cool thanks for the reply!

As I looked back at Debbie's list with the pics it was Ken who HAD the reposition this tshirt on...so i guess I asked the right folks! :)

E & J, Here is one of my fav. threads. I think if you do a search you can find it under Disney Cruise Line Forum. I liked it so much that I made a word doc. and put a copy of each of my fav. signs to plan ahead for later - including how to make them.

What Does YOUR DCL magnetic door sign look like? With other great tips for your sign.

I love the Reposition This t-shirts. They crack me up. And I loved the Panama banner.

Do a search for the navigators, too. I know I've seen them on here somewhere!

Does anyone remember how far in advance we had to organize the dinnertime, Palo brunch, and tea links? Are we going to do that this time?

I just talked to DCL and he told me that he thinks they should announce the excursions this summer and booking for Palo etc. will be approximately 90 days if you are paid in full. The excursion contracts have not been completed yet.

OOOOOOH....a lanyard?! That's fun!! :cheer2:

So does this group generally do fun stuff like that? I saw the pictures of the banner from the Panama Canal cruise and did I see on Debbie's list/roster a picture of a couple with "Reposition This" T-Shirts, too?

Erik & Jason

Yes, this group does special things...you can take part in as much or as little as you want. The lanyards are a gift, just as many other things will be on this cruise. The dis board people/group deliver gifts to each cabins stateroom and hang them on their fish, or put them in the fish extenders. Debbie, I am sure you already posted a picture. On the panama cruise, we got gifts every day, multiple times per day because there were so many dis'ers in the group. It was like christmas and we had a blast. You don't have to bring a gift for each cabin, that is up to you, of course.

Everyone uses the list Debbie is keeping as their guide for deliveries.
Just to give you ideas, on the panama cruise, we got two different magentic door signs, candles, m&ms especially printed for the panama cruise, postcareds, leis, a be prepared gift bag with safety pins, tums hand sanitizer, etc, visors, there was just too much to mention, but you get the idea. A lot of people got ideas from orientaltrading.com. Many went to their local dollar store, etc.

Hope this helps.

That's when shipping stuff to the port came in handy...all those huge boxes of one-way stuff.....

Anybody know how this cruise is selling? At the beginning of the May PC repo the DIS-folks seemed to represent a considerable percentage of the passengers...enough, at least, to be noticed and labled "those lanyard people" by other passengers... It would be interesting to know how it is selling in Europe.....

I am not sure if I can scrape up any for the new cruisers.... but we shall see :smooth: We did have a good group on the First Repo cruise and I can see that this group will be just as wonderful :thumbsup2 Many gifts were given, but that is completely your choice! But it was fun to come back to the room and see what was left.

Someone can do a primer on how to make your own magnet for the door. Some of the door decorations were amazing. And believe me, I saw every door that a DIS'r had, some a few times :rotfl: Many of our activities just kinda "came about" from conversations. You never know what a simple comment can bring. Someone had brought up about getting Disney PJ's and that evolved into a Pajama Party at Lumieres one morning "Ummmm Party of 40 please" :)

Here are my imagestation albums from the repo cruise. There are ALOT of pictures! Ask questions if you would like: Album 1 Album 2 - The canal Album 3

I will try and locate the scans of the navigators

I will add some of the links to the page in a few days.
Debbie

All good info....Thanks! It all makes it sound even MORE exciting! hehehe

And, if I do say so myself, I am a crafty little thing so perhaps once we're settled in our new house we'll take a look and see if there's any fun goodies we can muster up! :tigger:

I don't know what anyone else has heard about how the trip is selling....but just word of mouth I had heard that there was a big rush right when tickets went officially on sale...and I know that we were trying to procrastinate buying our tickets but our contact at mousears contacted me and told me that she had been informed that there were only 7 category 7 rooms left on the boat at that time (mid April) so we decided to buy it up before it was too late and we ended up sleeping in a lifeboat! :lmao: So for whatever that's worth...... :)

OK....last post of the morning...hehehe :lmao: (my laptop died 2 days ago :badpc: so I can only access email and the web at work so I have to catch up each morning..LOL)

Debbie...your picture collection is amazing! It makes me even MORE excited for the trip....I wonder if they'll bring "Ducky" on this cruise, too...he was on our Wonder Cruise in Feb. and Jason and I fell in love with him....we actually won two of his sketches at his lecture, too...Grumpy and Lady...but I begged and pleaded with the woman who won Tigger to trade my two sketches for hers...and I GOT IT! :bounce: :tigger: It's framed along with a photo of him sketching it and hanging in our Tigger and Roo room (I am an avid Tigger obsessive and Jason collects Roo).

Here is another thread with helpful/fun ideas: What is the BEST cruise tip you ever learned from the Dis?

When I called DCL yesterday, I asked what was still available for our two cruises and she said all balcony categories were still available. Esp for the repo.

I don't think the ship will be very crowded. This could be nice.

Heading off to Grand Cayman this morn, just noticed that the Magic should be in Port on Grand Cayman on Tuesday, will have to keep an eye out for her. Doubt if we will see her as we tend to avoid the 7 mile beach area, and will be on the NW side of GC near the Turtle Farm. It would still be fun to see her.

I just noticed you changed your countdown timers :rotfl:

When is your December trip? :thumbsup2

Debbie

It will be a late Oct early Nov trip, no Dec this year.

I agree that having a ship that isn't too crowded could be really nice....easier access to pools, spa, Palo, etc.......although Disney is NOTHING if not good at marketing itself....so I have no doubt that they'll pull the proverbial rabbit out of the hat to get more people aboard :wizard: by offering some deal or incentives as the date gets closer if it's not selling well...I noticed even just yesterday that this board has an announcement posted about getting a $300 onboard credit if you book a category 1-7 room by the end of May....but whatever...we got our room and that's what we care about :yay:

I have to tell you all that I told Jason last night about all our fun posts on this thread and about "fish extenders" and magnetic door signs and goody bags and lanyards, etc.....and Jason (who is much much shyer than I am) laughed and responded by saying, "Oh goodness...you've joined some Disney Cruise cult haven't you?" hehehe :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

hi strangers!

i just found my computer buried under all the "important" stuff on my desk!!

i am really looking forward to this cruise....we are in an inside room just due to cost but i think we will like it...our kids stayed in this room the last time we cruised and there was planty of room...we are only in our rooms to sleep so hard to spend more $$$ for something we won't use although we would probably use a balcony more than usual for this cruise....i wonder if this cruise will be like the last may repo with few children?

Just wait until we start talking about the secret handshake and ceremonial tattoos! :rotfl2:
