:surfweb: I think I put my time in on the computer today! I finally was able to re-book my spa appointments and all but one excursion,:woohoo:

The Gibraltar walking tour was sold out, but you guys made me feel brave about not needing it. I think we will try to do this one without a tour.:thumbsup2

:sad2: On a sad note we couldnt get our Palo reservation back so will just have to hurry to book that one on the ship.

The supervisor I spoke with today called me back to say that most of my original plans were still available and to keep trying to book on my own. I was a bit surprised that she didnt try to book anything for me. Just happy to be up and running...:3dglasses

Boy have I got a story for you guys...

Kathy (Littleowensmommy) called tonight from their almost new home of Coronado. After a very busy week of trying to pull together their new home plans, moving and rushing around to make it all come together in a single week, Kathy took a big mistep and ended up breaking her ankle and a severe sprain on the other!:faint: She is currently in a wheel chair and trying to figure out how to get home and organize for the movers to come next week. As if it wasn't enough to be moving across country, DH changing jobs, kids leaving school early, selling and buying homes and being homeless in between the movers and the cruise beginning! OY:scared1: She promptly told the doctors that she had to be able to get on this cruise in 4 weeks and that was that! They are hoping that she will be on a cane by then and the sprain will be well enough to walk. Needless to say she will not be on top of the tables flamenco dancing in Cadiz:dancer: Anyway she asked me to post what was happening and said she should be able to get online in a couple of days to say hi. Some pixy dust would be good about now. pixiedust:

With our cruise being only 4 weeks away, we need to finalize the children's gift list. This way all the wonderful volunteers, can have a chance to get their 'items' ready.

Sunday will be the last day, that you can get your child added to the 'Children's Gift List'. Everyone that is on Debbie's Cruise list has already been added! I am looking for anyone that is not on this list. If you would like to add your child, please send me a pm with: your name, child's name, age, & stateroom #.

So if anyone is still lurking... please come join us!!

I want to say a special thanks, to everyone who signed up to purchase & deliver gifts!!!! :cheer2:

Ouchies, I hope that she feels better. What bad timing with all that is going on in their lives right now. I had a sister inlaw that did about the same thing...took a mis step on the stairs, and had to have surgery on it.

Lots of pixie dust that she can walk in time for the cruise

I can create a spreadsheet with the DISboard name and room number, and have a place to change the number. They can be put on the message boards. Would that be easier?
Debbie
I believe that seaulater was planning on putting this information in the mini navigator also. Correct me if I'm wrong.

How long ago did you apply? Jeannine applied almost 10 weeks ago and he check has been cashed, and she has a number online but still no passport!!

THANKS for the info!!

I just looked on the calendar and my dad applied on 4/2 and he had it on 4/11. He did pay for the expedite. I don't know if you did that. I hope you get it soon. The way they talked, I didn't expect to get it until about 5/5!

Ok, I went in and checked what is available for you and this is all I got:

Barcelona - Nothing

Cadiz - Flamenco in Puerto de Santa Maria (CD-08)

Gibraltar - Dolphin World (GB-07), Fortress Gibraltar (GB-06), Ocean Odyssey Sailing Center (GB-14), Panoramic Gibraltar & Afternoon Tea (GB-02), Rock Tour GB-04)

Tenerife - Nothing

Hope this helps you!

I have a question - if the ship is half empty, why are the excursions sold out or unable to book? I find this odd. Has anyone had this problem on past cruises?

OK - I went to the mail box today and there was a large packet from Disney. I thought "cruise docs" or at least "magnets". No... it was the travel kit that we all received in January. I guess I'm getting it a second time because I cancelled and rebooked. Sounds like CACruisin' got the same thing for the same reason.

So I'm wondering... Those of you that are posting that you received cruise docs, is that what you are getting also?

Our cruise docs are here!

Came 2 day UPS. Called my parents, and they didn't get theirs yet and they are in FL.

There was a sheet for Helpful Hints for your Trans-Atlantic Voyage. In the section about shore excursions all the stuff is about Italy! Ah, Disney.

Okay, you are about 11 miles from me - I hope I get mine tomorrow! LUCKY!:) :)

OK, fortified with all your postings about excursions and some of you actually seeing that the horse show was available, I took the risk and cancelled my alternative Cadiz excursion. Sure enough, all the available Cadiz excursions showed up. And lo and behold, the horse show was there and I grabbed it as quick as I could. Success - this is the one excursion I really really wanted. Thanks to whoever cancelled.

AuntyBrat - let me know what you are looking for in Barcelona, and I'll see if it shows availability on my list. Maybe they changed their software between last week and now and that's why things disappeared that you had seen before. I seem to recall one day last week when everything was down while they did an update.

I tried to get the horse show too and only one excursion showed up. :sad2: littleowensmommy I am sooo sorry to hear about your ankle. Welcome to the newcomers!

Thanks for the offer, but we were looking at the Guadi tour and decided to keep what we had since you didn't actually get to go in and tour one of the houses. It was just a 'drive by' which we get on our current excursion. We figure we will put it on our list of things to do when we go back again.

Also for the person wondering about the upgrades:

We have an excursion in every port & brunch, tea & dinner and Palo. No spa ressies. Hope this helps.

It sounds like there are several people in the same boat as us - trying to get tickets to the horse show. I spoke to DCL today about several things and this was one of them. A very helpfull lady told me that she could give me the contact details of the tour group that is running it and I can get in touch with them directly. She said that it should be no problem getting to the show even if D is full. So on Monday I will contact her again and get the info. I will post it here when I have some news. Let me know here who might be interested and I will try and get a group rate! This is the one excursion we want to do as we will be doing most of the other places on our own.
Rgds,
Greg:)

Littleowensmommy - sure sounds like you can use the cruise!

I had the same problem - breaking an ankle one month before a cruise and was told 6 weeks in a cast! Bummed out BUT I asked the doc if I could have the solid cast removed at the 4 week point and if they would put one of the light weight walking casts on? It worked great! It is light and you can remove it for a bath, shower or even a swim. Worth a thought!
Rgds,
Greg:)

Looks like we got "scared out". We are now scheduled to ride to the dealers in Ft. Collins, Greeley, Thornton then back to High Country.

But, HOG has a ride to Terry Ranch for lunch on May 5th - hope the weather is better! Get those bikes running and meet us there.

5/5 is the day I return from CA, so might stop in on the way back from Denver. We will see, but I must get the bikes fired up.

Kathy, do get better, changing jobs, moving etc was enough but hang in there.

Happy B-Day ZOE!!!! Have fun at DL, like that is hard…. Tee heee

Tuscany on a Harley, not for me nope, that would have to be a Ducati for sure…..

Trying to remember if we did the online cruise doc check in???? Off to the file…yep did them.

No cruise documents here yet.

Lynn has started to organize the packing for us, she does a great job.

Will make orange/pineapple macadamia nut pancakes this morning for breakfast.

Today we will get some of the materials to start framing out the basement. Hopefully I can get at least one room framed in. finding tools from the move may be the big challenge.

Work has been started on our out building (pole barn) and we hope to have it done before we leave on this cruise. After it is done anyone want to stop by and help lug about 30 SCUBA tanks from a basement???

Have a great weekend kiddies,

OMG! That is all she needed! Hope she gets home safely and then can relax on the cruise!

Yup she is putting it in the mini-navigator. I was just thinking about the room changes that may happen at the port. This way the room numbers can change. Just a thought.

Given that we are now 4 weeks away from the sailing :cool1: we need to finalize the list of children who will receive DIS gifts. So, if anyone is out there lurking and hasn't gotten on the cruise list, please do so before Sunday.

Special thanks to all who signed up to deliver gifts!!!! :cheer2:

Hi! We're a last minute add to the 14 day cruise! We can't wait. I'm traveling with my mom and my five year old daughter. We haven't been assigned a state room yet but I did sent an email to Debbie and have asked to be included in the roster. If you could add us to this list I'd be grateful.

Beth Dahlenburg
Morgan Dahlenburg, girl age 5
Marilee Wyatt - grandmother

I'll keep reading the board so I can get caught up to speed with all the activities but please let me know if there are things that would be of interest to a five year old.

Thanks,
Beth
