May 12, 2007 -- Taking the Magic to the Mediterranean -- 14 day Repo Cruise!

Hi all,

Yes, I too have the diaper bag with Disney characters as a purse for the past few years. I did finally get the Furla purse I was looking for... but got it online instead of Italy as planned. Done buying purses for awhile, but am hooked on fine purse construction.

Scott, would love to see the haircut! And my biggest sorrow of the trip was not getting time to spend with you and Lynn. After spending a year talking to you, I was sorry we didn't get to know you better other than passing. Hopefully we'll be on another cruise at another time. OR def. if you get out here again.

I still have the plugged ear from the airplane, going on 10 days now. Have to see the ENT this week - UGH. Everyone has been at DL all week while I'm home getting caught up. They said the new Nemo submarine ride (which is all over the news this week) was excellent!!!! They are thrilled because we have 75 degree weather.

Eric, loved the pics of your mom's wheelchair. I was describing it to someone this week, so now I can show them the picture. Later guys...

Hey everyone, Happy Father's Day! Scott is having a good day. He's snoozin' away--his favorite thing. The girls made him breakfast and will make him dinner and dessert, too. I got him some Disney pins for a gift. The pins are not my thing, but he seems to go crazy for them!

Katey wore her puffy dress and sash to church. We thought the crown was a little much for the chapel, but I think she wore it in her Sunday School class. The congregation was very sweet to her. I wore the crown in the car on the way home--so fun. Too bad there was no one to WHOM I could do my Queen Mum elbow, elbow, wrist, wrist wave.

If Hadley can have her pink Barbie dress, I want my own tiara. We could sit around with PJ (anyone remember her?) and talk about how anatomically (??) incorrect Ken is.

Thank you for posting these pictures everyday. I'm saving off a few of them for my scrapbook. My camera was acting up part of the trip and so I didn't end up with many good ones on my own. I thought I made it up to the half-way party for pictures just at the end of the party. Does anyone have a picture of that with me in it?

Speaking of scrapbooking, Linda has me wanting to try it on my own. I feel so very un-creative though. I checked out a book from the library and I keep looking at it and wondering how people come up with the ideas.

Is that true and if so, how bad were they? Did you exchange money on the ship or get money before you left?

Hi!

Rachel was the Cruise Director. Pikey was not on our cruise. I think I read on another thread that he is on vacation that started the first day of the Repo Cruise. Not sure if he is returning or not. There is someone on the main board that emails him I believe. You could probably ask there.

Yes there were rough days. But everyone is different. One of the first days my mom and I both felt ill. After we got over that day we were not ill anymore. But... we had 13-23 foot waves on some days. Gale force winds across the bow made it very rocky. One day was Force 7 which is very high.

It was 5 out of 6 days of the crossing and between Tenerife and Cadiz was still rocky.

But all in all it was great! Many activities were indoors which were fine! One thing you have going for you is that you will gain 6 hours where we lost it. That was rough.

You will have a great time! Some of the people from this Repo decided to bring the Magic back!

Hey Connie, Anna and I sat with Michael making Flubber that night it was lots of fun and he was very nice.

I'm thinking we'll put together a backyard BBQ party if everyone has the time. Anna and I are thinking about doing the 5K on Sunday. Is everyone else doing the half marathon on Monday?

Rough seas... yes... for several days but if you have the patch don't worry all will be good... and the activities are really great will keep you very busy, that's if you want to.. we exchanged money on ship and that was great no fuss no muss.. but the rate was a little higher.. when we got home my husband went to disney guest services and exchanged it back to us.. they looked up the wall street and that was that. I am jealous.. enjoy

Hey Everybody just wanted to let you know I received my clothes from the Disney Magic this afternoon. I left 8 things and only got 4 back. I am really missing my USC sweatpants, but when we visit in September I will have to get some more. I am very thankful and I hope all the dad's had a wonderful Father's Day!

Had to get a new cellphone over the weekend.
Our wireless carrier was phasing out analog service.
Being the late adopters that we are, we still had an analog phone.
So we had to learn a new phone. It has all of those neat bells and whistles like downloadable ringtones and graphics. KEWL.
Did some shopping for ringtones. Lots of them out there.
Found one that was amusing, but not really practical.
The ringtone was an mp3 of Donald Duck behaving very badly.
Did not download it.

Found out though, could have used the phone on the Repo cruise.
Would have only cost $2.95 a minute.

Yes they opened up the kids club one night for the adults. They did it for the first time on the Westbound Panama Canal cruise. We overwhelmed them onthat one LOL!

So on longer cruises where they have few children, they open it up so the big kids can play
