So as of today I FINALLY got the last ADR that was eluding me. (Chef Mickey you are a fickle....female Pluto.) This means it's finally time to stop stressing about my dining reservations and start looking forward to Disney in 3 days!

Since I'll be working while I'm there (video game production stops for no mouse...) I'll have my laptop and plenty of late-night opportunities to update on my daily caloric intake (it will be large!)

About us: 2 20-somethings ready to burn the candle at both ends. This will be my 16th trip and her first. (And her first time on a plane for that matter) With the exception of the first meal we'll be dining on our own. My mother (whose vacation "miraculously" overlaps mine for a day), my sisters (who go to school in florida/work at Disney), and one of their random boyfriends will be joining us at WCC.

In any event, my ADRs:

Thursday 5/12

Late Dinner: Whispering Canyon Cafe I'm looking forward to when DGF needs ketchup and a straw...I'm not warning her!

Friday 5/13

Lunch: Sci-Fi Dine-in Theater I know it gets lackluster reviews by many, but I love the atmosphere, it's on her top 3 restaurants that she wants to go to, the burgers at lunch are pretty good, and it's her first time. You have to go at least once :)

Saturday 5/14

Lunch: Rainforest Cafe - AK OOP, obviously, but still one of my favorite chain restaurants. I go to the one near my house when i want to pretend I'm back at Disney World for an hour or two. We may skip this in favor of Flame Tree BBQ if we wind up at the DTD restaurant for dinner the night before.
Dinner: Chef Mickeys I've literally lost sleep over this ressie...sad, but true. I fondly remember the days you could get a walk-in here...

Sunday 5/15

Lunch: Le Cellier I've never been before and I'm looking forward to seeing what all the hype is about.
Dinner: Coral Reef Another restaurant on her top 3 list.

Monday 5/16

Late Dinner: California Grill 9:40 ADR. I'm not delusional to think that a table will miraculously appear in time for the fireworks, but we're planning on showing up early for cocktails while we watch the fireworks prior to seating. Or in between seating and apps in the event that said table miraculously appears. Either way at 10pm I'm planning on standing on the balcony with a Johnnie Walker Blue watching the fireworks. :)

Tuesday 5/17

Lunch: Teppan Edo Japanese Steakhouses are fun no matter where they are, so I'm looking forward to this one

Wednesday 5/18

Breakfast: 'Ohana We'll be cabbing it from ASM to make this for 7:35, but we're not wasting our last day!
Dinner: Mama Melrose's Probably my favorite restaurant on property, which is why it's my "Birthday dinner" (my bday is the 20th, this is as close as it'll get)

Any meals not labeled will be filled in by QS restaurants...I'll be playing that by ear.

I'm not sure if I'll be disciplined enough to remember to take pictures of my food before I eat it, but I'll do my best :thumbsup2

I'm in!

I cannot wait to read someone else's live reviews! We arrive the day you leave and I am so excited to be going back!

2 hours to go until I'm on my way to Logan International to catch our flight!

I haven't been able to sleep at all due to excitement and not wanting to miss our flight, so my first review will probably be an iced coffee with a double espresso shot lol!

The adventure begins!

Day 1 is in the books! Alas, I failed to get pics of the food today, but that will be rectified starting tomorrow :)

After landing, checking in at ASM, and heading out to MK we found ourselves at Cosmic Ray's for a 1/3 lb. angus bacon cheeseburger, a chocolate cake, and a coke for each of us. Burger was fantastic...the cake, not so much. A word to the wise: skip the dessert options at CR and ask to substitute a yogurt, an apple, or a piece of cardboard in favor of the terribly frosted, previously frozen cake.

Dinner at WCC went surprisingly well....well the food that is. The company left a lot to be desired after the entrees were served lol. We had Chris as a server, he's fantastic! Worked as a CM for over 30 years, funny, friendly, and really made the experience, kudos to him!

As for the food, I had the Chicken and Penne Pasta which was fantastic! Be warned, it's made with a good amount of garlic and Parmesan (bring mints!) but it's quite tasty. Don't order it expecting gorgeous aesthetics however! My mother had the trout, which she reported as being pretty good as well.

In any event, time to grab some shuteye for tomorrow...I'll be sure to get pics for the rest of the trip.
