Okay... party on Deck 7. We'll get out workouts walking up the stairs from Deck 2 :rotfl2:

Hey Debbie... can you put the link to the deck plans on your Crusin' to the Med page??? Pretty Please... :thanks:

Oh okay......

I have updated the page with some more friends! I have also added a link to the top of the page for the deck plans. Since I have not been able to figure out how to make the picture stay the right size :confused3 you just have to click on it to make it bigger.

In addition, I am keeping an excel spreadsheet, and if there are any special occasions I will try to add it to that list. And if any one wants to do anything with it, just let me know :cheer2:

Chilly day here in Ohio, but at least no white stuff!

Debbie

Thanks Debbie! You are awesome to keep this current! :cheer2:

Off to the post office now to mail the tax stuff! :furious:

Debbie,
I'd be happy to tally up the special occasions and send it to you in the morning.
Kelly

PS Glad to hear you have no snow, we are getting some well deserved warm weather this week, but we have snow on every moutain around us. Translation: DL will be crowded, but you'll be able to see the snow on the mountains when you're on any of the tall rides. Real snow, not the matterhorn.

Thanks, Lynn, Bonzie1, Kathy, Angie, & Jeff.

It's been a big decision to join DVC (as you know) and your input has been helpful. It's nice to know that I haven't heard one negative item about the program. I'm confused about how renting works?? Has anyone bought via resale? I like the fact that you can mix and match and use them on the cruises. Kathy, what is the "senses" event that you mentioned?
Kelly

We have added on a couple of time via resale. Worked well and saved a little. Also on a couple of occasions, when tying to buy via resale, DVC exercised the first right of refusal. As Lynn said DVC has been great for us. Make sure you have a good understanding of the point system i.e. banking, borrowing, deadline dates etc… Also I highly recommend that one have a method of keeping track of your points. I use Quicken, and have them set us as an account. Make sure to get a confirmation number for any transaction of your points and I make sure to get the CM’s name. DVC has made a couple of boo boos , and so have I. Just good to stay on the same sheet of music.

Kelly, we've also purchased resale. But, as Scott mentioned, if the price is too good to be true DVC will probably exercise its right of first refusal. Resale was great for us for several reasons... cost, and we got to purchase at our resort of choice, as we weren't interested in SSR. (but... the expiration date of SSR is longer than other DVC properties) We don't own a LOT of points... initial purchase 150, and add-on 100. For now, this works for us. Don't forget to figure in your maintenance fees. Of course, should we win the lottery... then we'd buy more! :rotfl2:

HAPPY TUESDAY EVERYONE!

Hey... I remember we threw around a couple of names for the cruise... did we decide on anything?

Why thank you, Shari! I can't believe Dennis is 61 - just one year shy of Social Security eligible!! I guess all this Disney keeps us young at heart. pirate:

Peter’s birthday? 5/13/07 – Scott should this be on the list?

Only if we want to give him a hard time when we see him in Barcelona.

milestogo: GOOD FOR YOU!!! :thumbsup2 Let us know how you make out. We have BVW + OKW!!!

Thanks to all for the pixiedust: I've got my extra strength antibiotic and am ready to settle in and get better.

Maybe I'll have to think about designing a t-shirt or something for the repro to the Med cruise... or a sailaway gift or something... gotta keep busy somehow! :cheer2:

O.K. Georgie & Scott, where did you find the resale points? Was the transaction painless? How do they work with your other points? Closing costs?

For example, we own at OKW. So if we bought more at OKW(resale) does Disney combine those points or are they separate like another resort?

Just curious. We avoided the "addonitis" when we were at SSR for a visit. Now, we are thinking mebe we could use additional points.

Bob & Lee, I went through Jaki Apetz @ Atimeshare.com

I'll let the experts answer the add on questions because I'm too new at this whole thing.
Kelly

Bob,

You would need to find a contract for sale with your same use year, makes it easier to keep track of one use year. The points are kept on a separate contract. i.e. your original contract # will show a .1, .2, .3 etc for your added on contracts. If you stay at OKW the point tracking will be much easier. We have contracts at all DVC properties and when making a reservation we need to make sure we tell MS from where to use the points. Actually the member site is great for tracking your points and reservations.

Adding on via resale was painless. The pain is waiting to see if your off passes FROR. Sometime DVC is quick and sometimes the are slow. We have only done two of our addon’s via resale. DVC has had some pretty good deals. Some contacts the seller pays closing, usually when you make an offer on a contract a escrow check will be required. There are several resale folks out there, another one is DVC By Resale, and the Time Share Store.

Hope this helps.
