Discovered about an hour ago that one of the bunnies (the shy one who always hides in the corner so it is easy to miss what is going on with her) is very sick. Rail thin under her fur and bleeding from her behind (blood on hutch was what tipped me off to fish her out and check on her) and very lathergic (sat on grass and didn't even try to hop off. We are headed to the vet in a half hour. I feel terrible as she may have been sick for a week or so without our realizing it and she seems so miserable. Two crying kids here (okay and one crying mommy). SEND GOOD VIBES THIS WAY. Thanks.

We love animals so our thoughts and prayers are with you. Please keep us updated.:sad1:

Someone posted awhile back about DL Tokyo. We went and had a great time at Disney Sea--we need one over here, totally cool staging and rides.

DL itself was awful for us. We happened to be there during a Japanese holiday and it felt like all of Japan was there. It took an hour and a half to get into the park. We only rode 3 rides the whole day. All fast passes were gone by 10am. They had a lottery to use the bathroom and to get lunch--no joke. Ride waits were 180 minutes, minimum. I am not exagerating. Most of the rides were just like the ones in DL, but they added (maybe temporarily) characters from that Tim Burton Christmas cartoon all over the Haunted House, along with some Pokemon like characters. It was culturally interesting, but weird, too. We rode that and the Jungle Cruise and Pirates. We saw an extremely short parade, and it was time to go. Their popcorn was all flavored and smelled great, but the lines for it were as long as for the lines to the rides, so we just smelled.

Tokyo Disney, from what I understand, is not owned by Disney, but is liscensed, so Disney does not run it. I could tell the difference. I think they do run Paris and Hong Kong, though. Not sure.

I agree about Disney Sea, but thank goodness I did not run into the crowds at DL that you did, it was actually pretty nice. Of course we went during only about 3 weeks of their VALUE season. It is definitely a regularly crowded park, so we got lucky and hit it at the slowest time it can get. It was dead time of year, and even that seemed a little crowded to me, but I can tell it could have been 50 times worse. We even encountered short popcorn lines (even though at times, they could get a little long). I got the buckets of strawberry, and the famous honey flavored. They were a little plain tasting for this sugar girl though. I still have the souvenir buckets!
I was not able to see the Nightmare before Christmas, but went on the regular Haunted mansion. I love the holiday version (saw that at DL) but was able to see the famous Winnie the Pooh ride, and lots of others. But you are right, most things there you can see at DL except the Winnie the pooh ride.
I truly loved that place, but about starved. I hated their food. I about died from lack of carbs and sugar! :lmao:

We were there on a layover between China and home, so it was just bad luck to be there at such a busy time. Our hotel said that since it was Monday, it should be okay, neglecting to remember the hlidays.

I did not know about the Winnie the Pooh ride! What was it like? We did no research just went because we had time to waste. I'm so sad I missed something!

Did you go into that under the sea area at Disney Sea? It was beautiful! Almost missed it, but DH found it during a babyswap.

Yes, their holidays are so different than ours. We went and checked in the day after HK's biggest holiday, they have a Labor Day (week kinda thing) the last week of April into the first week of May every year. We knew that so we checked in on May 7th Sunday, after everyone checked out. We had the whole place to ourselves until the following weekend. I am not kidding when I say we were the only family on Main Street to get into the park at opening. I've even got pictures. Main Street totally empty. It was awesome. We also had breakfast that morning in the park and we were the only family eating in the park. No other families ever came in. Talk about having the whole park to yourselves!

The week before, the same madness existed from what you described in Tokyo. wait times, crowds, etc. but for us it was pure heaven. We planned it perfectly!

You will have to tell me when that time was....for future planning purposes of course (don't know how soon, but at least can know when!)

That's terrible. Our thoughts are with you. Last Feb our dog died the day before my parents were due to go on a Disney cruise (which they couldn't change due to flights and everything) so they had to go feeling awful leaving me having to arrange a cremation. Thinking of you and sending you good thoughts.

Just so everyone knows - I did not have any luck with the tabs for washing. I have one more place to try tomorrow. I hope that works. Everything here going well and looking forward to talking DVC. Erik - I know you and Jason leave soon. Have a great trip and I will miss your posts, but look forward to meeting you.

:)someone mentioned walmart had concentrate in single packets liquid and also small bottles of liquid concentrate. check that out, since the tablets are not new and I think they just don't make them anymore.:teleport:

Michelle2 - just noticed that you are on the eastbound pc cruise. Why don't you switch to the westbound with a group of us? :cool1:

I wish I could. I have another friend on the westbound who was trying to get me to switch too, but since I am taking the whole family that time, our older kids cannot miss that much school. By going on the eastbound, they would not miss hardly any....

Hadley, I am so sorry about your bunny. I hope there is something that can be done...that is so sad.

Have you noticed any dietary triggers with your flareups? Mine flares up when I eat too much wheat. It was very depressing to find out I couldn't have Triscuits or Frosted Mini Wheats anymore. I should give it all up, but I can't. But if I have too much pasta, pizza and sandwiches in a week, bad things happen.
Interesting - I never thought about this. I'll have to think over if I have been eating differently the last few weeks.

I do hope that everything is alright with her. :sad1:

Thanks, if I find the single packets of liquid - does anybody want those? Let me know and I will go check that tomorrow at a "newer" Walmart.:cheer2:

Please everyone...

Check the transfers in your documents. Disney messed ours up for the second cruise - we did not receive transfers from the ship to the hotel!! All our docs for the second cruise have to be redone. So, please, please check yours to be sure you have all the transfers that you have paid for - for the correct directions of travel!

Airport to hotel
hotel to ship
ship to hotel or airport
hotel to airport

check them carefully - our TA didn't see the docs first. I scanned them in and sent them to him - and we found the error in time. But the time is close for the b2b people!!

Check the transfers in your documents.
Could you let me know what I am looking for. I'm supposed to have transfer from the ship to the airport in Barcelona. Are you saying there should be something in my documents for this? If so, I am missing mine also.

We just found out we might be coming on the cruise. We're scrambling to make arrangements and have 2 cabins on hold for 24 hours. We are: Julie (me), dh Steve, dd Sadie (12), ds Sig (8) and dd Madalyn (2).

I can't read through the whole thread, but I have a very important question:

Is anyone staying in Barcelona after the cruise and if so, where are you staying? We're thinking of flying out Monday and need to find a place for five people. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.
Julie
(hopefully to be joining you)

we are at the AC barcelona - 4 people in 2 rooms.

The Winnie the Pooh ride is the best in the world---puts our American counterpart to shame, not that it isn't still cute :) . It is this trackless ride that glides along... I have no idea how they did some of the effects that they did. When you went into the windy part, it was really windy, when you went into the Tigger room, the whole room bounced...amazing.

And yes, I saw Ariel's Grotto, wasn't it beautiful?? I had 2 full days at DS and one at DL, and stayed onsite, so I was able to see most everything. I would love to go back, and pack more snacks!!

And padalyn, we have a reservation there for the night after the cruise too. We have that and the Renaissance at the airport reserved, and now just need to decide which one.

The pages are in the middle of the packet and these are the INCORRECT pictures:

If you have purchased a transfer from the airport to the hotel the bottom image should NOT look like this - I have not purchased that transfer. If you have a transfer from the hotel to the airport is SHOULD look like the top image - be sure you have the correct date - this one is not valid - since Disney refused to let us have a transfer for the 4th day in Barcelona - they supposedly credited this to someone credit card in our group (we are still trying to figure out whose!!). This transfer is not valid since Disney will not be doing transports on the 10th

We really need a new camera. Has anyone worked with a Nikon D50? :confused3 I dont know much about it except the photo quality is suppose to be amazing. Is it user friendly? Does anyone have a digital camera they would suggest we look at?

thanks!;)

Maybe the photography board would give you more info - there are a lot of poeple there who really are willing to discuss different cameras. main page - near the bottom.

I don't have any that look like either one of these. Since my transfer is from the ship directly to the airport, maybe I don't need anything for that. At least I don't have the one that says I haven't purchased any ground transfers, so maybe I'm OK.

I have psoriasis and occasionaly it will show up on my eyelids. I would wait and see what the doctor says though.

Speaking of which, my psoriasis has decided to flare and my legs look like I have chicken pox or something. I probably won't be able to wear a swim suit for the cruise, or even shorts for that matter. I'm kinda bummed. I get light therapy twice a week so I have a nice year-round tan and I won't be able to show it off. My light therapist says I need to get out in the sun though (to compensate for not having the light treatments during the cruise) so maybe I'll hide out on deck 7 aft.

Do you have RA? Some people have the psorasis as a symptom...get some more sun...people won't really notice the patches

Good to know. Did you ask them when/if we will all get magnets? 0h wait, that would be a different shoebox!:rotfl2:

I actually did think about it...........................after I hung up the phone:mad:

It is a week long and ends the first weekend in May. Don't know how it works when April/May get into funky dates. But this year, I believe it is April 30-May 6
