:

My family is going to flip! :upsidedow

You can keep trying if only you get 1 ADR that would be great....
