Welcome, Jeff.

Debbie, OOPS, my fault. I forgot to make sure I was on the list. I realized that we were on the list for the first 11 day (which we are continuing on) and didn't realize I wasn't on this one. I'm a big dork! Thanks, Kelly

Early dining.

Welcome Aboard Jeff. We are just across the hall from you guys in 7128. DO feel free to jump in. Many of us know each other from previous cruises and are excited about meeting new folks.

54 Adults (and that is using the term loosely :rotfl2: )

Deb, I resemble that remark and proudly so. :teeth:

The KEWL thing about this trip will be upon return to work I will have one week of work till retirement. YEAH!!!!!! :cool1: :cool1:

Don't know why but Gibralter is a big draw onn this cruise for me. As they say when the apes go so go the British. Lord Nelson etc, stoked with history, Ike planned the invasion of North Africa from there...

Deb, did I mention it is located at 36.8N and 5.21W :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Have you gotten the Atlantic charts loaded yet???
I will have to add the coordinates to the webpage. It is the only way I know where we are! Actually Gibraltar is fascinating. You may have to do a teachers guide for us again like the canal :lmao:

I have been working on deck plans with the cabins highlighted that we are using. When you get the picture click on it to make it bigger. I am not very good at it and if anyone can help me make it span the page I will listen!

Deck plans

I have not added it to the page yet. I will do that in a few days. Looks like the area where Scott is will be popular!

Thanks for the welcome Ken. I just e-mailed my info to Debbie. I see that Cacruisin is going to be our next door neighbor. We are in stateroom 7127

Jeff

Hi neighbor  and welcome aboard. to across the hall neighbor ScottH and Snyders and around the corner neighbor Videogal1 too!

Debbie - love the deck plans.

We got back from VB/WDW on Friday evening. It was a great trip although very windy at VB. We beat the crowds by getting to the parks at opening and leaving in the early afternoon. We managed to get to AK on Friday morning and rode EE before our flight home. We had a great DIS reunion with folks that we cruised with last summer. They are all cruising together again in the Med on 28 July 07. We would have loved to sail with them again but that date just didn't work for us.

Welcome aboard Jeff. We're practically across the hall from you in 7124. It looks like there are several of us on deck 7 aft. Maybe the deck 7 aft verandah will make a good party spot for us.

littleowensmommy, Welcome back, I see that you are a DVC member. We are going to join DVC at OKW (buying a resale.) Any advice? And have you used your points for cruises? We thought we'd start with 250 pts. All advice is welcome.... Kelly

Milestogo, we are DVC members, our original points, and the majority of our points are at OKW, it is our favorite DVC resort. You will love it. We have done all our cruises on points. It is one of the best investments we have ever made. 250 is a good start, you may find, like us, that you will want to add more points as finances allow. I'm sure Scott could add a lot more when he checks in next.

:welcome: :welcome: :welcome:

To all the new-comers!

I still have to pinch myself to be sure this isn't a dream, and that we are really going! :goodvibes

It's a beautiful day here in NJ. I think spring is REALLY finally here.

Welcome back littleowensmommy! Hope your trip was a good one. :thumbsup2

As far as points... we've taken many shorter cruises on points... don't quite have enough for longer cruises. We are glad to be DVC members (OKW + BWV).

Has anyone heard any more about the DCL excursions to DLP after the repro? I'm on a wait list with our TA, just in case this becomes a reality, but I don't have any of the details... Anyone? :confused3

Thanks!

(Not so) Happy Tax Day :furious:

Welcome back Littleowensmommy!

Hey, I just noticed my little thingie under my name changed to DIS Veteran!

On the 11 night cruise 5/27/07, Jonathan and I will celebrate our 8th anniversary. Are there any other special celebrations in our group during the repo?

Hi Kelly,

We love DVC. We own 350 pts at SSR. We don't use our points to cruise because we go to WDW at least twice a year. We like to get a 2-BDR unit and bring friends with us. Our favorite time to visit WDW is in October for MNSSHP and F&W. We try to avoid Friday and Saturday night stays to save points although we make an exception during F&W since our favorite event (Party for the Senses) is only held on Saturday evenings. We love the flexibility. We've stayed at HHI, DLH, BCV, SSR, VB and BWV...all on points and we've loved them all. We make good use of the rent/trade board in order to secure 11-month reservations outside of our home resort for popular reservations such as BCV or BWV during F&W, HHI in the summer, VB at Easter, etc. Let me know if I can be of any further assistance and congratuations!

Kathy

It does look like Deck 7 aft is going to make a good party spot. May 13 is my birthday and this cruise is a birthday present from my GF. I am also a DVC member and it is one of the best purchases I ever made.

I think it is DCL's way of keeping us together, making it easier to keep an eye on us. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Okay... party on Deck 7. We'll get out workouts walking up the stairs from Deck 2 :rotfl2:

Hey Debbie... can you put the link to the deck plans on your Crusin' to the Med page??? Pretty Please... :thanks:

Kelly

Our 17th anniversary is March 17th. We are currently planning a grownups only trip to WDW and the Wonder, but I can't imagine DH really taking +3 weeks off in a 10 week period. Nor can I imagine leaving our kids that much. I expect as we get closer, that trip will get cancelled and we will celebrate our anniversary on the repo. I'm thinking a Spa Villas treatment and Palo on May 17th .... :cloud9:

Hey Jeff, I think May 13 is Peter's B-day also. I guess we will be met by an old guy in Spain.

We will be celebrating 40 years of marriage in October 2007. The cruise will be just a few months early....but hey that's when the Mouse wants to take me across the Atlantic and so that's when we will celebrate!!

We are also DVC members (250 at VWL 100 at BCV) and by banking and borrowing points we were able to take ourselves, kids and grandkids to WDW four days (5 nights) and on a 4 day cruise. We also have used points for ourselves twice and are treating DD and DSIL this Dec with points to a 7 day cruise as college graduation gift for her. We LOVE DVC and have been able to do alot that I could not even dream about before.

Is it black and off the shoulder? I was drooling over it since it first arrived.
Nope, it's navy and has criss-cross straps. I think one of the reasons it was on clearance was because Field's had it on the hanger without the straps crossed. It looked pretty funny when I first tried it on until I figured out the straps. I bet whoever was watching the dressing rooms that day got a good laugh!

At least these new dresses give us some incentive to keep up the exercise and eating right. At least that's what I'm hoping for myself.

Our 20th anniversary is March 27 and my 50th birthday is March 10th of next year.

I totally understand. Even two weeks without my "furry" children is going to be really tough. We haven't gone on this long of a vacation in 10 years!

Conversation with my DH this weekend:
DH: Why did you set this up to record on Tivo?
Me: Because it's a travel show about Spain.
DH: Why do we care about Spain?
Me: :sad2:
